Slap Battles PIM Boss Fight Guide: Full Dungeon Walkthrough

The PIM boss fight in Slap Battles is one of the more involved dungeon challenges, combining exploration, puzzles, parkour, traps, keys, potions, and a multi-phase boss battle. Before you can even fight PIM, you need to work through several rooms and collect the items required to unlock the boss encounter.

This guide covers the full PIM dungeon from the starting mask all the way to the final phase. It also explains the important mechanics, key locations, puzzle solutions, and what to do if the badge does not appear after completing the fight.

How to Start the PIM Boss Fight

Begin by returning to the main island at the Slap Battles spawn area. From spawn, head toward the center of the island and look for the yellow PIM mask. Interact with the mask by holding the interaction button, which will trigger a short animation and transport you into the dungeon.

After the transition, you will appear inside a strange room. One of the first mechanics you need to understand is PIM’s warning. When the yellow PIM character appears, do not move your character or camera. Moving at the wrong moment can cause you to get caught.

Once you are safe, continue through the nearby door and interact with the wheel. This wheel controls which dungeon room you enter, so you will need to use it repeatedly throughout the run.

PIM Dungeon First Rooms and Parkour

The first important room you can reach contains the area that eventually requires five keys. You will not be able to finish this section immediately, so remember its location and return later after collecting the necessary keys.

Continue using the wheel until you reach the parkour room. This section has platforms that repeatedly disappear and reappear. The platforms usually remain gone for around one and a half to two seconds before returning.

The main advice here is to avoid rushing. The jumps are generally straightforward, so wait for the platforms to return before making each jump. Trying to move too quickly is more likely to cause a mistake than help you. There are also five chests in this area. Their contents can vary, but they can provide useful items such as:

  • Keys
  • Health potions
  • Other dungeon supplies
  • Mimics

Be careful when opening chests because some can be Mimics. These enemies can attack you and take away health. Always check where you are going to jump next before opening a chest so you have an escape route if it turns out to be a Mimic. After searching the area, return to the portal and use the wheel again.

How the Blue Dungeon Room Works

Eventually, the wheel will take you into the blue section. This area is important because you need to collect four numbers that form a combination for another room. The four numbers are randomized, so you cannot simply copy somebody else’s combination. You need to record the numbers you find during your own run.

The first number can be found on a wall in one of the rooms. In the example run, the number was 8, but yours can be different. The blue area also contains chests and dangerous eye mechanics. Before opening a chest, try to trigger the nearby eye’s attack first. This gives you a safer opportunity to check whether the chest is a Mimic.

Another room contains statues that can attack when you are not looking at them. Keep your camera facing the statues while moving through this section. You will also find another number on the wall, along with a lever that needs to be activated.

PIM can also appear during this part of the dungeon. If PIM appears, remember the earlier rule: stop moving and avoid moving your camera until the danger has passed.

Finding the Map and Purple Key

Continue through the blue section until you reach another room with a pressure plate and additional hazards. Pay attention to the floor and activate the pressure plate when it is safe. You will eventually reach a chest containing a map. This is one of the most important items in the entire dungeon because it will be needed later to solve a path-based puzzle.

After collecting the map, continue exploring the nearby rooms and chests. You will eventually reach a ladder that leads upward. Search the chests around this section because one of them can contain the Purple Key.

There is also another number hidden on a wall in this area. Record it because it will become the third digit of your combination. Keep using the wheel until you find the final blue room containing the fourth number. Write this number down as well. Once you have all four digits, you can leave the blue section.

Entering the Four-Digit Combination

Return to the main wheel and select the green area. This section requires the four-digit combination you collected from the blue rooms. Be careful while moving through this floor because it contains pressure plates and statues that can attack when you stop looking at them.

Keep your camera positioned toward the statues whenever necessary. At the end of the section, you will find the combination panel. Enter the four numbers in the exact order you discovered them. For example, if your numbers were:

  • First number: 8
  • Second number: 5
  • Third number: 4
  • Fourth number: 7

Then the combination would be 8547. Do not use this exact number unless it is the combination you found in your own run, because the numbers can differ between players. Once the correct combination is entered, the hidden area will open. Search the chests inside and collect the Rune Key.

How to Get the Fiery Key

After obtaining the Rune Key, return through the green area and head back toward the wheel room. You will need to spin the wheel several times to reach another previously skipped section.

This area contains more eyes, traps, and obstacles. Use the map you collected earlier to help navigate the room.

Eventually, you will need to follow the route shown on the map from tile to tile. The correct path will open a hidden section containing several chests.

One of these chests contains the Fiery Key.

There are also Mimics and additional items in this section, so do not assume every chest is safe. Take your time and use the room’s mechanics to your advantage.

You should also save a Poison Potion. It will be required later, so avoid using every potion you find just because you have access to it.

How to Get the Silver Key

After getting the Fiery Key, return through the dungeon and locate the upper ladder section. This part requires a Shrinking Potion.

Climb to the upper area and use the Shrinking Potion to make your character smaller. Once you are small enough, enter the narrow passage and continue toward the chest at the end.

Inside this chest, you can obtain the Silver Key.

At this point, you should have collected the important keys needed for the final lock:

  • Purple Key
  • Rune Key
  • Fiery Key
  • Silver Key

Return to the wheel room once you have all of them.

How to Unlock the PIM Boss Glove

Use the wheel until you reach the room containing the locked glove. Place each key into its corresponding slot.

Once all of the required keys have been inserted, the lock will open. Interact with the glove and hold the interaction button to claim it.

You will then be transported to a training area where a Memory Wizard teaches you the mechanics required for the actual PIM boss battle.

Take some time to learn the abilities here because understanding them makes the real fight considerably easier.

PIM Boss Fight Abilities

The boss fight gives you several abilities that are important for surviving the dungeon.

  • The first is a dash. You can use it to quickly cross gaps and escape dangerous attacks. Combining a jump with the dash allows you to travel farther.
  • The second is a lift ability. This sends your character upward and has a relatively short cooldown. You will need to combine the lift and dash during certain sections.
  • The third is the flare. You can fire the flare and control its direction by moving your camera. This ability is especially important against PIM’s tracking attacks.

You will also encounter blue mana orbs. Collect them whenever possible because your abilities consume mana, and running out at the wrong moment can leave you unable to escape.

PIM Boss Fight Phase 1

The first phase focuses heavily on movement and platform navigation. Use your flare to reveal the platforms ahead of you. Some sections can be difficult to see without using the ability, so avoid wasting your stamina and mana by blindly jumping.

PIM will also fire purple attacks across the arena. Jump over these attacks instead of trying to tank them. Eventually, you reach a looping section where you need to find three yellow orbs. The yellow orbs can be revealed using the flare. Once you find one, walk over to it and slap it toward PIM. Each successful orb attack damages the boss. You need to find all three:

  • One yellow orb on the left side
  • Two yellow orbs on the right side

The final orb requires more careful movement because it is located near tall, difficult-to-see pillars. Use your flare to reveal the route before jumping. Once all three yellow orbs have been sent toward PIM, use your dash and lift abilities to reach the boss. Try to preserve a good amount of stamina before entering Phase 2. Having around 70 or more stamina available can make the next section much safer.

PIM Boss Fight Phase 2

Phase 2 is where most of the actual boss mechanics begin. PIM has several attacks that you need to recognize. The first is the orbital cannon. When a red circle appears around your character, keep moving. When the circle stops, immediately use your dash because the cannon is about to fire.

  • After a few attempts, the audio cues can help you recognize when the attack is coming.
  • PIM can also launch a barrage of rockets. These attacks are marked by circles on the ground, so keep moving and avoid standing inside them.
  • Another attack is the ring barrage. You can either jump over the rings or dash sideways to avoid them. The dash is generally preferable when possible because it allows you to reposition quickly.
  • The most annoying attack is the heat-seeking PIM projectiles. These will chase your character until they hit something.

Fortunately, the flare can trick them. Fire your flare toward the ground or another safe location and the heat-seeking projectile will follow it. Once it hits the ground, it explodes, so make sure you are far enough away to avoid the explosion.

How to Damage PIM in Phase 2

The objective in Phase 2 is not to attack PIM directly.

  • There are six pylons around the arena, each with a flower on top. You need to activate every flower.
  • When you reach a pylon, look for the static orb surrounding your character. Slap the orb toward the flower to open it.
  • Once the flower is open, position yourself behind it and wait for PIM to fire his circular attack. If you stand correctly, PIM’s own attack will hit the flower and damage him.
  • Repeat this process for all six pylons.
  • The pylons can also provide protection. If PIM launches rockets or heat-seeking attacks, use the solid structures as cover whenever possible.

After all six flowers have been activated and damaged by PIM, Phase 3 begins.

PIM Boss Fight Phase 3

The final phase introduces two enemies: a giant mouth and a giant eye.

  • You also gain access to a new Q ability called Shout. This ability is essential for stunning the enemies.
  • Watch the enemies carefully. When one begins glowing green, aim the Shout ability at it and activate it. The attack will freeze the target, giving you an opening to approach and slap it.
  • It is recommended to focus on the giant mouth first because it is easier to reach.
  • The mouth needs to be hit three times. Wait for it to become vulnerable, use Shout, and then move in to slap it. Repeat this process until it is defeated.

You should still watch the arena while attacking because additional hazards can appear from above.

How to Defeat the Giant Eye

After defeating the mouth, the giant eye becomes the main target.

  • The basic strategy remains the same. Wait for the eye to glow green, use Shout to freeze it, then approach and attack.
  • However, the eye introduces additional hazards. Orange circles can appear on the ground, so avoid standing inside them.
  • Heat-seeking projectiles can also appear from above. Use your flare to redirect them away from yourself.
  • A useful strategy is to stay around the center of the arena. The eye can move around the battlefield, and staying near the middle gives you more opportunities to reach it when it becomes vulnerable.
  • You also need to watch for the eye’s red blinking attack. This signals a shockwave. Wait until the shockwave is released before jumping. If you jump too early, the attack can follow you and still hit your character.

When the shockwave appears, make sure you are positioned above it rather than trying to hide underneath the attack.

How to Finish the PIM Boss Fight

After defeating the final boss mechanics, you will reach the final part of the encounter. Follow the sequence that appears and interact with the blue bubble to trigger the ending. Your character will then go through the final escape sequence before returning to the main island. Once you successfully complete the dungeon, you should receive the corresponding badge and the reward associated with the PIM boss fight.

There can be situations where the badge does not immediately appear after finishing the fight. If this happens, do not immediately assume that your run failed. Return to the yellow PIM mask at the main island and enter the portal again. Reloading the dungeon can trigger the badge to register properly. After returning from the portal, check your badges again to confirm that the reward has been added to your account.

The PIM boss fight is much more than a normal Slap Battles encounter because the majority of the challenge happens before the boss itself. You need to solve the dungeon, collect multiple keys, remember a randomized combination, use the map correctly, and manage several different hazards before you even reach the final arena.

Once you understand what each room requires, however, the dungeon becomes much more manageable. Take your time, keep track of your items, and save your movement abilities for the sections where they actually matter. The final boss is mainly about recognizing attacks, using the correct ability at the right moment, and avoiding unnecessary damage.
