What Is Sword Saint?

Sword Saint is a medium-mastery cursed technique based on the “Ragna Crimson” style. It grants you access to a summoned spectral katana and four signature moves:

1. Spirit Breaker – A hyper-armor dash that pierces through enemies.
2. Curtain Call – A long, cancellable lunge for repositioning or punishing retreating foes.
3. Onrush – An auto-targeting flurry that chains hits while charging your cursed energy.
4. Spectral Summon – Temporarily call forth your katana for ranged slashes (cancelable).

To use these, you must have the katana summoned (via your skill menu) and meet the mastery and grade requirements.

Requirements Before You Begin

• Medium Mastery ≥ 60
• Sorcerer Grade ≥ 2
• Character Slot free, or be prepared to roll on a fresh slot to avoid losing progress
• Access to the Starter Village and ability to teleport via runestones

Step-by-Step Obtainment

1. Reach the Starter Village and Meet the Quest NPC

• Spawn in your Starter Village. There’s no central tutorial—explore until you find a quest giver inside one of the first houses in Nagano Village.
• Confirm you meet the requirements (60 Medium Mastery, Grade 2).

2. Activate the Teleport Rune to Naga-no Village

• Head northeast out of the village to find a runestone (a glowing circle on the ground).
• Interact to unlock fast travel to Naga-no Village.

3. Speak to the Sword Saint Trainer

• In Naga-no Village, enter the house marked on your minimap (usually at the village’s edge).
• Talk to the NPC to accept the “Sword Saint” quest, which asks you to collect four sword fragments.

4. Collect the Four Sword Fragments

You only need to interact with each fragment; you won’t have to defeat every ambusher.

Kirasaki Outskirts

• Fast travel to Kirasaki via any unlocked runestone.
• Head to the marked cave entrance; pick up the first sword.

Tundra Temple (Forgotten Hero)

• Teleport to the Snow Biome runestone.
• Follow the road west until you see the temple stairs; the second sword sits atop the lower level.

Sen Residence (Valley)

• Return to Kirasaki, then follow the valley path south.
• Enter the large two-story building and grab the third sword on the second floor.

Desert Oasis

• Use the Kirasaki runestone, then head southwest toward the oasis.
• Look for a small alcove near a group of Calamities; the last sword is hidden there.

5. Return and Complete the Quest

• Go back to the Sword Saint trainer in Naga-no Village.
• Turn in the four fragments. You’ll be teleported to a sparring arena.

6. Spar and Learn the Technique

• Sparring Requirements: Ensure you still have 60 Medium Mastery and Grade 2.
• Defeat or spar with the trainer. After the match, he’ll offer to teach you Sword Saint.
• Accept to permanently unlock the cursed technique and add its four skills to your skill menu.

After Unlock – Equipping Your Skills

1. Press M to open your skill tree.
