Return to the Cave With the Mushroom Lantern
Once you have obtained the Mushroom Lantern, go back into the cave while wearing it. This time, the lantern reveals something that was previously hidden.
Look around the cave floor and you should notice a set of secret footsteps. These tracks create a path that leads you toward the location where the Firstlight Tanto is buried.
Follow the footsteps carefully. The trail eventually takes you toward a snowy area where the shovel becomes necessary.
Dig Up the Firstlight Tanto
When you reach the end of the hidden trail, you will find the spot containing the Firstlight Tanto. This is where the shovel you obtained earlier becomes important.
Equip your shovel and interact with the designated spot in the snow to dig it up. After completing the interaction, you can obtain the Firstlight Tanto schematic and continue toward crafting the weapon.
The process is similar to the method used for obtaining the War Fans, where a hidden route eventually leads to an item that must be dug up.

Finding the buried item is not necessarily the end of the process. Once you have obtained the Firstlight Tanto schematic, you can use it to craft the weapon through the appropriate crafting system.
