Slayers 2 Blood Demon Arts Tier List
Becoming a Demon in Slayers 2 unlocks Blood Demon Arts, giving your character access to abilities that can completely change how you fight. Some Arts are built around close-range attacks, while others focus on ranged damage, battlefield control, mobility, or setting up enemies for follow-up attacks.
This Slayers 2 Blood Demon Arts tier list ranks the currently available Arts based on their overall combat value. Damage, mobility, combo potential, utility, PvE performance, PvP pressure, and how easily opponents can punish each ability are all considered when determining their placement.
Slayers 2 Demon Arts Tier List
The current Blood Demon Art rankings are divided into S, A, and B tiers. Ice Manipulation and Blood Manipulation currently occupy S Tier, while Dream Manipulation, Reaper, and Shockwave are placed in A Tier. Arrow, Explosive Blood, Obi Manipulation, and Tamari are currently in B Tier.
- S Tier: Ice Manipulation, Blood Manipulation
- A Tier: Shockwave, Dream Manipulation, Reaper
- B Tier: Tamari, Arrow, Obi Manipulation, Explosive Blood
- C Tier: None currently
These rankings focus on the complete usefulness of each Art instead of simply looking at the biggest damage number shown in a showcase. An ability that is easy to confirm, difficult to punish, or useful at multiple ranges can be more valuable than an attack that deals huge damage but takes a long time to activate.
S Tier Blood Demon Arts
S Tier is reserved for Blood Demon Arts that currently offer exceptional combat options. These Arts either have strong tools across multiple situations or provide a specific advantage that can be extremely difficult for opponents to deal with.
Ice Manipulation
Ice Manipulation, also known as Cryokinesis, is currently one of the most complete Blood Demon Arts in Slayers 2. It combines area attacks, ranged pressure, close-range catches, freezing effects, and crowd control. Because the kit can adapt to different distances, Ice is useful for both PvE encounters and PvP battles.
- Best for: Hybrid builds, grouped enemies, PvP control
- Difficulty: High
- Main strengths: AoE, control, range, catches
- Core moves: Wintery Icicles, Cold White Princesses, Barren Hanging Garden, Freezing Cloud, Bodhisattva
- Suggested synergy: Douma and Shabana
Wintery Icicles can create an attack zone that you can play around rather than immediately chasing the enemy. Its second input causes spikes to appear beneath the target, giving you another opportunity to punish movement.
Cold White Princesses is one of the most important abilities in the kit. It can reposition into a restraint and freeze, while also offering a different interaction during activation. Barren Hanging Garden and Freezing Cloud provide additional options when fighting at different ranges.
Douma can complement Ice with defensive mobility. Speed & Reflex allows you to return to a placed clone while clearing stun or knockdown effects, while Extrasensory Perception can dodge three incoming attacks. These are Douma abilities, however, and should not be treated as innate Ice defenses.
Ice’s biggest weakness is its execution requirement. Picking the wrong version of an attack or using an ability at the wrong distance can ruin the setup. Bosses may also behave differently from players, so PvP freeze and control effects should not automatically be assumed to work the same way against every boss.
Blood Manipulation
Blood Manipulation, also known as Blood Sickle, is another S Tier option with particularly strong potential for PvE and coordinated boss fights. The current move information is incomplete, but its repeated-hit attacks and ability to work alongside allied attacks give it a strong foundation.
- Best for: PvE, group boss fights, coordinated combat
- Difficulty: Moderate, estimated
- Main strengths: Sustained offense, repeated hits, team damage
- Core moves: Full kit currently TBA
- Suggested synergy: Shabana and Sickle
Blood Manipulation is especially interesting when multiple players are attacking the same target. Its potential comes from creating damage windows where teammates can continue contributing instead of simply relying on one large attack.
Shabana is a useful clan pairing because Core Detachment creates a team buff area, while Siblings Bond rewards staying close to allies. Both abilities fit a coordinated group strategy and can help maintain pressure during longer encounters.
There is an important distinction with poison effects. Shabana’s Poison Generation can add stacking percentage-Max-Health poison to M1 attacks, but that does not mean Blood Manipulation skills automatically deal percentage-based damage. Boss resistances, caps, and immunities can also affect how useful poison becomes.
Blood Manipulation remains a provisional S Tier recommendation because several move-level details still need confirmation. Exact skill names, recovery times, guard interactions, and reliable combo routes are not fully established, so its current ranking should not be treated as proof that every attack is safe or unavoidable.
A Tier Blood Demon Arts
A Tier Arts are strong choices that can perform extremely well when used correctly. They may lack some of the flexibility of S Tier options or require more specific situations to reach their full potential.
Shockwave
Shockwave is a versatile Blood Demon Art that combines ranged pressure, counters, burst attacks, and movement. It can transition from distance-based attacks into melee pressure, giving experienced players several ways to start an engagement.
- Best for: Hybrid builds and reactive melee combat
- Difficulty: High
- Main strengths: Counters, burst, mobility, ranged-to-melee pressure
- Core moves: Air Type, Compass Needle, Explosive Fury, Flashing Willow, Annihilation Type
- Variant: Chaotic Afterglow
- Suggested synergy: Soyama and Kamado
Air Type becomes especially useful after a ranged hit connects because it can turn that successful attack into a teleport follow-up. The important part is that the first attack must actually land, so it should not be treated as free tracking or guaranteed pursuit.
Compass Needle gives Shockwave another defensive option. Correctly reading an opponent’s attack can trigger a counter that launches into Crown Splitter. This should be kept separate from Soyama’s Bell Splitter, which is another counter supplied by the clan.
Several abilities also change based on how they are used. Explosive Fury has tap and hold options, Flashing Willow changes depending on height, and Annihilation Type changes according to distance. Chaotic Afterglow adds another option after Compass Needle, increasing the number of decisions a player has to make.
Soyama adds further offensive value through Combat Intuition, which stores damage dealt for a later bonus. Bell Splitter provides another counter opportunity, although failing the stance prevents attacks for two seconds while still allowing blocking and dashing.
Shockwave remains A Tier because many of its strongest options require good timing. Counters depend on the opponent committing to an attack, while charged approaches still need a suitable opening.
Dream Manipulation
Dream Manipulation is a control-focused Blood Demon Art designed around positioning, zoning, and setting up enemies. Rather than constantly chasing a target, Dream users can establish threats in specific areas and force opponents to think about where they move.
- Best for: PvP and controlled group fights
- Difficulty: High
- Main strengths: Zoning, setup, control
- Core moves: Melodic Whisper, Ordained Flesh, Piercing Flesh, Flesh Barrage, Flesh Monster
- Suggested synergy: Douma and Shabana
Melodic Whisper has two different functions depending on distance. From range, it uses a projectile sequence that includes a slow, while nearby use turns it into a sleep pulse. This gives Dream players different ways to create an opening.
Ordained Flesh can establish a firing source, while Piercing Flesh rewards accurate cursor placement with a grab. Flesh Barrage and Flesh Monster add more area-based threats, making it harder for opponents to move freely through the battlefield.
Douma works well with this setup-focused approach because Speed & Reflex can create a return point through a placed clone. Shabana can also be useful when fighting with teammates, allowing players to coordinate around a shared buff area.
The biggest problem with Dream is that its effectiveness depends heavily on positioning. Poor aim can waste an important catch, while a rapidly moving battle can leave your setup behind. Boss interactions with sleep and grab effects also remain uncertain, so the strong PvP control should not automatically be translated into top-tier boss damage.
Reaper
Reaper is designed for players who prefer aggressive movement and close-range pressure. Its abilities provide multiple ways to approach enemies, including ground-based attacks, aerial movement, and repositioning tools.
- Best for: PvP and aggressive pursuit
- Difficulty: Moderate with a high skill ceiling
- Main strengths: Mobility, close combat, aerial attacks
- Core moves: Reap of Despair, Diving Punch, Shindo, Phantom Step, Shindo Shrine
- Suggested synergy: Soyama and Kamado
Reap of Despair changes depending on your position. On the ground, it moves forward into an attack and knockdown, while the airborne version uses rotating slashes. Diving Punch gives you another way to attack from above, making vertical positioning important when playing Reaper.
Phantom Step can finish by sending an opponent away, which can be useful when you need to create space. However, the knockback also changes the distance between you and your target, so immediately trying to continue your attack may not always be the right choice.
Shindo Shrine also requires its initial approach to connect before the finisher can begin. Soyama rewards successful offensive pressure through Combat Intuition, while Kamado provides another close-range option through guard disruption and short-term regeneration.
Reaper’s main weakness is overcommitting. Using every movement skill simply to chase an opponent can leave you without options during the next exchange. It has a clear PvP identity, but its exact farming efficiency and cooldown loops are not enough to establish it as a universal PvE choice.
B Tier Blood Demon Arts
B Tier does not mean these Arts are unusable. Each one can still perform well in specific situations, especially when the player understands the strengths and weaknesses of the moveset. Their main difference from the higher tiers is that they generally require more specialized conditions or have more noticeable limitations.
Tamari
Tamari, also called Temari, focuses on ranged attacks, projectile pressure, and resource management. It is particularly interesting for players who prefer fighting from a distance and carefully controlling when they spend their stamina.
- Best for: Ranged PvE and specialist PvP
- Difficulty: Moderate
- Main strengths: Projectiles, slows, ranged pressure, stamina recovery
- Core moves: Spinning Throw, Tamari Dunk, Piercing Kick, Tamari Meteor, Spiraling Shot
- Suggested synergy: Susumaru and Yahaba
Spinning Throw provides useful utility because tapping it applies a slow when it hits. Holding the ability produces a larger volley, although spending additional time preparing the attack also means you need to find a safe opening.
Tamari Dunk creates a stun-and-explosion sequence, while Piercing Kick can provide another input after successfully hitting the enemy. Spiraling Shot moves the victim away, so you should consider where the opponent will end up instead of automatically assuming another melee attack can follow.
Susumaru improves Tamari’s resource management. Successfully landing a Tamari skill restores 5% of Max Stamina and provides a short damage bonus. This can help maintain pressure during longer encounters, although the effect should not be assumed to trigger separately for every individual projectile.
Accuracy is the biggest concern. Missing an aimed attack can remove both its immediate damage and its potential follow-up or clan benefit. Tamari Meteor also depends on cursor placement, making fast-moving PvP opponents particularly challenging.
Arrow Manipulation
Arrow Manipulation focuses on controlling distance and enemy positioning. Its ability to change elevation can be useful in coordinated fights, but the slower setup makes it more difficult to use against players who constantly pressure you.
- Best for: PvE spacing and coordinated control
- Difficulty: High
- Main strengths: Displacement, range, aerial positioning
- Core moves: Arrow Flight, Arrow Eruption
- Suggested synergy: Yahaba
Arrow Flight provides a different way to approach encounters by changing your elevation and positioning. However, aerial movement should not automatically be considered complete protection from melee attacks or proof of permanent safety.
Arrow’s displacement abilities are more valuable when used with teammates. Moving an enemy into a specific location can create an opening, but poor coordination can also push the target away from an ally’s attack.
Yahaba can improve the resource side of the build. Arrow Regen increases stamina regeneration after an Arrow skill lands, while Disruption Pulse provides nearby knockback and debuffs.
Arrow’s performance can also depend heavily on the enemy. If a boss or target resists displacement, a large part of the Art’s utility becomes less effective. Because of this, it is currently better suited to planned encounters than highly reactive PvP fights.
Obi Manipulation
Obi Manipulation is currently viewed as a specialist PvP option. Its biggest potential comes from mix-ups and giving opponents multiple threats to consider, although the full move information is still incomplete.
- Best for: PvP and dueling
- Difficulty: High, estimated
- Main strengths: Mix-ups and specialist pressure
- Core moves: TBA
- Suggested synergy: Shabana and Douma
The main goal with Obi is to create situations where an opponent has to respect more than one possible attack. A mix-up becomes valuable when the enemy cannot simply defend against one predictable option every time.
However, several important mechanics still need to be confirmed, including guard breaks, grab behavior, attack cancellations, and reliable combo routes. Without those details, it would be difficult to claim that Obi has a guaranteed sequence against experienced players.
Shabana provides useful group support through Siblings Bond and Core Detachment. Douma offers a more defensive approach, allowing a player to recover their position through a clone return.
Obi remains in B Tier as a cautious placement. Experienced players may find significantly more value in the Art than the general ranking suggests, but the missing information around its current moveset makes a higher placement difficult to justify.
Explosive Blood
Explosive Blood, also known as Blood Burst, focuses on conditional burst damage. It can be effective when an opponent is already vulnerable, but parts of the kit provide opponents with opportunities to escape through blocking or dashing.
- Best for: Punishing exposed targets
- Difficulty: Moderate, estimated
- Main strengths: Burst damage and punish opportunities
- Core moves: TBA
- Suggested synergy: Kamado
The best way to approach Explosive Blood is to wait for an opening instead of throwing every attack out immediately. An exposed opponent or a target already affected by an ally’s control can provide a better opportunity for the Art to deal its damage.
Visual effects and large explosions should not automatically be interpreted as guaranteed lingering hitboxes, guard breaks, or uninterrupted combos. The exact behavior of the individual skills is still important when determining how reliable the Art is.
Kamado can provide another opening through Headbutt. The attack knocks an enemy down and disrupts its guard for three seconds. Whether a particular Explosive Blood attack can consistently fit into that window depends on the attack’s startup and the target’s recovery.
Because some important skill details remain unconfirmed, Explosive Blood stays in B Tier. Its current placement should not be used as evidence that the Art has innate lifesteal, self-damage mechanics, or percentage-health explosions.
How the Blood Demon Arts Are Ranked
The tier list considers the complete combat package rather than focusing on one impressive ability. An Art with slightly lower damage can still rank highly if it provides reliable catches, strong mobility, useful defensive options, or attacks that are difficult to punish.
The main factors considered are:
- Damage potential
- Combo potential
- Mobility
- Range
- Crowd control
- Utility
- PvE performance
- PvP performance
- Ease of confirming attacks
- How easy attacks are to punish
- Synergy with useful clans and weapons
S Tier represents Arts with particularly strong overall tools or clear advantages in important combat situations. A Tier includes excellent Arts that are more specialized or have meaningful limitations. B Tier is used for viable options that currently have more noticeable weaknesses.
The rankings are also based on available kit information rather than measured win rates. A move’s internal follow-up should not automatically be called a true combo across multiple skills. Stuns, knockback, blocking, block-dashing, recovery time, and escape windows can all change how a sequence works in an actual fight.
Choosing a Clan and Spending Skill Points
Your Blood Demon Art is only one part of your overall Slayers 2 build. Clan abilities can significantly change how an Art performs, so choosing a clan that complements your preferred combat style can be just as important as picking the Art itself.
For example, Douma works naturally with builds that benefit from defensive repositioning and placed clones. Shabana is more useful for players who frequently fight near teammates, while Soyama rewards consistent offensive pressure and counter-based gameplay.
When spending skill points, avoid building around an untested damage rotation. It is usually more useful to understand how your main abilities function first, then invest toward the parts of the build that improve the way you actually play.
A ranged Blood Demon Art may benefit more from resources and positioning, while an aggressive melee Art may get more value from mobility, stamina management, or defensive options. The best setup depends on how you intend to use the character.
What Is the Best Demon Art in Slayers 2?
Ice Manipulation currently has the broadest overall toolkit among the ranked Blood Demon Arts. Its combination of area control, catches, freezing, range options, and PvP utility makes it useful in a wide variety of encounters.
Blood Manipulation is also placed in S Tier, particularly because of its potential for sustained damage and coordinated boss fights. However, its current placement has more uncertainty because the complete move-level details are not yet available.
For PvP specialists, Shockwave, Dream Manipulation, and Reaper each provide different approaches. Shockwave focuses on counters and burst, Dream is centered around zoning and setup, while Reaper rewards players who like aggressive movement and close-range pressure.
Best Blood Demon Arts by Playstyle
Different players will get more value from different Arts depending on what they want to do in Slayers 2.
- Best all-round option: Ice Manipulation
- Best for group PvE: Blood Manipulation
- Best for counters: Shockwave
- Best for zoning: Dream Manipulation
- Best for aggressive PvP: Reaper
- Best for ranged pressure: Tamari
- Best for displacement: Arrow Manipulation
- Best for specialist dueling: Obi Manipulation
- Best for burst opportunities: Explosive Blood
These categories are based on the primary strengths of each kit rather than an overall ranking. An Art listed as a specialist choice can still be extremely effective when used in the situation it was designed for.
The current Slayers 2 Blood Demon Arts tier list puts Ice Manipulation and Blood Manipulation in S Tier, with Shockwave, Dream Manipulation, and Reaper following in A Tier. Tamari, Arrow Manipulation, Obi Manipulation, and Explosive Blood are currently B Tier, while no Arts need a C Tier placement yet.
The most important thing is to match your Blood Demon Art to the way you actually play. Ice provides broad control and flexibility, Blood Manipulation suits coordinated damage, Shockwave rewards reactions, Dream controls space, and Reaper favors aggressive movement. As more mechanics are tested and Slayers 2 receives updates, these rankings can change alongside the game’s meta.
