Eminence in Shadow Update Lineage Piece Guide, How to Get Cid Kagenou!

The newest Eminence in Shadow update in Lineage Piece brings one of the strongest and smoothest weapons currently available in the game. CID KAGENOU, also known as Shadow, comes with flashy effects, massive damage, and one of the coolest move sets added so far. The grind can take a while, especially if you are starting from zero, but the overall process is actually pretty simple once you understand every step. Here is the full guide on how to unlock CID KAGENOU, Atomic, and the mastery skill in Lineage Piece.

How to Start the CID KAGENOU Questline

Before you can unlock Shadow, you first need to obtain the Stylish Bandit Beater. This item is required for the entire Eminence in Shadow progression.

The NPC for the Stylish Bandit Beater can be found on Starter Island. After talking to the NPC, you will begin a short questline that is required before accessing the Shadow content. Thankfully, the quests are pretty easy and can be finished quickly if you know where to go.

The first objective requires players to collect two Crowbars hidden around Starter Island. Both are easy to find once you explore the area carefully. After collecting them, the next step becomes much more grindy because you need to take a total of 5 million damage.

Fastest Way to Take 5 Million Damage

The quickest method for this challenge is heading over to the Scorched Ruins and crafting a Trial Key. Once inCide the trial, choose the Nightmare difficulty option. After entering, simply allow the enemies to attack you repeatedly until the damage requirement is complete.

Many players are speeding this process up by intentionally dying around wave two or wave three. Since the goal is only to receive damage, surviving longer is not necessary. This method saves a huge amount of time compared to regular grinding or boss farming.

After completing the damage challenge, you will finally unlock the ability to purchase the Stylish Bandit Beater.

Shadow Seller NPC Location

Once you equip the Stylish Bandit Beater, head over to Frost Island. This is where the Shadow Seller NPC is located. Talking to this NPC officially starts the CID KAGENOU questline.

The first mission is straightforward but time-consuming. You need to defeat 250 enemies while using the Stylish Bandit Beater. The kills only count if the weapon is equipped, so make sure you do not accidentally switch weapons while farming.

A good strategy is farming weaker mobs in crowded areas so you can clear enemies faster. Using mobility skills and large AOE attacks from your fruit or race can also speed things up a lot.

How to Complete the Cid Raid

The final quest requires players to complete the Cid Raid five times on Medium difficulty or higher. This is currently the biggest grind in the update. After finishing the Stylish Bandit Beater questline, Cid Keys can start dropping from enemies. These keys are used to enter the new dungeon raid. InCide the raid, there are 10 total waves along with two major bosses:

  • Alpha
  • Cid

The dungeon can become difficult during later waves because enemies start dealing much heavier damage. Bringing friends or party members is highly recommended if your build is not strong enough yet. The Cid boss also drops the materials needed to unlock Shadow.

CID KAGENOU Requirements

After farming the raid enough times, return to the Shadow Seller NPC. To purchase CID KAGENOU, you currently need:

  • 3 Core
  • 6 Fragments
  • 12 Orbs

These materials mainly come from the Cid Raid and boss drops, so expect some farming before completing the weapon.

Once everything is collected, you can finally unlock Atomic and gain access to the full CID KAGENOU moveset.

How to Unlock the R Move Mastery

After obtaining Shadow, there is another NPC used for unlocking the R move mastery skill. This special move adds even more power to the weapon and makes the build much stronger during raids and boss fights.

The NPC will show the exact requirements needed for the mastery upgrade. Most players will need additional materials and farming before fully maxing the weapon out.

Even without the mastery move, CID KAGENOU already performs extremely well thanks to its smooth combo potential and strong damage output.

Is CID KAGENOU Worth It?

Right now, CID KAGENOU feels like one of the strongest and most stylish weapons available in Lineage Piece. The animations are smooth, the effects look amazing, and the overall damage is extremely solid for both grinding and raids.

The update itself also adds a fun progression path instead of simply giving players another easy weapon unlock. Between the Cid Raid, material farming, and mastery progression, there is a lot to work toward if you enjoy long-term grinding content. If you are planning to farm the latest meta weapon in Lineage Piece, CID KAGENOU is definitely worth going for.
