The latest Azure Latch update introduces two highly anticipated Styles, Otoya and Karasu. Inspired by their Blue Lock counterparts, both Styles bring unique abilities that can dramatically change how you play matches. Otoya focuses on stealth, movement, and quick offensive plays, while Karasu specializes in ball control, interceptions, and creating scoring opportunities for teammates. If you’re planning to unlock either of these powerful Styles, here’s everything you need to know about obtaining them and mastering their abilities.
How to Unlock Otoya and Karasu in Azure Latch
To get Otoya and Karasu, players must use the game’s Style Spin system. Like most gacha mechanics, the Style you receive depends entirely on luck, with rarer Styles having lower drop rates.
There are two types of spins available:
- Normal Spin – Costs 250 Style Coins
- Lucky Spin – Costs 15,000 Style Coins
Lucky Spins offer significantly better odds of obtaining rare Styles, making them the preferred option if you’re targeting Otoya or Karasu specifically. To access Style Spins, open the Menu button located at the bottom of your screen and navigate to the Style Spins section.
How to Earn Style Coins Fast
Since Style Spins require Style Coins, you’ll need a steady supply of the currency to increase your chances of unlocking these new Styles.
Play Matches Regularly
The easiest way to earn Style Coins is by completing matches. Your rewards are based on your overall performance during the game, so contributing to your team can help maximize earnings.
Weekend events are especially valuable because Azure Latch often activates a 1.5x currency bonus, allowing players to accumulate coins much faster.
Complete NPC Quests
Before each match, you’ll find several NPCs in the locker room area offering quests. Most tasks involve simple gameplay objectives such as:
- Passing the ball
- Dribbling opponents
- Taking shots
- Participating in matches
These missions are beginner-friendly and provide additional Style Coins upon completion.
Finish Daily Missions
You can also earn extra rewards through the Rewards tab. Daily quests refresh regularly and provide another reliable source of Style Coins.
Redeem Free Codes
Azure Latch frequently releases redeemable codes that reward players with free currency and other bonuses. These codes can be redeemed through the Rewards menu. Keep in mind that you must join the game’s Roblox group before using most codes.
Complete Otoya Style Showcase
Otoya is designed for players who enjoy quick movement, stealth mechanics, and off-the-ball plays. His kit allows him to slip past defenders and create dangerous scoring opportunities.
- Kusarigana Slash This ability can be activated while off the ball and has two stages. The first activation launches Otoya forward in a quick dash before transitioning into a kick that attempts to steal the ball. Activating it again during the dash immediately skips to the kick portion, allowing for faster reactions.
- Stealthy Steps When close to opponents, Otoya can weave through up to three players in a zigzag pattern while attempting to steal possession. Players can reactivate the skill early to immediately perform the steal while maintaining momentum.
- Tiki Taka Style This move has different effects depending on whether Otoya has possession. With the ball, he performs a curved pass to a teammate. Without the ball, he dashes toward loose balls and jumps to intercept them. If successful, he automatically passes to the nearest teammate.
- Shuriken Shot A straightforward shooting move that becomes much stronger with proper timing. Press the skill again as the shot is released to gain a power boost, increasing the chance of scoring.
- Shadow Step Shadow Step works both on and off the ball. When used near an opponent while carrying the ball, Otoya instantly slips past the defender and briefly stuns them. This makes it an excellent tool for creating space in one-on-one situations.
- Center on the World This is Otoya’s Awakening ability. When the ball is airborne, Otoya leaps high into the air and unleashes a powerful finishing shot aimed directly at the goal. It is one of his strongest offensive moves and can quickly turn a scoring opportunity into a goal.
- Invisibility One of Otoya’s most unique abilities. Pressing the T key while off the ball makes Otoya invisible. However, the effect immediately ends if he moves or gains possession of the ball, making it a situational tool for positioning and surprise plays.
Complete Karasu Style Showcase
Karasu focuses on tactical gameplay, ball control, interceptions, and setting up teammates. His abilities make him a strong option for players who enjoy controlling the flow of the match.
- Corvine Feint This dribbling move begins with a feint toward an opponent before transitioning into a dash. If Karasu collides with an opponent during the dash, he automatically performs an additional dash, allowing him to cover more distance and evade defenders.
- Raven Delay Raven Delay is a passing skill that becomes significantly stronger after Karasu steals the ball from an opponent. The move gains increased speed and a faster windup, making it ideal for launching counterattacks. It also features a short 0.15-second parry window. Successfully timing the parry results in an even faster and lower pass toward the intended target.
- Dive-Bomb Assault Karasu’s primary shooting move. The shot curves from right to left and can be adjusted using the camera, giving players more control over shot placement and angles.
- Silent StealThis ability functions as both a trap and a stealing tool. Opponents affected by Silent Steal can lose possession if they touch the ball. It also works against players already holding the ball. During aerial battles, Karasu does not instantly steal possession but instead redirects the ball forward with a header, allowing him to contest for control.
- New Goal Method Karasu’s Awakening ability dramatically improves his field awareness. When activated, he gains a complete overview of the attacking half of the field. Opponents appear as red markers, while teammates can be identified through their Style icons.
The player can manually select a teammate to receive the ball or allow the game to choose one automatically. Karasu then delivers a powerful direct pass. Once the teammate receives possession, they gain temporary access to a one-time ultimate shot, creating a dangerous scoring opportunity for the entire team.
Which Style Is Better?
Otoya is ideal for players who prefer aggressive attacking, stealth-based movement, and creating scoring chances through mobility and surprise. His abilities excel at breaking through defenses and finishing plays. Karasu, on the other hand, is better suited for players who enjoy controlling possession, disrupting opponents, and supporting teammates with powerful passing abilities and tactical awareness.
Both Styles are among the strongest additions in the latest Azure Latch update, making either one a valuable target when spending your Style Spins. If you enjoy scoring goals yourself, Otoya may be the better choice. If you prefer playmaking and controlling the pace of the match, Karasu is likely the stronger option.
