The Veil Class Tier List Guide, How to Get Every Class and Their Ability!
Classes are an important part of character progression in The Veil. Each class gives you a different set of abilities, so your choice can change how you approach enemies, bosses, exploration, and PvP fights. There are currently seven classes to unlock, and they are not all obtained in the same way.
Some require kills, while others need offerings. Every class also costs 500 Silver, so you should have enough currency before visiting the NPC that unlocks your chosen class. Below is a complete The Veil Class Tier List, followed by the requirements, locations, NPCs, and abilities for every class.
The Veil Class Tier List
Here is the current ranking based on the overall usefulness of each class, including damage, mobility, survivability, and utility.
- S Tier: Gladiator
- A Tier: Duskwing, Hive Disciple
- B Tier: Sky Sentinel, Crusader
- C Tier: Florist
- D Tier: Marauder
This ranking is mainly intended as a general guide. Your best class can be different depending on whether you prefer PvE, PvP, mobility, damage, or support abilities.
How to Unlock Classes in The Veil
Unlocking a class requires you to find the correct NPC and meet their requirements. You will also need 500 Silver for every class listed above.
The requirements are different depending on the class. Gladiator, Duskwing, Hive Disciple, and Marauder require kills, while Crusader, Florist, and Sky Sentinel require offerings.
Keep in mind that some NPCs are located in areas that may take time to reach. Duskwing is also different because Asmodeus only appears at night at The Lone Pillar.

S Tier – Gladiator
- NPC: Vorax
- Location: Hidden Echo Village
- Requirements: 20 kills and 500 Silver
Gladiator is a strong choice for players who prefer direct combat. Its main strength comes from Rage Aura, which significantly increases your attack damage and makes the class very effective when fighting enemies up close.
Gladiator Abilities
- Rage Aura (C) Enter a rage state that increases your attack damage by 40%.
- Unbound Ascent (F) Launch yourself forward and kick an enemy into the air, dealing 20 damage. While Rage is active, the kick becomes infused with fire, increasing the damage to 25 and applying the fire effect.
Gladiator is a great option if you want a simple but powerful melee class. The damage bonus is especially useful during fights where you can stay close to your target.
A Tier – Duskwing
- NPC: Asmodeus
- Location: The Lone Pillar, only available at night
- Requirements: 20 kills and 500 Silver
Duskwing focuses on shadows, mobility, and short bursts of combat. It is a good option for players who like getting close to an enemy quickly and escaping before taking too much damage.
Duskwing Abilities
- Shadow Grasp (C) Send out a shadow tendril that attaches to the closest enemy and pulls you toward them. You gain 50% damage and temporary invincibility during the ability.
- Crow’s Flight (Q) Disappear into the shadows and travel a long distance quickly.
- Blacklash (F) Turn away from your opponent and cover yourself in shadows. If you receive more than 5 damage while hidden, you release a burst of darkness that blinds your opponent.
Duskwing has a strong combination of mobility and defensive utility, making it useful for players who like fast combat.
A Tier – Hive Disciple
- NPC: Hiveling Corpse
- Location: The Cyst
- Requirements: 20 kills and 500 Silver
Hive Disciple is built around rot-based attacks. Instead of relying only on normal damage, the class can reduce enemy health and apply rot effects.
Hive Disciple Abilities
- Stench Aura (C) Release corrupted energy that infects your target with rot and deals damage equal to 11% of their health.
- Wreath of Blight (F) Summon several homing rot orbs. They slowly move toward nearby enemies before exploding, dealing 8% damage and applying rot.
- Rotslide (Q) Slide forward while leaving damaging pools of filth behind you.
Hive Disciple is a good pick against enemies with large health pools because several of its abilities deal percentage-based damage.
B Tier – Sky Sentinel
- NPC: Cryus
- Location: The Shimmer
- Requirements: 20 offerings and 500 Silver
Sky Sentinel is a summon-focused class that uses Ice Wisps and ice-based attacks. It is a good choice for players who enjoy having extra units help them during combat.
Sky Sentinel Abilities
- Ice Wisp Aura (C) Summon three Ice Wisps to fight alongside you.
- Ice Surge (Q) Spin around and release two waves of ice.
- Glacial Bastion (F) Create a freezing wind that strengthens your summons. It increases their damage and damage resistance by 20%, and the bonus can stack. The ability also applies ice on hit and restores 40% of their health.
Sky Sentinel can be especially useful when you want to combine your own attacks with summoned allies.
B Tier – Crusader
- NPC: Elian
- Location: The Glade’s Church
- Requirements: 20 offerings and 500 Silver
Crusader is one of the more defensive classes available in The Veil. Its kit includes healing, teleportation, and light-based attacks, giving it a balanced mix of survival and combat utility.
Crusader Abilities
- Healing Aura Call down a beam of light that restores 20% of your health.
- Holy Step Step into the light and teleport to another location.
- Cascade of Light Call down several beams of light around nearby enemies. Each beam deals 15 damage and applies the light effect.
Crusader is a solid choice for players who want a safer playstyle. The healing ability can help you stay alive during longer fights, while Holy Step gives you useful mobility.
C Tier – Florist
- NPC: Briar
- Location: The Glade’s Garden
- Requirements: 20 offerings and 500 Silver
Florist uses poison and plant-based abilities to deal damage over time. It can be useful when you want to control an area and force enemies to stay away from certain locations.
Florist Abilities
- Venom Aura Transform into a poisonous cloud and create eight poison clouds. Enemies standing inside them take 3 damage every second and can be affected by poison.
- Vine Rush Roll forward in a burst of vines, poisoning enemies and dealing 2 damage with each hit.
- Symbiotic Bloom Summon a flower from the ground that explodes every 2.5 seconds, dealing 5 damage to enemies. It also restores 1.5% of your health and removes your poison status.
Florist can work well for players who enjoy damage-over-time abilities and area control.
D Tier – Marauder
- NPC: Dash
- Location: Hidden Echo Village
- Requirements: 10 kills, 10 offerings, and 500 Silver
Marauder is focused heavily on speed. It has several movement abilities that allow you to quickly approach enemies, escape danger, or reposition during combat.
Marauder Abilities
- Surge Aura Become extremely fast, gaining 10 movement speed and 25% swing speed. This allows you to move around enemies while attacking at a faster rate.
- Flashstep Move forward at extremely high speed.
- Vanishing Gambits Disappear for a moment and appear behind the closest opponent, catching them off guard.
Marauder can still be useful for players who value speed and movement, especially if you are comfortable with fast-paced combat. Its lower ranking does not mean the class is useless; it simply has less overall utility compared with some of the other options.
Which Class Should You Choose?
If you want strong direct damage, Gladiator is one of the easiest classes to recommend. Its 40% damage boost makes it straightforward to use and effective in close-range combat.
For a more mobile playstyle, Duskwing and Marauder are worth considering. Duskwing combines movement with temporary invincibility and damage boosts, while Marauder focuses heavily on speed.
If you prefer special effects and damage over time, Hive Disciple and Florist are good choices. Hive Disciple focuses on rot and percentage-based damage, while Florist uses poison and area control.
For players who want healing or summons, Crusader and Sky Sentinel are better options. Crusader provides healing and teleportation, while Sky Sentinel brings Ice Wisps into battle and can boost their performance.
That covers the current The Veil Class Tier List and how to unlock every class. Each class has its own strengths, so there is no need to choose only based on the tier ranking. Gladiator is a strong all-around melee option, Duskwing provides mobility and defensive utility, and Hive Disciple is great for rot-based damage. Sky Sentinel focuses on summons, Crusader offers healing, Florist uses poison, and Marauder is built around speed. Before unlocking a class, make sure you have the required kills or offerings as well as 500 Silver. More importantly, choose the class that matches the way you like to play The Veil.
