Rift Eggs are some of the most valuable eggs you can get in Steal an Egg, with exclusive pets ranging from Legendary all the way up to Divine. Unlike normal eggs found around the different biomes, Rift Eggs are tied to the Rift system and can contain pets that cannot be obtained from regular nests.
There are three main Rift Egg pools: Riftborn, Riftbeasts, and Shattered Rift. Each pool contains five different pets, with the rarities getting higher toward the final slots. The Rift system also has the Abyss Overlord Egg, which is obtained through the Rift boss fight rather than the normal pet-sacrifice machine. This guide covers every Rift-related egg and the pets they can give you.
How Rift Eggs Work
The main Rift machine asks you to provide three specific pets. Once all three requested pets have been added, you can sacrifice them to receive the currently active Rift Egg. The requested pets and active banner can change, so it is worth checking the machine before farming the required pets.
The three main Rift pools are:
- Riftborn Egg
- Riftbeasts Egg
- Shattered Rift Egg
The reported rotation chances are 45% for Riftborn, 35% for Riftbeasts, and 20% for Shattered Rift. These are rotation chances for the egg pools, not the individual pet hatch rates.
How to Get More Rift Eggs
The best way to farm the three main Rift Eggs is to keep checking the Rift machine and prepare the three pets it requests. Since the sacrifice consumes the submitted pets, avoid using your strongest mutated copies when a normal copy can satisfy the requirement.
You can also progress through Rift-related Boss Mastery. Reported milestones provide Rift Eggs, including Riftborn and Riftbeasts rewards, while the boss itself provides Boss Tokens that can be spent on Rift-related upgrades and consumables.
For Shattered Rift Eggs specifically, patience is important. The reported 20% rotation chance means this pool appears less frequently than Riftborn or Riftbeasts, and its Divine reward has an extremely low reported hatch chance.
Riftborn Egg
The Riftborn Egg is the first main Rift pool and contains five exclusive pets. It starts with Rift Eye at Legendary rarity and goes all the way to the Eternal World Eater. The current reported pool is:
- Legendary Rift Eye
- Mythic Voidmaw
- Cosmic Ventinal
- Secret Wendigo
- Eternal World Eater
Rift Eye has a reported base income of around 11K/s, while Voidmaw starts around 50K/s. Ventinal is the Cosmic option at around 585K/s, followed by Secret Wendigo at around 15M/s.
The top reward is World Eater, an Eternal pet with a reported base income of around 500M/s. These are baseline figures, so the actual income can be higher depending on the egg’s size and any mutation it receives.
Rift Eye
Rift Eye is the Legendary pet at the start of the Riftborn pool. It is one of the easier pets to obtain from this egg, but its income is much lower than the higher-rarity Rift rewards.
Voidmaw
Voidmaw is the Mythic Riftborn pet. It sits above Rift Eye and provides a noticeable improvement in income compared with the Legendary reward.
Ventinal
Ventinal is the Cosmic reward from the Riftborn Egg. With a reported baseline of around 585K/s, it becomes a much more useful pet for players who are still building their income.
Wendigo
Wendigo is the Secret pet in this pool and is a major jump over Ventinal. Its reported base income is around 15M/s, making it one of the more desirable Riftborn results.
World Eater
World Eater is the Eternal reward from Riftborn. It has a reported baseline income of around 500M/s and is the highest-rarity reward in this particular pool.
Riftbeasts Egg
The Riftbeasts Egg is the second major Rift pool. Its five pets are stronger overall, ending with the Eternal Void Serpent. The pool contains:
- Legendary Void Angler
- Mythic Riftwing
- Cosmic Dreadclaw
- Secret Mawbreaker
- Eternal Void Serpent
Void Angler has a reported base income of around 30K/s. Riftwing increases that to around 220K/s, while Cosmic Dreadclaw reaches approximately 2.2M/s.
Mawbreaker is the Secret reward with a reported base income of around 60M/s. The best reward is Void Serpent, an Eternal pet with a reported baseline of around 900M/s.
Void Angler
Void Angler is the Legendary entry for the Riftbeasts Egg. It is a relatively common result compared with the higher-tier creatures in the same pool.
Riftwing
Riftwing is the Mythic pet and provides a stronger income option than Void Angler.
Dreadclaw
Dreadclaw is the Cosmic reward from the Riftbeasts pool. Its reported baseline income is around 2.2M/s, putting it well above the lower-rarity rewards.
Mawbreaker
Mawbreaker is the Secret pet of the Riftbeasts Egg. Its reported income starts around 60M/s, making it a significant upgrade for players who manage to hatch one.
Void Serpent
Void Serpent is the Eternal reward and the strongest pet in the Riftbeasts pool. Its reported baseline income is around 900M/s, although a larger egg or mutation can push the displayed income considerably higher.
Shattered Rift Egg
The Shattered Rift Egg is the most valuable of the three main Rift pools because it is the only one that can produce the Divine Shattered Colossus.
Its five pets are:
- Mythic Shardling
- Cosmic Shattered Ram
- Secret Shardwing
- Eternal Shattered Drake
- Divine Shattered Colossus
Shardling is the lowest-rarity reward at Mythic, while Shattered Ram is Cosmic. The pool then jumps to Secret Shardwing, Eternal Shattered Drake, and finally the Divine Shattered Colossus.
Shardling
Shardling is the Mythic reward from the Shattered Rift Egg. Its reported baseline income is around 450K/s.
Shattered Ram
Shattered Ram is the Cosmic result and has a reported base income of approximately 8M/s. This makes it a solid result even when you miss the Secret, Eternal, or Divine rewards.
Shardwing
Shardwing is the Secret pet in the Shattered Rift pool. Its reported baseline income is around 145M/s, putting it well above the Cosmic Shattered Ram.
Shattered Drake
Shattered Drake is the Eternal reward. It has a reported base income of around 800M/s, making it one of the strongest Eternal pets connected to the Rift system.
Shattered Colossus
Shattered Colossus is the Divine jackpot of the Rift system. It is currently reported as the only Divine pet available from the three Rift Egg pools, with a base income of around 3.5B/s. Its reported hatch chance is only 0.5%, so getting one requires a lot of Rift Eggs and plenty of luck.
Abyss Overlord Egg
The Abyss Overlord Egg works differently from the three Rift machine eggs.
Instead of sacrificing three pets at the Rift machine, you obtain this reward by entering the Rift boss encounter and defeating the Abyss Overlord. The boss fight involves destroying the crystals powering the boss before attacking its vulnerable hand during the next phase.
The egg contains the Secret Abyss Overlord pet.
This means the Abyss Overlord Egg is especially important for players trying to complete their Rift collection because the pet is tied directly to the boss encounter rather than the normal Rift Egg pools.
The Rift boss also rewards Boss Tokens and Boss Mastery progress, giving players another reason to participate whenever the encounter appears. The boss event has been reported to occur every 30 minutes.
All Rift Eggs and Pets
For a quick overview, here is the complete list of the Rift-related eggs and their reported pets:

- Mythic Voidmaw
- Cosmic Ventinal
- Secret Wendigo

Abyss Overlord Egg
- Secret Abyss Overlord
The three main Rift Eggs each contain five exclusive pets, giving the Rift machine a total of 15 reported pets. The Abyss Overlord is separate because its egg comes from the boss encounter.
Which Rift Egg Is Best?
The Shattered Rift Egg is easily the most desirable pool if you are chasing the highest possible reward. It contains Shardling, Shattered Ram, Shardwing, Shattered Drake, and the Divine Shattered Colossus.
The main reason is simple: Shattered Colossus is currently the only Divine pet in the Rift pools. Its reported base income of 3.5B/s is also significantly higher than the top rewards from the other two pools.
However, Riftborn and Riftbeasts are still worth collecting. World Eater and Void Serpent are both Eternal pets, while Wendigo and Mawbreaker provide strong Secret-tier income.
Rift Eggs give Steal an Egg players a completely different way to build their collection. Instead of simply running through normal biomes, you need to manage pet sacrifices, follow the active Rift rotation, and participate in the Rift boss when it appears.
The three main pools are Riftborn, Riftbeasts, and Shattered Rift, with five pets inside each. Riftborn ends with World Eater, Riftbeasts ends with Void Serpent, and Shattered Rift has the biggest prize of them all: the Divine Shattered Colossus.
If you are aiming for the strongest Rift pets, prioritize Shattered Rift Eggs whenever their banner is active, but keep farming the other pools as well. Even the Secret and Eternal rewards can provide a huge boost to your income.
