The Veil Hybrid Class Guide, How to Get & Change Class
Classes are an important part of progression in The Veil. Each class gives your character different abilities and can change the way you play the game. You are not stuck with one class forever, either. Once you unlock multiple classes, you can switch between them. There is also a way to combine abilities from different classes and create a hybrid setup. In this guide, we will explain how classes work, what Sin and Offerings have to do with them, how to switch classes, and how you can create a hybrid build.
What Are Classes in The Veil?
Classes give your character access to different abilities and playstyles. Some are focused on combat, while others are better for support, movement, summoning, or special effects. The two main resources connected to class progression are Sin and Offerings.
Sin is connected to the more evil or chaotic side of the game, while Offerings are connected to the good side. Many classes require one of these resources before you can unlock them. Most classes require around 30 Sin or 30 Offerings, although some classes have different requirements.
For example, Crusader is a good-aligned class that requires Offerings, while Gladiator requires Sin. There are also classes with mixed requirements. Marauder, for example, requires 15 Sin and 15 Offerings.
Having a mixed requirement does not automatically make the class a hybrid. The hybrid system works differently and allows you to combine abilities from classes you have unlocked.
How to Get Classes in The Veil

Before unlocking a class, you normally need to complete its specific class quest. The difficulty of these quests depends on the class. Some can be completed fairly quickly, while others require you to complete certain tasks or defeat specific enemies.
For example, the Marauder quest involves reaching a location within a time limit. Meanwhile, other classes can require you to defeat enemies or complete other objectives. Once you meet the resource requirement and finish the class quest, you will also generally need 1,000 Silver to unlock the class. Because of this, it is a good idea to keep at least 1,000 Silver ready before starting your class progression.
Can You Switch Classes?
Yes, you can switch between classes that you have already unlocked. You do not have to permanently stay with the first class you choose. Once you have multiple classes, you can open the class menu and select another unlocked class.
For example, if you have Crusader and Marauder, you can switch from Crusader to Marauder whenever you want. Your abilities will change based on the class you select. This gives you a lot more freedom when experimenting with different builds. You can also continue unlocking other classes instead of choosing only one path.
How to Become a Hybrid Class
The hybrid system is different from simply switching classes. To create a hybrid, you need to use an ability from another class while keeping your current class active. For example, you could be playing as a Crusader but decide that you do not want to use one of the Crusader abilities. You can replace that ability with an ability from Marauder.
After doing this, you are considered a hybrid. You can mix abilities from different classes depending on what you have unlocked. This means you can create a setup that combines skills from multiple playstyles. For example, you could keep a Crusader healing ability while using a Marauder movement ability such as Vanishing Gambit or Flash Step.
Can You Use Multiple Class Abilities?
Yes. The hybrid system gives you quite a lot of freedom. You are not limited to replacing only one ability. Depending on the available slots and abilities, you can mix different skills to create a custom setup.
This can lead to some interesting combinations. For example, a player could combine Crusader’s healing abilities with abilities from a more aggressive class. Another combination could focus on poison, movement, or summoning. The main advantage is that you can build around the abilities you actually enjoy using rather than being forced to use every skill from one class.
What Happens to Class Buffs When You Go Hybrid?
There is an important downside to becoming a hybrid. When you use the hybrid system, you lose the bonus class buff that normally comes with your main class. For example, Marauder has its own movement-related class bonus, while Crusader provides bonuses related to healing and resistance.
If you switch to a hybrid setup, these special class buffs are removed. This means there is a trade-off. You gain the freedom to mix abilities from different classes, but you give up the passive bonus provided by your normal class. Because of this, a hybrid build is not automatically better than using a single class.
All Known Classes in The Veil

There are several classes currently known in The Veil. Each one has a different theme and playstyle.
1. Gladiator
Gladiator is a straightforward combat class focused on fighting enemies directly. It has a rage-style ability and works well for players who want a simple melee-focused setup.
2. Dusk Bringer
Dusk Bringer is more focused on movement and mobility. It has a ninja or shinobi-like style and features a grappling hook, giving the class a different way to move around the map.
3. Hive Disciple
Hive Disciple uses insects and poison as part of its abilities. Instead of relying purely on normal melee attacks, the class can use its insect-based abilities to apply pressure to enemies.
4. Sky Sentinel
Sky Sentinel is a summoning-focused class connected to the Offering side of progression. Its abilities revolve around summoning, making it a different option compared to the more direct combat classes.
5. Crusader
Crusader is a support-focused class with a priest-like theme. It has abilities that can help heal players and is a good choice if you want to support yourself or your teammates during fights.
6. Florist
Florist has a druid-like playstyle. Its abilities are based around nature and give the class a different identity compared to the melee-focused options.
7. Marauder
Marauder is built around speed and movement. It is designed for players who want to move quickly and use mobility to their advantage. It does not focus heavily on direct damage, making it more useful for players who enjoy fast and tricky playstyles.
8. Cultist
Cultist is another summoning-based class, but it represents the darker side of the game’s alignment system. Unlike Sky Sentinel, which is connected to Offerings, Cultist is associated with the evil or Sin side.
Which Class Should You Choose?

There is no single class that everyone needs to use. If you enjoy supporting teammates, Crusader can be a good option. Players who prefer direct combat may enjoy Gladiator, while those who like movement can look toward Marauder or Dusk Bringer.
For players who enjoy summons, Sky Sentinel and Cultist provide different options.
The hybrid system also means you can experiment instead of committing to one playstyle forever. You can unlock multiple classes and change your abilities when you want to try something new.
Tips for Class Progression
If you plan to unlock several classes, start collecting Sin and Offerings early. You should also keep some Silver available because many class unlocks require 1,000 Silver after completing the class quest.
It is also worth completing class quests even when you are not immediately planning to use that class. Having more classes unlocked gives you more options when creating hybrid builds. Most importantly, check the requirements before starting a class grind. Some quests can take much longer than others.
The class system in The Veil gives players plenty of freedom. You can unlock different classes, switch between them, and eventually use their abilities together to create a hybrid build.
The biggest thing to remember is that becoming a hybrid comes with a trade-off. You can mix abilities from different classes, but you lose the special bonus buff from your normal class.
If you want to experiment with different builds, it is worth unlocking as many classes as possible. Keep farming Sin, Offerings, and Silver, complete the class quests, and then test different ability combinations until you find a setup that fits your playstyle.
