Wizard Alchemy finally received a massive update with the release of the second world, Sea of Oblivion. The update adds new enemies, bosses, materials, wands, spells, quests, and farming locations. There are also several useful tricks players are already using to farm materials faster, including boss cheese methods and AFK grinding spots. If you are just entering the new area or trying to figure out the current meta, this guide covers everything you need to know about the latest Wizard Alchemy update.
How to Unlock the Second World
To access Sea of Oblivion, you first need at least 3,000 Gold. After that, head near the portal area close to spawn. You will find a broom vendor nearby. Buy the basic broom and use it to fly across to the new island. The broom movement is slow at first, but it is the only way to reach the second world early on. Once you arrive in Sea of Oblivion, most of the shops are similar to the starter island, though there are several new items and quests available.
New Materials and Quests
The update adds new crafting materials including:
- Lava Rock
- Fern
There are also multiple new quests spread around the map. Some quests require defeating Orc enemies, while others ask you to gather materials like Ferns.
One important quest involves defeating the Mutant Iron Axe Orc, which can be found on a smaller area near the left side of the island.
These quests are currently one of the better ways to farm resources and level up quickly.
Best Wand and Spell Meta Right Now
The current meta heavily focuses on cooldown reduction. Fast spell spam is much stronger than slow heavy attacks in most situations.
Ice Star Wand Build
Right now, many players still consider the Ice Star Wand combined with Ice Thorns to be one of the best builds in the game. Ice Thorns remains extremely strong because it has one of the shortest cooldowns available on the starter island.
Fast cooldowns allow players to farm mobs much more efficiently and safely.
Coreflame Wand
The new Coreflame Wand feels like a combination of Ember and Ice Star. It has decent overall stats, but many players still prefer pure cooldown-focused setups for farming efficiency.
Even so, Coreflame can still work well if you want balanced offensive gameplay.
Twin Current and Thunder Ball
In Sea of Oblivion, Twin Current has become very popular for high-level farming because it grants:
- +50% Attack for 5 seconds
This buff can help players one-shot enemies if their gear is strong enough.
Meanwhile, Thunder Ball is becoming the new version of Ice Thorns for the second world because it has one of the lowest cooldowns among the newer spells.
Best Chest Locations in Sea of Oblivion
The new update adds many chest spawns around the map, and these are currently one of the best ways to get Epic and Legendary materials.
Some important chest spots include:
- Near waterfalls
- Inside hidden cave areas
- Around lava zones
- On top of volcano platforms
- Near bridges and palm trees
- Inside the enchanted area
One of the best secret chest spots is the small island located between spawn and Dawn Island. This location can spawn up to four magic chests at once, and some of them can even appear as Tier 3 chests with yellow rune effects.
These higher-tier chests have much better rewards, making the area worth checking regularly.
Best AFK Farming Spots
Sea of Oblivion has several useful AFK farming spots for players who want easier grinding.
Ruined House Roof Spot
New players can safely farm Sword Orcs by standing on top of the ruined house roof. The enemies struggle to hit you properly from there, making it much safer than direct combat.
If you are skilled at perfectly timing Magic Shield parries, you can also safely deal with Bow Orcs. Their attack timing is very similar to the Dwarf Orc enemies from the first island.
Perfect parries completely block incoming damage, which makes difficult enemies much easier to handle.
Mutated Axe Orc Spot
The Mutated Axe Orc area also has a semi-AFK farming trick. Players can stand on higher terrain to attack safely while avoiding most direct hits.
The method works, although it can be slow because the enemy has very high HP.
Dwarf King Cheese Method
One of the biggest discoveries from the update is a new cheese spot for the Dwarf King boss.
Using the broom, players can land on a small ledge located on the right wall inside the boss chamber. From there, the boss struggles to attack properly.
However, the spot is slightly tilted downward, so some spells can accidentally knock you into the boss arena if you are not careful.
Even though the positioning is awkward, it currently works as one of the easiest ways to farm the boss safely.
Is Enchanting Worth It?
The new enchantment area lets players use enchantment stones on weapons, but most players currently recommend saving resources until you get the strongest weapons available.
Enchanting weaker weapons is usually considered a waste because materials are difficult to farm, especially Legendary ones.
Best Way to Farm Epic and Legendary Materials
Right now, the best farming method is:
- Boss quests
- Mutated enemies
- High-tier chests
Regular enemies in Sea of Oblivion mostly drop weaker Rare materials, which makes them less efficient for endgame farming.
Because of this, many players focus almost entirely on bosses and mutated mobs for progression.
The Wizard Alchemy update adds a lot of new content, but it also changes the overall farming meta quite a bit. Cooldown builds remain extremely strong, while new spells like Thunder Ball are quickly becoming favorites for Sea of Oblivion grinding.
The update also introduces several useful farming tricks, including chest routes, AFK spots, and boss cheese methods that make progression much easier.
If you are planning to grind Legendary materials or stronger potions, focusing on mutated mobs and bosses is currently the best strategy. Meanwhile, players who want safer progression should take advantage of the roof spots and Dwarf King glitch locations while they still work.
