Anime Guardians Progression Guide, From Noob to Pro!
Getting started in Anime Guardians can feel overwhelming, especially when the game throws tons of systems, traits, events, and units at you. This guide breaks the whole journey down in a clean order so new players know exactly what to do from the first minute until you reach a strong end-game team. If you follow this progression step by step, you’ll level fast, unlock top units, and clear most content without trouble. Also check out our Anime Guardians codes for more rewards!
1. Start With Codes and First Summons

Your first move in Anime Guardians should always be redeeming all active codes from the official Discord or code lists online. Many codes give rerolls, gems, and currency for the current banner.
Right now, the One Punch Man banner is perfect for beginners because the pity is only 300. With the codes alone, you can reach pity three times and secure one of these exclusives:
- Genos
- Metalbat
- Sonic
Any of them is strong enough to carry your early progress.
What Not To Do Early
- Don’t sell your Legendaries
Keep Bulma for farming. She is an easy early farm unit. - Don’t chase the highest trait in the game
Just aim for a decent starting trait like Exodia on your main damage dealer.
Once you roll a good trait and secure your exclusive unit, you’re ready for the first real grind.
2. Early-Game Push: Chainsaw Man Easy Mode
Every player starts with Shigaruki Fighter, and together with Bulma and your exclusive unit, you can clear the easy version of the Chainsaw Man event.
Steps
- Place Bulma and auto-upgrade until she generates enough money.
- Place your main carry (Metalbat, Genos, or Sonic) and auto-upgrade them.
- Add your starter unit for extra help.
- Save a bit of yen since the Darkness Devil can spawn near the front.
- Once the final wave appears, use your active skill to clear everything.
Clearing this gives Chainsaw Man coins and mystic coins. These will be your early lifeline for rerolls, potions, food, and leveling items.
3. Open Capsules and Build Your First Real Carry
Use your Chainsaw Man coins for Hajun Capsules. These give:
- Exp items (Rainbow Potions)
- Trait rerolls
- Stat rerolls
- Food
- Chance to get Hajun
Hajun is one of the strongest units you can get early. With a few Rainbow Potions, you can instantly raise him to level 100. The moment you pull Hajun, your whole early-game changes, because he can solo almost everything.
4. Move to Higher Difficulties and Start Artifact Farming
Once Hajun and your exclusive unit are leveled:
- Push harder difficulties in Chainsaw Man.
- Farm cursed books and powerful artifacts.
- Build up large amounts of Chainsaw Man coins for more rolls.
Artifacts like Cursed Book remain useful far into end-game.
5. Steel Ball Run Progress: JoJo Units
Now you’re strong enough to tackle the Steel Ball Run (JoJo event). This event gives materials to craft:
- D4C
- Wonder of You
- Puucci
- Additional artifacts
These units are still some of the most valuable supports and damage dealers in the game. The gimmick uses a shop that boosts your damage, yen income, or slows enemies—use it every 5 waves.
Almost any upgraded Hajun can clear SBR without trouble. Just keep farming until you have all materials.
6. Get The Most Important Support: Robin
The next important goal is Robin from Mushroom Rush. This can take a little time because the drop rate is low. Robin is easily one of the best support units in any tower defense game.
Her main value:
Every unit placed after she is fully upgraded enters the field as max upgraded automatically.
This saves a massive amount of yen and makes every mode faster and smoother. Once you have Robin, your farming speed improves a lot.
7. Unlock Sid From Lawless City

Next, run Lawless City until you obtain Sid.
Then evolve him in Double Dungeon 2 by collecting his materials.
Sid (final form) becomes one of your main carries for a long time, especially for:
- Sukuna stages
- Chainsaw Man hard modes
- One Punch Man challenges
He nukes bosses and melts waves with steady DPS.
8. Build The Core Mid-Game Team
By now, your team should look something like this:
- Hajun
- Darkness Devil
- Sid (Evo)
- Robin
- Senku or Bulma
- Optional: AI Gunvil (great for fast DPS)
This setup clears nearly everything up through mid-game, including Gojo events, leveling stages, and most challenges.
9. Start Sukuna and Evolve Him
Next target is Sukuna, unlocked through Tower Adventures at Cursed Place stage 30.
Then farm the Gojo event for his evolution items.
A fully evolved Sukuna is one of the top units in the entire game. Replace older units with him once complete.
10. Fill Out the Final Team and Push End-Game
As you near end-game, chase:
- Full artifact setups (Divine Wrath on Cursed Book).
- Craft D4C, Wonder of You, and Puucci if you haven’t already.
- Improve traits with all the rerolls you earn.
Your late-game team should focus on a mix of:
- High burst
- Reliable AoE
- Permanent buffs
- Strong active skills
- Robin auto-upgrade synergy
At this point, you can clear nearly everything, grind world bosses, push higher modes, and build any unit you personally like.
Anime Guardians has a long progression path, but if you follow the steps in order—codes, Chainsaw Man farming, Hajun, Steel Ball Run, Robin, Sid, and finally Sukuna—you’ll never feel stuck. Each milestone stacks power quickly, and soon you’ll have a full roster that can handle every challenge the game throws at you. With the right units and the right farming order, going from noob to pro becomes a smooth climb with steady rewards on every step.
