Eggs are one of the most important parts of Steal an Egg. They are the main way to collect new pets, and each zone has its own selection of eggs for players to find. To get one, you need to travel to a nest, grab the egg, avoid the creatures protecting it, and safely bring it back to your base.
Once an egg is placed inside your pen, you can hatch it to receive a pet. The pet’s value and the amount of income it produces are mainly determined by its size and rarity, so finding larger and rarer eggs should be one of your main goals as you progress.
How Eggs Work
The basic gameplay loop for eggs is simple. Explore the different zones, find an egg nest, steal an egg, and carry it back to your base without getting caught by the guardian creatures.
Every egg contains a specific pet. However, the final value of that pet can vary depending on the egg’s size and rarity. Larger eggs generally provide better results, while higher-rarity eggs can contain much more valuable pets.
Eggs also come in different colors. These colors can change how the egg and the resulting pet look, but they do not affect the income generated by the pet.
Because of this, don’t judge an egg based on its color alone. Pay more attention to its shape, size, and rarity when deciding which one is worth taking.
Egg Spawn and Reset Times
Eggs have a reset system that keeps the nests active while you play. Normal eggs reset every 5 minutes, allowing players to return to an area and look for another egg after the previous one has been taken.
Each biome also has its own collection of eggs. This means that the pets you can obtain depend on which area you are exploring. There are also eggs that don’t follow the normal biome spawn system. Limited and special eggs can only be obtained through specific methods.
Limited and Special Eggs
Some eggs are connected to events rather than regular biome nests. Brainrot Eggs and other event-exclusive eggs are examples of special eggs that won’t normally appear in standard nests. These eggs can instead be obtained from the Store or through special events such as Admin Abuse.
