Catch and Tame Mad Scientist Update Guide – Laboratory, New Divines, Pets & Rewards

Unlike previous updates, this one focuses on sneaking through a dangerous laboratory while avoiding a roaming Mad Scientist. How to Enter the Laboratory

The Laboratory can be found on Tropical Island, near the entrance to the Backrooms. Unlike the Backrooms, you don’t need any special tickets to enter. Simply travel to Tropical Island and walk into the Laboratory entrance whenever you want to start collecting pets.

Before heading inside, don’t forget to purchase the available Lab Upgrades. These upgrades improve your performance during Laboratory runs and make escaping much easier. Inside the Laboratory, your goal is simple:

The biggest threat is the Mad Scientist, who constantly patrols the area. If he catches you before you leave, you’ll lose every pet you’re carrying. There are also hazardous slime puddles scattered throughout the Laboratory. Walking into one has the same result—you’ll immediately lose your collected pets. Fortunately, you’re not limited to carrying just one pet. You can stack multiple pets during a single run before heading back to safety, making each trip much more rewarding.

Laboratory Spawn Timers

The Laboratory features guaranteed rare pet appearances throughout the day. Current spawn schedule includes:

• Divine Pets: Every hour
• Mythical Pets: Approximately every 15 to 30 minutes

If you’re hunting the rarest creatures, it’s worth checking the Laboratory around these spawn windows to improve your chances.

Two New Divine Pets

The Mad Scientist update introduces two brand-new Divine pets.

• Hamster Bear The first Divine is the Hamster Bear, a giant mutated hamster with bear-like features. It’s one of the largest pets introduced in the update and offers impressive income compared to standard Laboratory pets.
• Tentacle Leviathan The second Divine is the Tentacle Leviathan. This massive creature combines features from a shark, leviathan, and octopus into one terrifying pet. Thanks to its unique design and rarity, it’s already becoming one of the most sought-after Divines in Catch and Tame.

19 New Laboratory Pets
