Getting new units is one of the main parts of Anime Story 2. Some units are easy to get from the normal banners, while others require raids, towers, bosses, Battle Pass levels, evolutions, or special events. With so many units in the game, it can be hard to remember where each one comes from. Some units also have different versions that can only be unlocked by evolving another unit.

This Anime Story 2 unit obtainment guide lists the units and their current ways to obtain them. The list includes units from the original updates as well as several additions from later updates, including Update 2.25, the Summer updates, and Update 4.0.

Banner 1 Units

Banner 1 is one of the main ways to obtain units in Anime Story 2. A large number of characters can be found here, including many of the game’s regular units.

Units available from Banner 1 include:

  • Acu
  • Ant King
  • Anti-Hero
  • Asota
  • Blossom
  • Cursed Robot
  • Dark Assassin
  • Dell
  • Destruction
  • Devil Cyborg
  • Eron
  • Ethereal Archer
  • Flame Lion
  • Flamingo
  • Froza
  • Genitsu
  • Gojin
  • Kokashi
  • Levan
  • Lover Girl
  • Lust
  • Magumi
  • Maheto
  • Maid Destruction
  • Mikaya
  • Namu
  • Nezuko
  • Noruto
  • Nubara
  • Pickleo
  • Ruki
  • Shinube
  • Soul Guardian
  • Sound Breather Master
  • Spirit Brawler
  • Super Roku
  • Time Angel
  • Ultimate Warrior
  • Ultimate Warrior (Maid)
  • Universal
  • Vogita
  • White Lotus
  • Xoro
  • Youji

Some newer units are also tied to the banner system. Rock Lee and Kabuto, for example, were added as Banner Mythic units, while Minato was added as a Banner Secret.

Banner 2 Units

Later updates introduced Banner 2, which contains several stronger and much rarer units.

The Summer Update added several characters to this banner, including:

  • Golden Fusion (Gogeta) – Banner 2 Secret
  • Clock Queen (Kurumi) – Banner 2 Secret
  • Ice Spider (Grimmjow) – Banner 2 Mythic
  • Water Magician (Noelle) – Banner 2 Mythic
  • Flame Swordsman (Rengoku) – Banner 2 Mythic
  • MeguMAN (Megumi) – Banner 2 Mythic

Golden Fusion is especially rare, with a listed chance of 1 in 250,000 and no pity. Clock Queen has a 1 in 10,000 chance and does have pity.

Blue Fusion can also be obtained from Banner 2 as a Serialized/Story Teller unit. Its normal chance is listed as 1 in 25 million, while the shiny version has an even lower 1 in 150 million chance.

Secret Boss Units

Some units are not obtained through banners at all. Instead, you need to find and defeat secret bosses.

The following units are listed as Secret Boss rewards:

  • 23rd Magic Emperor
  • Battle Maniac
  • Black Bull
  • Time Emperor

These units can take more work to obtain because you first need to locate the correct boss and defeat it.

Raid Units

Raids are another important source of units. Several characters can only be obtained by completing specific raid content.

Ember Village Raid

  • Agony
  • Raven

Agony can later be used for the Nagblox evolution listed in the update information.

Vastora Realm Raid

  • Kaizen
  • Reaper

Kaizen is connected to several evolution steps, while Reaper can eventually become Reaper (Bankai).

The Eclipse Raid

  • Broken Knight (Bad)
  • Dark Swordsman
  • Dior
  • Maid Dior

Dark Swordsman is also listed as being available from Eclipse Raid 5 and 6.

Other Raid Units

Other raid-related units include:

  • Kaizen – Vastora Raid 6
  • Pain – Raid 3 Act 6
  • Itachi – Raid 3 Act 6
  • Black Zetsu – Naruto Raid Act 6
  • Black and White Zetsu – Naruto Raid Act 5
  • Minato Evo – Naruto Raid Act 6
  • Nagblox – Evolution of Agony from Ember Village Raid 6
  • Marco – Cursed Academy Raid Act 6

Because raid units are tied to specific content, make sure you check the required Act, floor, or raid before farming.

Infinite Mode Units

Infinite stages can also reward special units.

Some of the units connected to Infinite content are:

  • Bald – Heroic City Infinite
  • Boo – Gold District Infinite
  • Greatest Maid – Rome Infinite
  • Silent Bloom – Soul Haven Infinite
  • Sloth – Realm Seven Infinite
  • Sosuke – Beach Harbour Infinite
  • Tatsumaki – Heroic City Infinite

Silent Bloom is particularly useful to remember because it can later be evolved into Silent Bloom (Kageyoshi).

Tower Units

Tower content has several unit rewards, with some requiring very high floors.

The listed tower units include:

  • Fairy Prince – Nature Tower Floor 500
  • Wandering Mage – Every 100 Floors in Tower
  • Hashirama – Nature Tower Floor 1000
  • Tobirama – Water Tower Floor 500
  • Gaara – Tower
  • Seven Tailed Beast – Category Tower Floor 500
  • Tobias – Category Tower Floor 100
  • Tidal Empress (Harribel) – Normal Tower every 100 floors
  • Alpha – Summer Tower Floor 500

Some tower rewards require a lot of time because you need to progress through many floors before reaching the required stage.

Dungeon Units

Dungeon content is another way to get special characters.

  • Broken Knight (Good) – Dungeon
  • Shadow Knight – Double Dungeon VII

Broken Knight (Good) can also be evolved into White Hawk.

Evolution Units

Many units in Anime Story 2 have upgraded forms. These versions are not obtained directly from a banner. Instead, you need the base unit and the required evolution materials.

Some important evolution units include:

  • Asota (Devil) – Evolution of Asota
  • Crimson King – Evolution of Broken Knight (Bad)
  • Dark Swordsman (Ascended) – Evolution of Dark Swordsman
  • Devil Cyborg (Meltdown) – Evolution of Devil Cyborg
  • Golden Wind (Requiem) – Evolution of Golden Wind
  • Greed (Fox) – Evolution of Greed
  • Jolios (King) – Evolution of Time Emperor
  • Kaizen (Ascended) – Evolution of Kaizen (Kido)
  • Kaizen (Kido) – Evolution of Kaizen
  • Killer (Rebirthed) – Evolution of Killer
  • Majestic Vampire – Evolution of Majestic Man
  • Pride (Sun) – Evolution of Pride
  • Raven (Red) – Evolution of Raven
  • Reaper (Bankai) – Evolution of Reaper
  • Roku (Rose) – Evolution of Roku (Black)
  • Silent Bloom (Kageyoshi) – Evolution of Silent Bloom
  • Slime (Demon) – Evolution of Slime
  • Universal Vs Vanguard – Evolution of Universal
  • Vampire Brandon – Evolution of Brandon
  • Vogita (Blue) – Evolution of Vogita
  • White Hawk – Evolution of Broken Knight (Good)
  • White Lotus (Haze) – Evolution of White Lotus
  • Wrath (Fury) – Evolution of Wrath
  • Yono (Fairy) – Evolution of Fairy Prince
  • Yono (Star) – Evolution of Yono (Fairy)
  • Chainsaw (Dominated) – Evolution of Chainsaw
  • Gojin Unleashed – Evolution of Gojin

Evolution is important because some of the strongest versions of characters require you to upgrade an existing unit instead of obtaining them separately.

Realm Units

Several units are connected to Realm content.

  • Greed – Realm Seven V
  • Pride – Realm Seven VII
  • Sloth – Realm Seven Infinite

These units require progression through their respective Realm stages.

Special Event and Summer Units

The Summer updates added several limited ways to obtain units.

The Summer Boss system includes:

  • Red Demon (Janemba) – Summer Boss drop or shop
  • Monkey King (Jin Mori) – Summer Boss drop or shop
  • Dominate (Boss) – Summer Apocalypse drop

Red Demon has a listed 90% boss appearance chance every three hours, while Monkey King has a 30% chance every three hours.

Other Summer units can be obtained through special content:

  • Pirate King (Gold Roger) – Treasure Chest from Summer Party
  • Bomb – Summer Capsule
  • Angel Demon – Summer Capsule
  • Tanjiro – Summer Capsule
  • Demon Hunter – Summer Capsule
  • Power – Summer Capsule
  • War Demon – Summer Chest

These methods are different from normal banners, so check the event area when the related content is active.

Battle Pass Units

The Battle Pass also provides exclusive units.

  • Roku (Black) – Battle Pass Season 1 Level 100
  • Wrath – Battle Pass Level 50
  • Ayanakoji – Battle Pass Tier 50
  • Light Yagami – Battle Pass Tier 100
  • Chuuya and Dazai – Battle Pass

If you want these characters, you need to reach their listed Battle Pass level before the relevant pass or reward period ends.

Other Special Units

Some units have unique obtainment methods that do not fit into the normal banner, raid, or tower categories.

  • Aura Farmer – Unobtainable
  • Brandon – Breaking Portal
  • Majestic Man – Unbreaking Portal
  • Oni King – Leaderboard Update 1
  • Chainsaw – Boss Attack every Floor 100
  • Peaceful Guy – Index
  • Sukuna + Toji – Modifier Trials
  • Evo Megumi – Modifier Trials
  • Chae In – Tower every Floor 100
  • Admirals + Whitebeard – Marine Overtake
  • Whitebeard – Marine Ford Story Act 5 and 7
  • Ice Admiral – Marine Ford Story Act 2

The exact method matters for these units because simply using the regular banner will not give you every character.

Naruto and Anime-Themed Units

Several units from later updates were added through Naruto-related content and other special stages.

These include:

  • Sasuke Inf – Beach Harbour
  • Sakura Evo – obtained from Banner
  • Naruto Evo – obtained from Banner
  • Pain – Raid 3 Act 6
  • Itachi – Raid 3 Act 6
  • Madara – World Boss
  • Gaara – Tower
  • Obito – Extreme Battle Assault and Category Tower Floor 100
  • Hashirama – Nature Tower Floor 1000
  • Tobirama – Water Tower Floor 500
  • Sage of Six Paths – Naruto Evolution, World 13 Act 8
  • Black Zetsu – Naruto Raid Act 6
  • White Zetsu – World 13 Act 8
  • Black and White Zetsu – Naruto Raid Act 5
  • Minato Evo – Naruto Raid Act 6

These units are spread across different types of content, so you will need to progress through the related story, raid, tower, or boss content to collect them.

How to Get the Hardest Units

Some units are much harder to obtain than normal Banner 1 characters.

For extremely rare units such as Golden Fusion and Blue Fusion, the main challenge is their very low drop rate. Other units require high tower floors, difficult raids, or specific bosses.

A good way to approach unit collection is to focus on one category at a time.

Start with Banner 1 units because they are generally easier to obtain. After that, work on raids and Infinite stages while building a stronger team.

Once your account is strong enough, you can start farming high tower floors, world bosses, modifier trials, and other special content.

For evolution units, always keep the base version of the character when possible. Many upgraded forms cannot be obtained directly and instead require the original unit.

Anime Story 2 has a large unit roster, and the way you obtain each character can be very different. Some are available from Banner 1, while others come from Banner 2, raids, towers, Infinite stages, bosses, Battle Pass rewards, portals, or special events.

Evolution is also a major part of collecting units. Characters such as Dark Swordsman, Kaizen, Reaper, Silent Bloom, White Lotus, Wrath, and several others have upgraded versions that require the original unit first.

New updates continue to add more characters and new ways to obtain them. Because of this, the unit list can change whenever new content is released.

If you are trying to complete your Anime Story 2 collection, use this guide to find the correct content for each unit instead of spending time farming the wrong stage. For rare characters, be prepared for longer grinds, especially when the unit requires a high tower floor, a special boss, or an extremely low banner chance.
