SSR pets are among the rarest companions in Ragnarok: The New World, and Miya is one of the most sought-after. Besides its rarity, Miya offers powerful crowd control abilities that make it especially useful for farming groups of monsters and clearing PvE content.

However, obtaining Miya isn’t easy. Its spawn location is completely random, and you’ll often have to compete against other players to capture it first. This guide explains where Miya can appear, how to catch it, and what makes this SSR pet worth the effort.

Where to Find SSR Pet Miya

Unlike regular pets with fixed spawn points, Miya appears randomly across several areas of the map. When Miya spawns, the game will display a notification indicating one of several possible locations, including:

  • North Gate
  • East Gate
  • West Gate

Unfortunately, the notification only tells you the general area. The exact spawn point remains random, meaning Miya may not appear immediately even if you’re already waiting at the announced gate.

Because of this unpredictable spawning system, many players camp these locations and wait for the next appearance.

How to Catch Miya

Once you finally locate Miya, you’ll need to act quickly before another player captures it. To improve your chances:

  • Watch for world notifications.
  • Head to the announced gate immediately.
  • Search the surrounding area carefully.
  • Prepare your capture balls beforehand.
  • Catch Miya before nearby players do.

Regular capture balls are generally sufficient, so you don’t necessarily need premium items. Success ultimately depends on arriving early and having a bit of luck.

Why Miya Is Difficult to Obtain

One of the biggest challenges isn’t finding the correct gate—it’s locating Miya before someone else does. Since dozens of players usually wait near each possible spawn location, Miya can disappear within seconds after appearing.

Even if you’re standing in the correct area, there’s no guarantee the pet will spawn directly beside you. Because of its random spawn behavior and heavy competition, obtaining Miya often comes down to patience and good timing.

Miya’s Active Skill

Miya specializes in crowd control, making it an excellent companion when fighting large groups of enemies. Its Active Skill creates a Black Hole that pulls nearby monsters together while reducing their movement speed. At higher skill levels:

  • Enemy Movement Speed is reduced by up to 50%.
  • Defeating enemies inside the Black Hole shortens the skill’s cooldown.
  • The pulling effect does not work on MVPs, Mini Bosses, or Boss monsters.

Although bosses are immune to the pull effect, the skill remains extremely useful for normal monster farming.

Miya’s Passive Skill

Miya’s passive ability focuses on increasing damage across multiple targets. Its Basic Attacks have a chance to bounce between nearby enemies, dealing Neutral Magic Damage with each hit. As the passive skill levels up, it becomes even stronger by increasing:

  • Bounce chance
  • Bounce range
  • Number of affected enemies

At higher levels, the passive can achieve a 100% activation rate, allowing attacks to consistently chain across multiple monsters.

Miya is one of the most valuable SSR pets currently available in Ragnarok: The New World thanks to its impressive crowd control and farming capabilities. Its Black Hole skill helps gather monsters into one area, while its passive attack chains between multiple enemies to speed up PvE grinding.

Although finding Miya can be frustrating due to its random spawn locations and competition from other players, successfully capturing one gives you a powerful companion that can significantly improve your farming efficiency throughout the game.
