Budling Companion Fisch Guide, How to Get!

Budling is one of the Companions you can get in Fisch, and it can be found in the Living Garden. Unlike regular items, you need to complete a small task with Budling before you can add it to your inventory. The Companion also has several useful passive effects that can help while fishing and farming seeds. Because of this, Budling can be a good addition if you spend a lot of time catching fish in Fisch. Here is how to find Budling, complete its quest, and unlock all of its passive effects.

How to Find Budling in Fisch

Budling can be found inside the Living Garden. It usually starts around the middle area of the location, close to the Moosewood Mirror.

  • The starting GPS location for Budling is: (-2430, -316, -2914)

Budling does not stay in one exact spot. It can walk around the Living Garden, so you may need to look around the area if you cannot find it immediately. The Companion is also easy to recognize. Budling has a blue flower on its head and carries a Cyan Seed in its hand. Once you find Budling, you can talk to it and start the process of getting the Companion.

How to Get Budling Companion

There is one important requirement before you can start Budling’s task. You need to have completed the Living Garden Bestiary at 100%. If your Living Garden Bestiary is not finished yet, you will need to catch all the required fish first. After reaching 100%, return to the Living Garden and find Budling.

When you speak with Budling, it will talk about the Cyan Seed it is carrying. Budling wants to plant the seed, and your job is to escort it to the planting area on the other side of the garden. The path can be a little tricky, so take your time during the escort.

  • First, head toward this GPS location: (-2295, -320, -2991)

At this location, you will find a large leaf bridge. Cross it to reach the central part of the Living Garden. From there, look for another brown trunk bridge. Cross the trunk bridge to reach the opposite side of the garden. After crossing the bridge, continue across the stone terrain until you reach the area where the seed can be planted.

  • There is one very important rule during this mission: do not touch the water.

If Budling touches the water during the escort, the quest will reset and you will have to start the entire task again.

You should also be aware that only one player can interact with Budling for this quest at a time. If another player on the server is already escorting Budling, you will need to wait until their task is finished before you can start yours. After successfully taking Budling to the planting area, you can complete the task and unlock the Companion.

Budling Companion Passives and Stats

Budling has several passive effects that can be useful for both fishing and farming. Its main passive is connected to catching Perfect Fish. Every time you successfully catch a Perfect Fish, Budling’s eyes will shine.

The shine becomes stronger as you catch more Perfect Fish. As the shine increases, Budling gives you a higher chance of avoiding unwanted items while fishing. This can help you avoid catching things such as:

  • Trash
  • Crates
  • Bait
  • Barrels
  • Other unwanted items

Budling also has a useful ability that works during nighttime. Normally, some fish have a preference for daytime and may be harder to catch when it is night.

With Budling equipped, you can still catch fish that prefer daytime luck during the night. This gives you more flexibility when trying to complete your collection or search for specific fish.

Another useful passive is related to planting seeds. Budling reduces the amount of time needed for seed planting by 50%.

This makes Budling useful beyond fishing, especially if you regularly farm seed products in Fisch.

Is Budling Worth Getting?

Budling can be a useful Companion if you spend time fishing and farming in Fisch. Its Perfect Fish passive can reduce the number of unwanted items you catch, while its nighttime ability gives you more chances to catch fish that normally prefer daytime.

The 50% reduction to seed planting is another reason to keep Budling around if you regularly use the game’s farming system. The main challenge is getting it. You first need to complete the Living Garden Bestiary, then safely escort Budling across the garden without letting it touch the water. Once you complete the task, however, Budling becomes a useful Companion with multiple passive effects.

Budling is one of the more useful Companions available in the Living Garden. Completing its unlock task takes some preparation because the Living Garden Bestiary must be at 100%. After that, you only need to escort Budling and its Cyan Seed to the planting area. Be careful around the water because touching it will reset the mission.

Once unlocked, Budling can help you catch more useful items, access daytime-preferred fish at night, and speed up seed planting by 50%. For players who regularly fish and farm in Fisch, it is a Companion worth adding to the collection.
