Getting stronger in Haze Seas takes more than simply finding a rare Devil Fruit or equipping a better weapon. As you level up, you’ll unlock powerful abilities that improve your damage, mobility, and survivability. From Haki upgrades and movement skills to fighting styles and Fruit awakenings, every trainer plays an important role in helping your character become stronger.

Some abilities can be purchased early with Beli, while others require high levels, Gems, rare materials, or long quests. This guide covers every important skill trainer in Haze Seas, including their locations, requirements, and the rewards you receive after unlocking each ability.

Devil Fruit Awakening (Poneglyph)

Devil Fruit Awakening is one of the biggest power upgrades available in Haze Seas. Awakening strengthens certain Fruits by unlocking new abilities or enhancing existing ones, making them much stronger for both grinding and PvP. Before you can awaken any Fruit, you’ll first need to increase its mastery and collect a special material dropped by specific bosses.

Before visiting the Poneglyph, make sure you have:

  • 300 Fruit Mastery
  • The required awakening material for your Fruit

Since every awakening item comes from a different boss, expect to spend some time farming difficult enemies.

  • Gear 4 Haki Book (Gear 4 Boss – Sea 1)
  • Gear 5 Drums of Liberation (Dragon Boss – Sea 2)
  • Electricity Raijin Core (Raijin Boss – Sea 3)
  • Dragon Hybrid Dragon’s Heart (Hybrid Boss – Sea 3)
  • Venom Hydra Venom Core (2.5% drop from Venom Boss – Sea 2)

More Fruit awakenings are expected to arrive in future game updates.

Armament Haki Evolution Guide

Armament Haki, also called Buso Haki, increases the damage dealt by swords and fighting styles. Unlike Devil Fruits, Fruit skills do not receive extra damage from Armament Haki, making this upgrade especially valuable for melee and sword-focused players. The only way to level Armament Haki is by attacking enemies while the ability is activated.

  • Level 1 +2.5% Damage Level 350 and 100,000 Beli
  • Level 2 +5% Damage 5,000 Haki attacks
  • Level 3 +7.5% Damage 20,000 Haki attacks
  • Level 4 +10% Damage 50,000 Haki attacks
  • Level 5 +15% Damage and +10% Damage Resistance 100,000 attacks plus special quest

After reaching 100,000 successful Haki attacks, you’ll receive one final challenge. Requirements include:

  • Take 1,000 hits from enemies
  • Return to the Armament NPC
  • Pay 200 Gems

Completing these objectives unlocks the final evolution.

Armament Haki Titles

  • Ironfist – Unlock Armament Haki Level 1
  • Void-Forged Arms – Reach Armament Haki Level 5

Observation Haki Evolution Guide

Observation Haki focuses on survival instead of damage. Rather than increasing your attack power, it automatically dodges incoming attacks, making difficult boss fights much easier. Experience is earned every time Observation Haki successfully avoids an attack.

  • Level 1 3 Unlock Observation Haki
  • Level 2 4 100 dodges
  • Level 3 5 500 dodges
  • Level 4 6 2,000 dodges
  • Level 5 7 3,000 dodges
  • Level 6 8 4,000 dodges and quest

Once you’ve reached 4,000 successful dodges, travel to the Observation Expert in Sea 2 and complete the following tasks:

  • Defeat 5 players
  • Defeat 10 different Sea 2 island bosses
  • Pay 10,000,000 Beli

After completing the quest, Observation Haki reaches its maximum level.

Observation Haki Level 6 Rewards

Level 6 provides several useful bonuses:

  • 8 automatic dodges
  • Detect players from a much longer distance
  • View nearby players’ Health, Stamina, Level, Fruit, Sword, and Fighting Style

These upgrades are especially useful for PvP and hunting other players.

Buso Haki

Buso Haki becomes increasingly important as you progress through stronger islands. Many enemies with elemental abilities cannot be damaged normally, making Buso Haki almost mandatory during later stages of the game.

Combined with higher Armament Haki levels, Buso Haki greatly improves your damage output against bosses and players alike.

Observation Haki

Observation Haki is one of the strongest defensive abilities available. Every upgrade increases the number of automatic dodges before entering cooldown, helping you survive difficult encounters without relying entirely on healing items.

At higher levels, it also provides valuable player detection features, making it much easier to track opponents across the map.

Black Leg Fighting Style

Black Leg is an excellent fighting style for beginners who prefer melee combat. It focuses on quick kick-based attacks with reliable damage, making it useful throughout the early and mid-game.

  • Carol NPC
  • Udon Prison (Sea 2)

Gear 5 Skill Trainer

After unlocking both Gear 2 and Gear 4, Gum Fruit users can begin learning Gear 5 abilities. Unlike previous upgrades, every Gear 5 skill must be purchased individually.

  • Incurr NPC
  • Floating Island near Dragon Island

Requirements Per Skill

  • Level 3000
  • Gear 2 unlocked
  • Gear 4 unlocked
  • 500,000 Beli
  • 100 Gems

Each purchase unlocks one Gear 5 skill, so you’ll need multiple visits if you want to learn every available move.

Every trainer in Haze Seas offers an important upgrade that helps your character become stronger throughout the game. Early purchases like Sky Walk, Flash Step, and Black Leg make leveling much smoother, while late-game upgrades such as Devil Fruit Awakenings, Armament Haki Level 5, Observation Haki Level 6, and Gear 5 provide major improvements for difficult bosses and PvP.

As you unlock new islands and seas, revisit each trainer whenever you meet the requirements. Collecting every movement skill, Haki upgrade, fighting style, and awakening will give your character the tools needed to handle every challenge Haze Seas has to offer.
