Forsaken Azure Golem Transformation Guide – How to Unlock, Use, and Play Effectively
Azure’s Golem Transformation is one of the most powerful mechanics in Forsaken. Instead of remaining in its normal form throughout the match, Azure can transform into a massive stone golem with stronger attacks and new abilities. However, activating the transformation requires preparation, and using it effectively takes good timing. This guide explains how to unlock Azure’s Golem Transformation, how each ability works, and the best ways to maximize its potential.
How to Unlock Azure’s Golem Transformation

Before Azure can transform, you must completely fill its Ablation Meter. The meter has a maximum value of 15 Ablation, which is mainly earned by using Azure’s Atropa mechanic. Here’s the process:
- Place Secret Bulbs around the map.
- Let the plants hit survivors to apply Atropa stacks.
- Land a basic attack (Perforating) on those survivors.
- Each Atropa stack consumed grants Ablation while also increasing your attack damage.
Once your Ablation reaches 15, the Inflorescence ability becomes available.
How to Activate the Golem
After filling the Ablation Meter, activate Inflorescence to transform. Keep these details in mind:
- The transformation animation lasts about 4.8 seconds.
- Survivors can escape during the animation, so choose a safe moment to transform.
- The Golem remains active for 45 seconds.
Because of the long activation time, avoid transforming while directly chasing someone unless they’re already trapped.
Azure Golem Stats
The transformed Golem has different movement values than Azure’s normal form. Its main stats include:
- Walk Speed: 9
- Sprint Speed: 30
- Maximum Stamina: 50
Although the sprint speed is respectable, the low stamina means the Golem isn’t designed for long pursuits. Instead, it’s much stronger when controlling areas and forcing survivors into unfavorable positions.
Golem Passive Ability
While transformed, Azure gains the Efflorescent passive.
This passive provides several advantages:
- Negative status effects are reduced by 50%.
- Stuns no longer stop the Golem.
- Instead of being stunned, the Golem briefly suffers Slowness and Helpless.
This makes the transformation much harder for survivors to interrupt compared to Azure’s normal form.
Golem Abilities
The Golem receives an entirely new moveset after transforming.
- Pummeling This becomes the Golem’s primary melee attack. It offers: Long attack range, 26 damage, Short cooldown. Because of its extended reach, Pummeling is excellent for finishing survivors knocked down by your other abilities.
- Blooming Blooming is the Golem’s strongest burst attack. The Golem slams the ground, creating a shockwave that: Knocks survivors down. Deals damage based on distance. Can inflict up to 35 damage at close range. Landing this ability at point-blank range can remove a huge portion of a survivor’s health.
- Unearthing Unearthing sends a shockwave through the ground. It: Travels through walls. Knocks survivors backward. Deals 15 damage. Leaves behind a slowing fissure for several seconds. The fissure significantly slows anyone standing inside it, making it useful for blocking escape routes or trapping survivors in small areas.
- Burrowing Burrowing ends the current Golem form. Instead of canceling the transformation entirely, Azure becomes a stone statue while returning to its original location. Later, you can reactivate the Golem after a short cooldown, allowing you to switch between forms without wasting the remaining transformation duration.
Best Ways to Use the Golem

Many players assume the Golem should constantly chase survivors, but that’s actually one of its biggest weaknesses. Instead, focus on controlling space. Some of the most effective strategies include:
- Force survivors into narrow pathways.
- Use Unearthing to block escape routes.
- Corner survivors between plants and the Golem.
- Use Blooming after getting close enough to guarantee the shockwave.
- Follow knockdowns with Pummeling for extra damage.
Since the Golem has limited stamina, avoid chasing survivors across large maps.
Combine Plants With the Golem
Azure’s plants remain extremely important even after transforming. A powerful strategy is to:
- Place Secret Bulbs and Vines before transforming.
- Herd survivors toward those traps.
- Use the Golem to pressure them into activating your plants.
- Finish trapped survivors with your stronger melee attacks.
This combination allows Azure to deal much higher damage than relying on the Golem alone.
When Should You Transform?
Timing is just as important as earning the transformation. The best opportunities include:
- Multiple survivors grouped together.
- Survivors already cornered near your plants.
- Defending objectives or tight choke points.
- After building a strong trap network.
Avoid transforming if every survivor is already far away, as the lengthy animation gives them plenty of time to escape.
Azure’s Golem Transformation is more than a simple power-up—it completely changes how the killer should be played. Rather than chasing survivors across the map, the Golem excels at controlling space, punishing grouped survivors, and capitalizing on Azure’s existing plant traps.
Learning when to build Ablation, when to activate Inflorescence, and how to combine the Golem with Azure’s traps will make the transformation far more effective. With proper positioning and timing, Azure’s Golem can quickly overwhelm survivors and become one of the most dangerous abilities in Forsaken.
