Pixel Blade Full Release Progression Beginner Guide: First Area, Classes, Dungeons & Progression
Pixel Blade has finally entered its full release, giving Roblox players a chance to experience the RPG after its earlier development period. The game mixes dungeon crawling, pixel-style visuals, character classes, weapons, elements, loot, and boss battles into one progression system.
For new players, the beginning can feel a little confusing because there are several systems to learn at once. This guide covers the early-game experience, including choosing a class, entering the Grasslands dungeon, collecting gear, upgrading equipment, and defeating the King Slayer.
1. Choosing Your Class

When you first start Pixel Blade, one of the first things you will need to do is choose your class. The game gives you several options, and the class you receive can influence how you approach combat and what type of abilities work best with your build.
Some classes focus more on attacking, while others can provide healing or different types of utility. For example, the Necromancer can provide healing-related abilities, while other classes can be more suitable for direct combat.
If you are just starting, do not worry too much about getting the perfect class immediately. The important thing is to begin learning the combat system and understand which type of playstyle you enjoy.
2. Enter the Grasslands Dungeon
After setting up your character, you can begin your dungeon progression through the Grasslands. This serves as one of the first major areas where you can fight enemies, collect equipment, level up, and learn how the game’s combat works.
The early enemies are relatively manageable, making the first dungeon a good place to practice your attacks and abilities. You can also experiment with different skills and elements while working through the area.
As you progress deeper into the dungeon, enemies become stronger. This is where upgrading your equipment starts becoming more important, especially when your basic attacks are no longer defeating enemies as quickly as before.
3. How Elements and Spirits Work

During dungeon runs, you can encounter different elemental choices, such as Flame and Frost. These choices can affect the abilities available to your character and give you additional ways to deal damage.
The Spirit system can initially be confusing for new players. Spirits appear to be connected to the skills or elemental abilities you select during a run, allowing you to build up different abilities as you progress through the dungeon.
Because you can encounter different options during a run, it is worth experimenting with them instead of immediately choosing the same ability every time. This can help you understand which combination works best with your weapon and class.
4. Learn to Parry
Combat in Pixel Blade is not simply about attacking enemies until they fall. Parrying is also an important part of the combat system, particularly when fighting stronger enemies and bosses.
There does not appear to be a traditional block mechanic, meaning learning the timing of your parries can become very useful. A successful parry can interrupt or counter an incoming attack and give you an opportunity to strike back.
This becomes especially important against bosses because their attacks can remove a large amount of health. Instead of constantly running away, learning their attack patterns and parrying at the correct moment can make difficult fights much easier.
5. Collect and Upgrade Your Equipment

One of the biggest parts of Pixel Blade’s progression is collecting better equipment from dungeons. Completing runs can reward you with weapons, armor, chests, and other useful items.
The first dungeon can already provide equipment such as the Frostblade and Iron Armor. As you continue playing, you can find stronger gear that significantly improves your character.
You can also upgrade certain equipment. For example, a weapon that initially provides around 30 damage can become much stronger after an upgrade, with the displayed damage increasing substantially.
Because of this, do not immediately ignore lower-tier equipment. Check its stats and upgrade potential before deciding what to replace.
6. Open Your Chests
Dungeon runs can leave you with several chests and equipment rewards, so remember to return to the lobby and check everything you collected.
There are different types of chests, including higher-quality options such as Godly Chests. These can give you better equipment and provide another way to improve your character outside of simply completing more dungeons.
You may also receive duplicate weapons. Instead of treating duplicates as useless, check whether they can be upgraded or used to improve your existing equipment.
7. Defeat the Giant Goblin
The Giant Goblin is one of the early bosses you can encounter while progressing through the Grasslands. By the time you reach this fight, you should already have several opportunities to improve your weapon and armor.
The boss can hit hard, but positioning is useful during the fight. Staying behind the Giant Goblin when possible can help you avoid some of its attacks while allowing you to continue dealing damage.
Clear the smaller enemies around the boss when necessary, then focus on the Giant Goblin once the area is safe enough. After defeating it, return to the lobby to collect your rewards and continue upgrading your character.
8. Upgrade Your Build Before King Slayer

As you continue through the Grasslands, the enemies become noticeably stronger. This is a good point to stop and check your equipment instead of simply rushing toward the next boss.
Upgrade your strongest weapon and equip better armor whenever possible. Attack speed can also make a difference, although a slower weapon with significantly higher damage may still be useful depending on your build.
Health potions are also worth keeping available. Later sections can contain stronger enemies that require several hits to defeat, so having healing items can prevent an otherwise successful run from ending because of low HP.
9. How to Defeat King Slayer
The King Slayer is one of the major bosses encountered in the early progression. Unlike the weaker enemies, this fight requires you to pay much closer attention to attacks and stamina.
Before starting the fight, make sure your HP is high and that you have enough resources to survive. There is also a healing opportunity before the boss, so use it before entering the encounter.
During the battle, watch the boss carefully and look for opportunities to parry its attacks. Avoid wasting stamina by constantly using skills if you need that stamina for important abilities or movement.
The fight can take some time if your equipment is not strong enough, so patience is important. Keep attacking when there is a safe opening, dodge dangerous attacks, and use parries whenever you are confident about the timing.
After defeating King Slayer, you will complete the Grasslands progression and receive a large amount of loot from the run.
Is Pixel Blade Worth Playing?
Pixel Blade offers a fun dungeon-focused experience for Roblox players who enjoy games built around repeated runs, equipment upgrades, classes, and boss fights. Its visual style also helps it stand out, using a 3D pixel-inspired design rather than going for a completely traditional Roblox look.
The game has similarities to dungeon RPGs such as Dungeon Quest, but it adds its own systems through classes, elements, Spirits, parrying, equipment upgrades, and different progression mechanics.
The full release also gives the game plenty of room to grow. More content and updates can expand the current dungeon progression, so the early areas are only the beginning of what players can potentially experience.
The full release of Pixel Blade gives new players a fresh opportunity to jump into its dungeon RPG gameplay. Starting with the Grasslands, you can level up your character, experiment with classes and elements, collect weapons and armor, upgrade your gear, and eventually take on bosses such as the Giant Goblin and King Slayer.
For beginners, the biggest things to learn are the combat timing, parrying, equipment upgrades, and how your class works with your chosen abilities. Once those systems start making sense, progressing through the dungeons becomes much easier and more enjoyable.
