Azure Forsaken Guide – Best Tips, Abilities, and How to Play

Azure is one of the most unique killers introduced to Forsaken. Instead of relying solely on direct attacks, Azure controls the battlefield by placing dangerous plants around the map, trapping survivors with vines, and transforming into a powerful golem after building enough energy. Because of its complex mechanics, Azure has a five-star difficulty rating and requires good planning rather than constant chasing. This guide explains how Azure works, the best strategies for using the killer, and how survivors can counter it.

Azure Stats

Before learning the abilities, here are Azure’s basic stats:

Azure isn’t the fastest killer, but its abilities make up for it by controlling survivor movement.

Azure Passive Abilities

Azure relies heavily on three passive abilities that work together with its plants.

Echolocation

Azure’s plants activate whenever nearby survivors sprint or use abilities. Once triggered:

• Plants automatically attack survivors.
• The affected survivor is revealed to Azure for three seconds.
• Walking quietly past plants usually avoids activating them unless the plant is in its Blooming state.

Atropic

Plants apply a new status effect called Atropa. Each plant hit adds one Atropa stack, up to six stacks. When Azure lands a basic attack:

• All Atropa stacks are consumed.
• Azure gains Ablation based on the number of stacks removed.
• The attack deals bonus damage for every stack consumed.

Senescence

Secret Bulb

Secret Bulbs are offensive plants that can be placed on floors or walls. When activated, they:

• Fire projectiles at survivors.

• Apply Atropa stacks.
• Stop attacking if survivors leave their line of sight or stop making noise.

Azure can have up to three Secret Bulbs active at once.

Stigmatized

This ability places powerful vines on the map. When triggered:

• The nearest survivor is trapped.
• The victim takes damage.
• Survivors remain trapped for several seconds unless they receive enough additional damage.

Azure can place up to three vines simultaneously. These vines are perfect for controlling narrow pathways and creating deadly ambushes.

Entangle

Entangle is Azure’s strongest offensive ability. After charging the attack, Azure launches a long-range tentacle that:

• Pulls survivors toward Azure.
• Deals damage on impact.
• Throws the survivor into the air.
• Knocks down nearby survivors when they land.

One of the best strategies is throwing enemies directly into one of your vines, allowing an easy follow-up attack.

Golem Transformation

Once Azure reaches 15 Ablation, it can activate Inflorescence, transforming into a massive golem. The transformation lasts 45 seconds and grants an entirely new moveset. The golem features:

• Stronger melee attacks
• Large area-of-effect slam attacks
• Ground fissures that slow survivors
• Resistance to crowd control effects

The golem isn’t designed for long chases because of its limited stamina. Instead, it excels at forcing survivors into traps and dealing massive burst damage. Azure can also temporarily revert into a statue before switching back to the golem later, making it possible to pressure multiple areas of the map.

Best Azure Tips

Azure performs best when controlling survivor movement instead of chasing endlessly. Some of the most effective strategies include:

• Place all three Secret Bulbs and Vines early in the match.
• Put vines near chokepoints and looping areas.
• Place Secret Bulbs in open spaces where survivors have fewer places to hide.
• Avoid placing vines directly inside doorways, as walls can interfere with activation.
• Keep your plants spread apart instead of stacking them together.
• Herd survivors toward your traps instead of chasing them into open areas.
• Build Atropa stacks before using your basic attack for maximum damage.

Although Azure struggles more on maps with wide open spaces or during Last Man Standing if survivors remain hidden, it becomes incredibly oppressive in the hands of experienced players.
