Winning fights in Hooked is not only about landing good hooks. Your chosen skill also plays a big role in how you survive and eliminate opponents. Each player can equip one special ability, and that ability can completely change your strategy during a match.

Some skills focus on mobility, letting you escape danger or chase enemies faster. Others provide healing, defensive tools, or powerful attacks that can deal heavy damage. Because of this, choosing the right skill for your playstyle can make a major difference in PvP battles. Below is the complete list of skills in Hooked, how they work, and which ones are currently the most useful in matches.

How to Get Skills in Hooked

Skills are mainly obtained by opening Skill Crates. There are several ways to get these crates in the game. The most common option is buying Regular Skill Crates. These cost 1,500 Gold and contain random skills with standard drop chances.

Players can also purchase Premium Skill Crates for 250 Robux. These crates offer much better chances of receiving rare or epic abilities. Another way to obtain rewards is through the Wheel Spin system. Every ten minutes spent playing matches gives you one spin. The wheel can reward Skill Crates, Gold, or other items.

You can also redeem active game codes to receive free Gold. This Gold can then be used to buy regular crates in the lobby. Since skills are obtained randomly, it may take several crate openings before you get the exact ability you want.

Hooked Skill Tier List

Here is a general tier list based on usefulness, versatility, and impact in PvP fights.

S Tier (Best Skills)

These skills are very strong in most situations and can easily change the outcome of fights.

  • Black Hole – Strong area damage and enemy pull makes it very effective in fights.
  • Shadow Veil – Invisibility allows you to escape danger or set up surprise attacks.

A Tier (Very Strong)

These abilities are reliable and useful in many combat situations.

  • Bolt Dash – Quick movement with a short cooldown makes it great for mobility.
  • Meteor – Powerful attack that targets nearby enemies and deals strong damage.
  • Multi-Hook – Higher chance to catch enemies by firing multiple hooks at once.

B Tier (Solid Choices)

These skills are still useful but depend more on timing or playstyle.

  • Big Bomb – Good area damage but easier for enemies to avoid.
  • Golden Stance – Provides quick healing but lasts for a short time.

D Tier (Lowest Impact)

These skills are mostly basic abilities that offer limited advantages.

  • Dash – Simple movement ability that many players replace quickly.
  • Ink Bomb – Vision blocking effect is useful sometimes but rarely game-changing.

Complete Skill List in Hooked

Turns your character invisible for around ten seconds. Enemies cannot see you during this time.

Golden Stance (Uncommon)

Transforms your character into a golden form for 2.5 seconds while restoring 10 HP every half second.

Skills are a major part of the combat system in Hooked. The ability you equip can change how you approach fights, whether you prefer mobility, stealth, or direct damage. By opening crates, spinning the reward wheel, and collecting Gold through codes, players can slowly unlock stronger abilities. Once you obtain higher-tier skills like Black Hole or Shadow Veil, your chances of surviving intense PvP matches increase significantly.
