Aniimo has plenty of resources, but not all of them are easy to replace. Some materials can take a long time to collect, while others are connected to premium systems or rare upgrades. Spending them too early can leave you with fewer options when you finally find an Aniimo worth building. If you are still learning the game, it is better to treat these items as long-term resources. Here are 10 Aniimo items and currencies that you should think carefully about before using.
1. Prismatic Stones
Prismatic Stones are used to upgrade the Core Skill of a fully evolved Aniimo. Each eligible Aniimo can use this item once, and the upgrade can make a noticeable difference depending on the Core Skill.
Some upgrades can increase damage, while others provide additional utility that changes how useful an Aniimo can be in combat.
The problem is that Prismatic Stones are extremely rare. Because you only get limited opportunities to use them, avoid spending one on an Aniimo that you are not sure you will keep.
Your starter Aniimo can be a safer choice if you already plan to use it for a long time. Otherwise, wait until you have a creature that you are confident belongs in your main team.
2. Omnisource Crystals
Omnisource Crystals are used for Resonance, a progression system that improves the stats of your Aniimo. While Resonance requires several different materials, Omnisource Crystals are among the resources you should be most careful with.
They are difficult to replace, making them a poor choice for experimenting with random Aniimo.
There is some flexibility thanks to the Inheritance system. Resonance progress can be transferred between Aniimo from the same family. This means you can move your investment to a better-quality or Shiny version later instead of completely losing your progress.
Even with that option, it is still better to have a clear target before spending large amounts of Omnisource Crystals.
3. Star Sands and Star Essences
Star Sands and Star Essences are also used to improve Aniimo stats. Getting enough of these materials can take a considerable amount of time because much of the progression is tied to Energy.
Building one Aniimo to its desired level can require a large amount of Energy, potentially taking many days depending on your progress and available resources.
The good news is that these upgrades can also benefit from Inheritance. If you eventually replace an Aniimo with another version from the same family, your investment does not necessarily have to disappear.
There is another useful feature for lower-level Aniimo. Upgrade progress can be reset for Aniimo below Level 60, allowing the materials used for these upgrades to be returned.
Because of this, never release an upgraded Aniimo before checking whether you can transfer or reset its progress first.
4. Capability Fruits
Capability Fruits are used to improve the recommended base-stat potential of an Aniimo. These upgrades affect how high certain stats can eventually develop.
They are not common materials, and obtaining additional ones can be expensive. Some can be earned through limited sources, while others may require premium currency.
Because each Capability Fruit upgrade has a significant purpose, avoid using one simply because you have a new Aniimo.
Inheritance also makes these upgrades more flexible. If you later find a better version of the same Aniimo family, the investment can be transferred through the system instead of forcing you to start from zero.
5. Psyche Fruits
Psyche Fruits are premium items that allow you to randomly change an Aniimo’s personality. There are 16 different personalities, so getting the exact one you want can take multiple attempts. This makes Psyche Fruits especially easy to burn through if you keep rerolling without a clear reason.
Some Aniimo also have natural tendencies toward certain personalities. This means changing one into a personality that does not fit its natural tendency can take even more attempts. Before using Psyche Fruits, decide what personality you actually want and consider whether the change is worth the premium resource.
Do not keep rerolling just because the first result is not perfect. These items can disappear quickly when used without a plan.
6. Sparkling Cubes
Sparkling Cubes are among the most valuable items you can obtain in Aniimo. They can turn a caught or hatched Aniimo into a Perfect-potential Shiny. Because of their rarity and premium value, using one on a random Aniimo is usually something you should think about carefully.
One interesting use is with Alpha Eggs. Using a Sparkling Cube when hatching one can result in a Perfect Sparkling Alpha Aniimo, creating an extremely rare combination. They can also be considered for Prismana Aniimo or other rare targets where having a Shiny version provides extra value.
Umbral forms are a different case because Umbral Aniimo already have Perfect potential. You do not need a Sparkling Cube just to give them Perfect potential.
7. Aniipod Ultras
Aniipod Ultras are powerful capture items that guarantee an Elite-potential Aniimo or better under the relevant capture conditions. Because these are valuable, avoid using them on ordinary creatures that you could catch with standard Aniipods.
They make more sense for rare targets, including Prismana or Alpha encounters. If you encounter an Aniimo where getting a high-potential version is particularly important, an Aniipod Ultra can be worth using.
Umbral Aniimo are another special case. Since Umbral forms already have Perfect potential, the main value of an Aniipod Ultra there is the guaranteed successful capture rather than improving potential.
8. Prismana Orbs
Prismana Orbs are extremely rare items that allow you to transform an Aniimo into its Prismana form. There is an important requirement, however. You need to have already unlocked the corresponding Prismana before you can use the Orb for that transformation.
This makes Prismana Orbs particularly interesting when combined with other rare features.
For example, you could hatch an Alpha Egg and use a Sparkling Cube to create a Perfect Sparkling Alpha. If you have the required Prismana unlocked, a Prismana Orb can then be used to turn that Aniimo into its Prismana version.
Combining rare traits like Perfect potential, Sparkling, Alpha, and Prismana can create some of the rarest Aniimo combinations, so do not spend Prismana Orbs casually.
9. Glimmer
Glimmer is one of the main premium currencies in Aniimo. New players may feel like they have plenty of it during the early stages because progression rewards can provide a noticeable amount. That early supply can be misleading. Once you finish many of the available quests and achievements, the amount of Glimmer you receive through normal gameplay can become much smaller.
For that reason, try not to spend your entire balance simply because you have a large amount during the beginning of the game. A temporary event or exclusive item could eventually give you a reason to save it. One possible use is buying a Morph Orb when you specifically want to change the form of a Perfect-potential Aniimo.
Other shop items may be useful depending on your situation, but there is no need to buy everything just because you can afford it.
10. Lumin Crystals
Lumin Crystals are an even more limited premium currency. Unlike resources that can be earned regularly through normal gameplay, Lumin Crystals may have much fewer free sources.
Their main uses can include exclusive cosmetics and items such as Sparkling Cubes. Because of their premium nature, it is worth keeping a reserve instead of spending them immediately.
If you eventually need Lumin Crystals for a limited item, having some already saved can be much more useful than having spent everything earlier.
Do not assume that future supplies will be generous. Save them for something you genuinely want rather than using them on an impulse purchase.
How to Avoid Wasting Rare Resources
The easiest way to manage these items is to avoid upgrading every Aniimo you catch. Early in the game, you will probably find plenty of creatures that look useful, but that does not mean each one needs expensive materials.
Before using a rare resource, ask yourself a few questions:
- Is this Aniimo part of my long-term team?
- Can the upgrade be transferred later?
- Can the material be recovered through a reset?
- Is there a rarer target that would benefit more from this item?
- Is the upgrade actually needed right now?
- Is this a limited or premium resource?
If you are unsure about an expensive upgrade, keeping the item in your inventory is usually safer than spending it immediately.
Aniimo gives you plenty of ways to improve your creatures, but some upgrades are much harder to replace than others. Prismatic Stones, Omnisource Crystals, Capability Fruits, Sparkling Cubes, Aniipod Ultras, and Prismana Orbs should all be treated as long-term resources. The same goes for Glimmer and Lumin Crystals. Having a large balance early in the game does not mean you will always receive the same amount later.
Build your main team first, learn how Inheritance and upgrade resets work, and save rare materials for Aniimo that you are confident about. This approach gives you much more freedom when you eventually find a rare, high-quality, or Shiny creature worth investing in.
