Slap Battles Update Guide, How to Get Thumbtack Glove, Gummy Mastery, and Changes

Slap Battles has received another update, bringing a brand-new glove, a new mastery upgrade for Gummy Glove, balance adjustments, and some game mode changes. If you’re wondering how to unlock the new Thumbtack Glove and what was added in the latest patch, here’s everything you need to know.

How to Get the Thumbtack Glove in Slap Battles

The newest glove added to the game is the Thumbtack Glove. Players can unlock it by reaching the required amount of slaps.

  • 18,250 Slaps

Thumbtack Glove Stats

  • Power: 50
  • Speed: 16
  • Ability: Sharp Pin

Compared to some other gloves, Thumbtack doesn’t require an extremely high number of slaps, making it fairly accessible for regular players.

Thumbtack Glove Ability Explained

The Thumbtack Glove comes with the Sharp Pin ability. Activating it drops a pin onto the ground. Players who step on the pin can be damaged or knocked away, allowing you to set traps during battles. The glove also lets players create multiple pins, making it useful for controlling areas and surprising opponents. While it may not be the strongest glove in terms of raw power, it can be effective when used strategically.

New Gummy Glove Mastery

This update also introduced a new mastery path for the Gummy Glove. To unlock it, players must complete the following objectives:

  • Attach 700 gummies to other players.
  • Defeat 125 players using gummies.
  • Attach three or more gummies to players 100 times.

Completing these challenges unlocks Gummy Overload.

Gummy Overload Ability

The mastery adds several new features:

  • Press E to inflate gummies.
  • Inflated gummies can be slapped to trigger explosions.
  • Access to Gummy Mines for additional utility.

Players who enjoy using the Gummy Glove now have more offensive options and new ways to eliminate enemies.

Slap Trading Game Mode Removed

One of the bigger changes in this update is the removal of the slap trading game mode. The developers have disabled slap trading, meaning players can no longer farm slaps through that mode. Players will need to earn slaps through regular gameplay instead.

Balance Changes and Fixes

The update also included several adjustments and bug fixes.

Jockey Changes

The developers removed the lingering hitbox effect from Jockey again. This should make encounters involving the glove feel more consistent and fair. Additional fixes and improvements were also added to improve overall gameplay stability.

The latest Slap Battles update adds another unique glove while expanding the Gummy Glove with a brand-new mastery system. Thumbtack offers an interesting trap-based playstyle, while Gummy users now have even more ways to defeat opponents. Combined with balance changes and new codes, this update gives players plenty of reasons to jump back into the arena and start collecting more slaps.
