How to Craft Sanrei Glove in VV Ultimatum Guide
The Sanrei Glove is one of the most important items for Quincy players in VV Ultimatum. Without it, you won’t be able to continue your racial progression and eventually unlock your Schrift. While getting the glove isn’t extremely difficult, collecting all the required materials can take some time, especially if you’re unlucky with certain drops. If you’re wondering where to find the materials and how to craft the Sanrei Glove, this guide covers everything you need to know.
How to Unlock the Sanrei Glove Quest
Before you can craft the Sanrei Glove, you must progress through the Quincy storyline. Keep completing missions given by your Lieutenant by pressing the L key. As you continue leveling and reach the Arctic Plains area, your Lieutenant will eventually mention an ancient Quincy artifact known as the Sanrei Glove.
Once this quest appears, you’ll be instructed to travel to Wanderer’s Reach and speak with a special NPC located near the tallest tower. Make sure you bring at least 400 Cash, as you’ll need it to obtain the Sanrei Glove schematic. After receiving the blueprint, you can start gathering crafting materials.
Sanrei Glove Crafting Materials

To craft the Sanrei Glove, you’ll need the following items:
- Strange Essence x1
- Frost Alloy x1
- Broken Quincy Medallion x1
The first two materials are relatively easy to farm, while the Broken Quincy Medallion is usually the hardest part of the entire process.
How to Get Strange Essence
Strange Essence drops from special blue-colored Hollow enemies. These enemies can appear in several locations, including:
- Near the waterfall close to the starting area
- Around Arctic Plains
- Near the Air Walk quest location
The waterfall area is often considered the best farming spot because special Hollows regularly spawn there. Defeat them until the Strange Essence drops.
Fortunately, this material usually doesn’t take long to obtain.
How to Get Frost Alloy
Frost Alloy is a crafted material that requires three separate components:
- Frost Leavian Shard
- Great Soul Essence
- Spirit Alloy
Frost Leavian Shard
This item drops from Rogue Quincy enemies found throughout Arctic Plains.
You’ll recognize them by:
- Red clothing
- Red hats
- Bow weapons
The best place to farm these enemies is near the Air Walk tower, where they spawn frequently.
Great Soul Essence
Great Soul Essence is crafted by combining:
- 5 Soul Essences
Soul Essences can be obtained by defeating Hollow enemies throughout the game. If you’re already leveling in Arctic Plains or Soul Society Outskirts, you’ll likely collect these naturally.
Spirit Alloy
Spirit Alloy can be purchased from merchants in Arctic Town.
Some players choose to craft it instead, but buying it is usually the fastest method if you have enough money.
After collecting all three materials, craft them together to create Frost Alloy.
How to Get a Broken Quincy Medallion
The Broken Quincy Medallion is the rarest material required for the Sanrei Glove. There are currently two known ways to obtain it.
1. Defeat the Rogue Quincy Commander
The first method is finding and defeating the Rogue Quincy Commander. This boss patrols Arctic Plains and reportedly spawns near the entrance gate before moving around the map. When defeated, the commander guarantees a Broken Quincy Medallion drop. The downside is that the boss spawn can be difficult to find, and many players report waiting a long time before seeing it appear.
2. Farm Rogue Quincy Archers
The second method is farming regular Rogue Quincy enemies throughout Arctic Plains. Although these enemies can drop the Broken Quincy Medallion, the drop rate appears to be extremely low. Some players spend hours farming without seeing a single drop. Because of this, many players choose to trade with others rather than relying entirely on luck.
Crafting the Sanrei Glove
Once you’ve collected:
- Strange Essence
- Frost Alloy
- Broken Quincy Medallion
Open the crafting menu and combine the materials to create the Sanrei Glove.
After crafting it, equip the glove and begin the next phase of Quincy progression.
The Sanrei Glove allows you to meditate and train your Quincy powers, eventually leading to Letzt Stil and, later, your Schrift abilities.
What Happens After Crafting the Sanrei Glove?
Crafting the glove is only the beginning.
After equipping it, you’ll need to:
- Continue completing Lieutenant missions
- Meditate using the glove
- Progress through Arctic Plains
- Improve your Reishi control
- Unlock Letzt Stil
Eventually, your Lieutenant will guide you toward the final stages of Quincy progression, which ultimately leads to unlocking your Schrift.
The Sanrei Glove is one of the most important items for Quincy players in VV Ultimatum. While Strange Essence and Frost Alloy are fairly easy to obtain, the Broken Quincy Medallion can become a major grind depending on your luck.
If you’re aiming to unlock your Schrift as quickly as possible, start collecting Sanrei Glove materials as soon as you reach Arctic Plains. Having the materials ready early can save you a lot of time later and help you move through the Quincy progression much faster.
