The new mastery system in Sailor Piece has become one of the biggest progression features in the game. Besides giving huge stat boosts, mastery also adds extra passive effects that can significantly increase farming speed, boss damage, and overall PvE performance.
Because of how strong the bonuses are, many players are now trying to rush Mastery 500 as quickly as possible. However, leveling mastery normally can take a very long time if you do not use the right farming method. If you are looking for the fastest way to level mastery in Sailor Piece, here is a full guide explaining how the system works, the best farming location, and the easiest method currently available.

How the Mastery System Works
Players can unlock the mastery menu in two different ways. The first method is by visiting the Mastery NPC located on Starter Island in Sea 2. The second method is much easier because you can also access mastery directly from your inventory using the new mastery button.
One important thing to understand is that mastery levels are separate for every weapon and melee style. This means mastery is not shared across your account. Every weapon, sword, fruit, or fighting style must be leveled individually.
Each mastery level requires 25 enemy kills. Here are the important mastery details:
- Max Mastery Level: 500
- Total Kills Needed: 12,500
- Every level requires 25 kills
Although the grind sounds massive, the rewards are extremely strong once mastery levels increase.
Mastery Rewards in Sailor Piece
As you continue leveling mastery in Sailor Piece, your weapon or melee gains multiple permanent buffs. Some of the main bonuses include:
- Increased damage
- Increased luck
- Higher critical hit chance
- Increased critical damage
Once a weapon reaches Mastery 500, players unlock a passive effect with a 25% chance to deal 1.5x extra damage.
Fully maxed mastery also gives around:
- +30% Damage
- +30% Luck
- Bonus Crit Chance
- +25% Crit Damage
Even lower mastery levels already give useful buffs. For example, Mastery Level 25 already provides extra luck, making the system valuable even before reaching max level.
Normal Mastery Farming Method
The most basic farming method is simply defeating enemies repeatedly using the weapon or melee you want to level. The stronger your build is, the faster you can clear enemy groups and gain mastery levels. Players using strong farming weapons can level fairly quickly with this method alone.
Some players tested weapons like Dual Wielder and managed to gain around 10 mastery levels in roughly five minutes while farming efficiently. While this method works well for powerful weapons, weaker specs usually struggle because they clear enemies too slowly.
Best Fast Mastery Farm Method
Currently, the fastest mastery leveling strategy uses Quake Fruit together with weapon swapping. This method is considered the best because the Quake Fruit handles all the actual farming damage while the mastery gets transferred to another weapon or melee.
How to Do the Quake Mastery Method
First, go to Starter Island in Sea 2.
Find the area positioned between two enemy groups. After standing in the middle, equip Quake Fruit and use the Sea Skill to hit both enemy groups at once.
Immediately after activating the skill, quickly switch to the weapon or melee you want to level mastery on.
If done correctly, all enemy kills from the Quake attack will count toward the mastery of the weapon you switched to instead of Quake itself.
This is why the method is extremely powerful.
You are basically leveling weak weapons without needing to actually fight using those weak weapons.
Why This Method Is So Good
The biggest advantage of this strategy is efficiency. Instead of slowly farming enemies with weaker weapons, you let one of the strongest farming fruits in the game clear enemies instantly while your target weapon receives the mastery progress. This method also works especially well because:
- You farm two enemy groups simultaneously
- Quake Fruit has massive AoE damage
- Weak specs level much faster
- Enemy clearing speed becomes far more consistent
For players focusing purely on mastery grinding, this is currently one of the fastest methods available.
Things That Do NOT Give Mastery
Not all game modes provide mastery progression. Based on player testing, the following modes currently do not reward mastery experience:
- Tower Mode
- Boss Rush
- Crystal Defense
Because of this, normal enemy farming remains the best option for mastery grinding.
Is the 2x Mastery Gamepass Worth It?
Sailor Piece also added a 2x Mastery Gamepass for players who want to speed up progression even further. The gamepass currently costs 699 Robux and doubles mastery gains, making the grind much shorter overall. For players planning to max multiple weapons or melee styles, the boost can save a huge amount of time in the long run.
The mastery system is currently one of the most important progression features in Sailor Piece because the buffs become incredibly strong at higher levels. Although reaching Mastery 500 normally requires 12,500 kills, the Quake Fruit farming strategy makes the process significantly faster and easier compared to traditional grinding. If your goal is maximizing damage, luck, and farming efficiency in the latest update, focusing on mastery progression is definitely worth the time investment.
