Fisch Minor Update Guide – Megamouth Shark, Humpback Whale, Catch Flags & New Code
The newest minor update in Roblox Fisch adds several new events, quality-of-life changes, and another secret teaser that players are already trying to figure out. This update mainly focuses on ocean activities, especially the new Megamouth Shark event and the Humpback Whale migration system. On top of that, Catch Flags are finally back with a better system, and there is also a free redeem code players should claim before it expires. Here is everything added in the latest Fisch update and how you can take advantage of the new content.
How to Find the Megamouth Shark in Fisch
The biggest highlight of the update is the new Megamouth Shark event. This rare creature can now appear in the ocean during nighttime, but finding it is not easy because the event has a very low spawn chance.
Unlike aggressive sharks, the Megamouth Shark behaves differently. It slowly follows drifting plankton near the surface of the water. Players who want to trigger the event more consistently should use Krill bait because it increases the chance for the shark to appear.
However, catching it is not as simple as rushing toward it. The Megamouth Shark is extremely sensitive to movement. If players approach too quickly or create too much disturbance, the shark may swim away before they can catch it. The best strategy is to move slowly, avoid sudden turns, and carefully position your boat or submarine nearby. If the shark gets disturbed for too long, it disappears back into the ocean depths.
Because of how rare the event is, many players are already treating the Megamouth Shark as one of the hardest sea encounters currently available in Fisch.
New Humpback Whale Migration Event
Another major addition is the Humpback Whale migration event. Similar to Blue Whale events, players can encounter migrating Humpback Whales in the ocean, but these whales behave very differently.
Humpback Whales are much slower, rarer, and less predictable compared to Blue Whales. They are most commonly seen during Summer weather and clear skies, so players should pay attention to server conditions before heading out.
One important mechanic involves fishing near the whale itself. Doing this increases the chance for the whale to breach out of the water. When a breach happens, players gain a much higher chance of successfully catching it.
Unlike Blue Whales that usually move in straighter paths, Humpback Whales travel in curved and random directions. This makes tracking them more difficult, especially for players using slower boats. The update also added whale songs that echo across the ocean whenever a Humpback Whale is nearby, giving players another clue for locating them.
Catch Flags Finally Return
Catch Flags are officially back after being temporarily removed, and the system has been completely rebuilt.
Now, whenever players catch a fish with odds of 1/1000 or rarer, a Catch Flag appears at the exact location where the fish was obtained. These flags now properly display the real catch odds of the fish, making them more useful for tracking rare catches.
The update also introduced Global Catch Flags. If someone catches an extremely rare fish with odds of 1/100000 or higher, the flag becomes visible to everyone in the server. This gives rare catches much more attention and makes the hunt for ultra-rare fish even more exciting.
New Mystery NPC Near Moosewood Lighthouse
The update also teased something mysterious for future content. At night, players may notice a strange figure appearing near the Moosewood Lighthouse.
The developers did not fully explain who this NPC is, but the teaser message mentions that “someone is having trouble resting.” Many players believe this could be connected to an upcoming questline, ghost event, or future ocean-related update.
If you want to investigate the mystery yourself, make sure to visit the lighthouse area during nighttime.
Fisch Update Buffs and Quality-of-Life Changes
Besides the new events, the developers also added several balance changes and improvements across the game. Here are some of the biggest adjustments from the update:

These changes may not look huge individually, but together they improve overall gameplay, especially for players spending long hours fishing or exploring the ocean.
Fisch New Redeem Code
Players can also claim a brand-new redeem code from this update:
- Code:
HumpbackAndMegamouth
Make sure to redeem it quickly before it expires. Like most Fisch codes, it may only stay active for a limited time.
Shady Bazaar Coming Soon
At the end of the update notes, the developers also teased that the Shady Bazaar will finally become reachable next week. There are still very few details about this area, but many players expect new merchants, rare items, or hidden quests once it officially opens.
With the Megamouth Shark, Humpback Whale migration, and the return of Catch Flags, this minor Fisch update adds a lot more activity to ocean exploration. Players hunting rare encounters now have even more reasons to stay active during nighttime and special weather conditions.
