The latest Fisch update may be smaller than previous releases, but it still introduces several new activities and quality-of-life improvements. The biggest additions include the new Water Park at FishFest, roaming fish mechanics, spear fishing improvements, changes to the Traveler’s Whistle, and a preview of the upcoming Cheetos Rod quest. This guide explains everything included in the update, from completing every Water Park quest to claiming all available rewards. Also check out our Fisch Codes for more rewards!
How to Find the Water Park
The new Water Park is located next to FishFest Island. Starting from Captain Kunch, head toward the Jet Ski Referee area. Continue traveling in that direction until a newly added landmass appears. This is the Water Park, where you’ll find several NPCs offering event quests and rewards. Although the update is relatively small, finishing every quest is an easy way to earn extra Sunshells, cosmetic rewards, and several themed boats.
Start the Water Park Questline
Your first objective is to speak with Water Park Wade, who introduces the Water Park’s clogged pipe problem. After accepting the quest, you’ll receive Water Park Clogged Pipes, which requires you to fish in three different areas around the park. The objective is simple:
- Catch five fish in the main pool.
- Catch five fish in the kiddie pool near the water slides.
- Catch five fish in the lazy river.
The type of fish doesn’t matter, so simply keep fishing until each location reaches five catches.
All Pool Fishing Location Where to find!
Pool Fishing Location
The first objective takes place in the large central swimming pool. Stand along the edge and continue fishing until you’ve caught five fish. Once completed, the quest tracker will automatically update before sending you to the next area.
Kiddie Pool Location
The second fishing area is behind the yellow and red water slides. Look for the small kiddie pool located at the back of the slides. Fish here until you complete another five catches. This finishes the slide portion of the clogged pipes quest.
Lazy River Location
The final fishing location is the lazy river. Cross the nearby bridge and cast your line into the river below. Catch five fish to complete the final objective. After finishing all three areas, return to Wade to receive your first reward.
First Quest Rewards
Completing the clogged pipes quest rewards you with:
- Rubber Ducky Floaty skin for the Floaty Rod
This cosmetic changes the appearance of your Floaty Rod but doesn’t affect gameplay.
Test the Water Park Attractions
After completing the first quest, Wade immediately offers another objective. Instead of fishing, you’ll simply test each attraction. Visit all three locations:
- Jump into the kiddie pool.
- Ride one of the water slides.
- Enter the lazy river.
Each activity automatically updates the quest.
Second Quest Rewards
Once you’ve tested every attraction, return to Wade to receive:
- Water Park Engineer Title
- Sun Slasher Popsicle Floaty boat
- 1,500 Sunshells
Sun Slasher Popsicle Floaty Stats
- Speed: 125
- Steering: 200
- Acceleration: 4
Among the Water Park rewards, this is the fastest vehicle you’ll receive.
Milo’s Floaty Quest
After finishing Wade’s missions, you’ll unlock quests from three additional NPCs. The first is Milo. Speak with him to begin a quest that asks you to recover a Puffer Fish Floaty. Simply fish inside the main swimming pool until you catch it. The floaty is treated as a rare catch but usually doesn’t take very long to obtain.
Milo Rewards
After returning the floaty, you’ll receive:
- Puffer Fish Floaty boat
- 750 Sunshells
Puffer Fish Floaty Stats
- Speed: 80
- Steering: 100
- Acceleration: 3
Drew’s Floaty Quest
Next, locate Drew, who stands near one of the nearby covered structures. He asks you to recover a Dumbo Octopus Floaty. Head back to the lazy river and continue fishing until you catch it.
Drew Rewards
Completing the quest grants:
- Dumbo Octopus Floaty boat
- 750 Sunshells
Its performance matches the other collectible floaty boats.
Ryder’s Floaty Quest
The final NPC is Ryder, located between the yellow and red water slides. Accept his quest before returning to the kiddie pool. Fish there until you catch the Crab Floaty, then return it to Ryder.
Ryder Rewards
You’ll receive:
- Crab Floaty boat
- 750 Sunshells
Like the previous floaty boats, its stats are:
- Speed: 80
- Steering: 100
- Acceleration: 3
After completing Ryder’s mission, you’ve finished every Water Park activity currently available.
How Roaming Fish Work
The biggest gameplay addition in this update is the new Roaming Fish system.
- Instead of relying entirely on random catches, schools of fish now appear throughout the world.
- When you find a group of fish, fishing directly beside them greatly increases your chances of catching that specific species.
- This makes hunting rare fish much more efficient than before.
Spear Fishing Has Been Reworked
Roaming fish also make spear fishing far more useful. When you approach a visible fish underwater, you can throw your spear and trigger the updated mini-game. The new controls require alternating between:
- Left Click
- Right Click
Continue alternating inputs until the capture succeeds. This mechanic works on many fish species, including larger catches like Colossal Squid, although rarer fish can still escape if you fail the sequence.
Traveler’s Whistle Changes Explained
The Traveler’s Whistle has received a significant redesign. Previously, it allowed players to teleport freely after paying the required cost. Now, teleportation is restricted by region. For example:
- You must already be inside Mariana’s Veil before teleporting to locations within that region.
- The same rule applies to Atlantis, Northern Expedition, and other major areas.
- You must also unlock each destination normally before using fast travel.
The goal is to reduce repetitive travel inside large regions without completely removing boat exploration from the game.
Keep in mind that these mechanics may continue to receive balance adjustments in future patches.
Cheetos Rod Quest Has Been Delayed
One of the most anticipated additions—the community-inspired Cheetos Rod—did not launch alongside this update. Players can already find the NPC inside the bunker on Birch Cay Island, but the quest itself hasn’t been activated yet.
The NPC currently has no dialogue or objectives, meaning the content has only been postponed rather than canceled. Once the quest goes live, this location is expected to become the starting point for unlocking the themed fishing rod.
Although this week’s Fisch update is relatively small, it introduces several useful additions. The Water Park provides an easy source of Sunshells and collectible boats, while roaming fish dramatically improve targeted fishing and make spear fishing much more practical. The Traveler’s Whistle changes also encourage exploration while reducing unnecessary travel within larger regions.
With the Cheetos Rod quest expected to arrive in a future update and harpoon content still on the horizon, this release mainly serves as a foundation for much larger gameplay additions coming soon.
