Some enemies in Sailor Piece are easy to farm, but others are designed to slow your progress and test your build. Shadow Soldiers fall into that category. They’re rare, extremely dangerous, and tied to important endgame rewards, which makes them something you can’t ignore if you plan to progress further. If you’ve been running dungeons and never seen one, that’s normal. Their spawn rate is very low, and without the right setup, you might be farming inefficiently. Here’s how to find them and actually survive the fight. Also check out our Sailor Piece Codes for more rewards!

How to Unlock Shadow Soldiers

Before you can even encounter Shadow Soldiers, you need access to Dungeon Mode. To unlock it:

  • Collect all Dungeon Pieces scattered around the map
  • Head to Dungeon Island
  • Talk to the Dungeon Master

Once that’s done, you’ll be able to enter dungeon runs.

How to Access Double Dungeons

Shadow Soldiers only appear in Double Dungeons, not regular ones. To enter:

  • Use a Dungeon Key
  • Open a Double Dungeon portal
  • Form a party (up to 4 players)
  • Vote for difficulty before starting

This is important because if you’re farming normal dungeons, you’ll never find Shadow Soldiers.

Shadow Soldier Spawn Rate

Even inside Double Dungeons, Shadow Soldiers are still very rare.

  • You might see only one across all 15 waves
  • Some runs may not spawn any at all

If you want better chances, difficulty matters a lot.

Higher difficulty = higher spawn rate

That’s why most players farm on Extreme difficulty, even though it’s much harder.

Best Difficulty to Farm Them

If your goal is efficiency, Extreme mode is the best option.

It increases the chance of Shadow Soldiers appearing, but there’s a trade-off:

  • Enemies deal much higher damage
  • Mistakes are punished quickly
  • Weak builds won’t survive long

Before jumping into Extreme, make sure your character is ready with:

  • Strong clans and passives
  • Good gear and stats
  • Proper race bonuses

How Strong Are Shadow Soldiers?

Shadow Soldiers are not just rare—they are one of the hardest enemies in the game.

  • Basic attacks deal 200,000+ damage
  • Skills hit even harder
  • They can wipe unprepared players instantly

If you’re undergeared or playing carelessly, you’ll likely get eliminated in seconds.

Best Way to Defeat Shadow Soldiers

To deal with them safely, you need both damage and control. One of the best tools is the Shadow Monarch Sword. Its X ability lets you:

  • Summon a demon
  • Push enemies back
  • Interrupt their attacks briefly

This small window can be enough to avoid getting one-shot and reposition yourself.

Aside from that, focus on:

  • Keeping distance when possible
  • Attacking in short bursts instead of overcommitting
  • Letting teammates share aggro if you’re in a group

Why You Should Farm Shadow Soldiers

Even though they’re hard to find and defeat, the rewards are worth it. They can drop:

  • Gems
  • Money
  • EXP
  • High-tier chests

These chests may contain:

  • Rerolls
  • Evolution materials
  • Other rare upgrade items

But the biggest reason to hunt them is progression.

Shadow Monarch Mastery Requirement

If you’re working on endgame content, this is where Shadow Soldiers become mandatory. The Shadow Monarch mastery questline requires you to:

  • Defeat 25 Shadow Soldiers

You don’t have to do this in one run, which makes things more manageable. Just keep farming Double Dungeons over time, and you’ll eventually complete it.

Shadow Soldiers are one of those enemies that test both patience and preparation. You won’t find them easily, and even when you do, they’re strong enough to end your run if you’re not ready. That said, they’re also one of the most rewarding targets in Sailor Piece. Whether you’re chasing better loot or trying to finish the Shadow Monarch progression, farming them is something every serious player will have to do sooner or later.
