The latest update in Type Soul introduced a brand-new Compensation Shop to help players recover value from content that was removed from the game. Inside this special shop, players can spend Compensation Tokens on useful rewards like Clan Rerolls, Skill Box Choosers, Soul Blessings, and several rare materials.

Many players know the shop exists, but finding it can be confusing if you are unfamiliar with the layout of Karakura Town. Here is a full guide explaining the exact location of the Compensation Shop, every item currently available, and how Compensation Tokens work.

Where to Find the Compensation Shop in Type Soul

The Compensation Shop is located in the southern part of Karakura Town. To reach it, start by crossing the large bridge that connects both sides of the town. Once you arrive on the opposite side, continue moving forward through the middle road until you reach the end of the street.

From there, turn left and head toward the basketball court area. Near the court, you will notice several benches lined up nearby. Sitting on one of these benches is an NPC named Machiru, who has noticeable blue hair. Interact with Machiru to open the Compensation Shop menu.

One easy way to confirm you are in the correct area is by checking for the Quest Board. The side containing the Compensation Shop does not have a Quest Board near the bridge entrance, while the opposite side does.

All Items Available in the Compensation Shop

The Compensation Shop includes many useful items for both new and experienced players. Some rewards are inexpensive rerolls, while others include rare accessories and upgrade materials. Here are all the currently available items and their token costs:

How to Get Compensation Tokens in Type Soul

Compensation Tokens are awarded to players who previously owned content that was removed from the game. The amount of compensation depends entirely on what items, skins, or systems you had before the update.

Players who owned rare or limited content usually received larger refunds.

Here is the current compensation list:

  • Devil-Trigger Dimensional Shard + 25 Compensation Tokens
  • Ancient Vastocar All ingredients refunded + 5 Soul Blessings
  • True Release 125 Compensation Tokens
  • Vows / Spooky Skins 8 Locked Element Rerolls, 8 Locked Weapon Rerolls, and 8 Locked Clan Rerolls for each removed item

Best Items to Buy First

If you are unsure what to spend your tokens on, Clan Rerolls and Skill Box Choosers are usually the safest early purchases because they directly improve progression and builds. Meanwhile, players looking for rare late-game materials may want to save tokens for items like:

  • True Hogyoku
  • Yhwach’s Blood
  • Bararaq Diadem
  • Black Sternritter Cloak

These items cost much more but can be extremely valuable depending on your build and progression stage. The new Compensation Shop gives players a solid way to recover value from removed content in Type Soul. While finding the shop can be a little confusing at first, the rewards inside are definitely worth checking out if you received Compensation Tokens after the update. Whether you want rerolls, rare crafting materials, or high-end accessories, the Compensation Shop has become one of the most useful places in the game for long-time players.
