Haze Piece All Race Guide – Every Race, Race V2 Buffs & How to Unlock Them
Your race is one of the most important parts of your character in Haze Piece. Each race comes with unique passive abilities that can improve movement, survivability, stamina, or combat performance. While every race is useful in its own way, some are better suited for PvP, while others make farming and exploration much easier.
As you progress through the game, you’ll also gain access to Race V2, an upgraded version of your current race. These upgrades provide stronger bonuses and even unlock brand-new abilities for certain races. Here’s everything you need to know about every race in Haze Piece, including their buffs and how to obtain Race V2.
How Races Work in Haze Piece
When you first create your character, the game randomly assigns you a Race V1. Each race has its own passive effect that remains active while you play. These passives do not require activation and can benefit you during combat, traveling, or exploring the world.
Once you reach the late game, you’ll be able to complete a special questline to evolve your current race into Race V2, giving you even stronger passive bonuses.
Human Race
The Human race focuses on movement speed, especially when your health gets low.
Human Race V1
- Gain 25% increased walking speed when your HP falls below 70%.
Human Race V2
- Gain 50% increased walking speed when your HP is below 70%.
- Receive one extra Observation dodge.
This race is an excellent option for players who like fast movement during battles and want additional survivability in PvP.
Beastborne Race
Beastborne is built around mobility and stamina, making it a great choice for players who constantly dash and use abilities.
Beastborne V1
- 20% increased walking speed.
- 5% additional stamina.
Beastborne V2
- 50% increased walking speed.
- 10% additional stamina.
If you prefer moving quickly across islands while maintaining plenty of stamina for combat, Beastborne is a reliable pick.
Skyborne Race
Skyborne specializes in aerial movement and mobility.
Skyborne V1
- Your first Skywalk receives a 50% power boost.
Skyborne V2
- Unlock Glide by holding the jump button, allowing you to descend twice as slowly.
- Your first Skywalk becomes twice as powerful.
Skyborne is ideal for players who spend a lot of time traveling or fighting enemies in areas that require vertical movement.
Fishborne Race
Fishborne is the best race for water exploration and removes many of the drawbacks normally associated with swimming.
Fishborne V1
- Swim 50% faster.
Fishborne V2
- Swim speed is doubled.
- Gain double walking speed for four seconds after leaving the water.
- Devil Fruit users become immune to water damage.
Fishborne is particularly valuable for players who frequently travel between islands or farm Sea Events.
Demon Race
The Demon race focuses on sustain by restoring health while attacking enemies.
Demon V1
- Gain 2.5% Life Steal.
Demon V2
- Increase Life Steal to 3%.
- Dashing has a 10% chance to create a Hellfire Circle that damages nearby enemies.
This race performs well in both PvE and PvP thanks to its extra healing and offensive ability.
Dragonborne Race
Dragonborne is a balanced race that improves both durability and movement.
Dragonborne V1
- 10% more maximum Health.
- 10% increased Health Regeneration.
- 25% stronger first Skywalk.
Dragonborne V2
- 10% additional Health.
- Unlock the Glide ability, allowing you to fall much slower while airborne.
Dragonborne is one of the better all-around races because it provides extra survivability while also improving mobility.
D. Clan Race
The D. Clan race offers balanced stat increases while enhancing Conqueror’s Haki.
D. Clan V1
- 5% more Health.
- 5% more Stamina.
- Unlock Conqueror’s ability, which normally costs 250 stamina.
D. Clan V2
- 10% more Health.
- 10% more Stamina.
- Reduce Conqueror’s stamina cost by 50, lowering it to 200 stamina.
Players who frequently use Conqueror’s abilities will get the most value from this race.
How to Unlock Race V2 in Haze Piece
Before you can upgrade your race, you must first reach Level 2200. Once you meet the level requirement, visit the Race Engineer NPC to begin the Race V2 questline.
You must complete the following objectives:
- Defeat one Sea Beast.
- Collect 50 Chests around the map.
- Defeat the Zenith Boss.
After finishing every quest, return to the Race Engineer and pay:
- 1,000,000 Beli
- 100 Gems
Your current race will then be upgraded to Race V2. If you switch to another race later, you can repeat the same questline to unlock that race’s V2 version as well.
Which Race Is the Best in Haze Piece?
There isn’t a single race that is perfect for every player, since each one offers different strengths.
- Dragonborne is one of the best overall choices thanks to its bonus Health and mobility.
- D. Clan is excellent if you rely on Conqueror’s abilities during combat.
- Fishborne is the top option for sea exploration and water-based content.
- Demon works well for players who want passive healing while fighting.
- Skyborne is ideal for traveling and aerial movement.
- Beastborne and Human are great for players who value movement speed and fast-paced combat.
Races provide valuable passive bonuses that can make a noticeable difference throughout your Haze Piece journey. While every Race V1 offers useful perks, upgrading to Race V2 unlocks stronger effects and, in some cases, entirely new abilities that improve combat and exploration. If you’ve reached Level 2200, completing the Race V2 quest should be one of your top priorities, especially if you want to maximize your character’s potential in both PvE and PvP.
