Goku is a new Power added to Lineage Piece, and unlocking him requires several steps before you can summon the boss. Unlike normal Fruits, Goku is a Power, meaning you will replace your current Fruit when you obtain him.
The first thing you need to do is prepare the new Saiyan race and complete the Key Shard questline. After that, you can collect the materials needed to summon the Goku boss and defeat him for the required drops. Here is the full process for getting Goku in Lineage Piece.
Get the Saiyan Race
The new Saiyan race is a Mythical race that has been added to the Race Rolls NPC. Since Goku is a Power, having the Saiyan race is useful because it provides a Power-related buff. To roll for Saiyan, travel to Lineage Town and interact with the Race Rolls NPC. Keep rolling until you obtain the new Mythical Saiyan race. You should ideally do this before starting the Goku obtainment quest so you can prepare your character at the same time.
Complete the Key Shard Questline
Next, travel to the Keyhard NPC in Legends Arena. This NPC gives you a short questline that unlocks your ability to obtain Key Shards. Most of the tasks involve using a Fruit, with Light being particularly useful for completing them. It is recommended to get the Light Fruit before starting this part of the process.
Deal 2 Million Damage
The first task requires you to deal a total of 2 million damage using any Fruit. You can complete this by fighting a boss with a large health pool. Spawn an Extreme boss or another enemy with enough HP and use your Fruit to reach the required damage. Once you have dealt 2 million damage, return to the quest and move on to the next objective.
Use 150 Light Skills
The second task requires you to use Light Fruit skills 150 times. Light already has relatively short cooldowns, making this task fairly easy. If you want to speed things up, you can also use cooldown-related cards in Simulated Sea to reduce the waiting time between abilities. Keep using the Light skills until the counter reaches 150.
Defeat 50 Hard or Extreme Bosses
The final Key Shard quest requires you to defeat 50 Hard or Extreme bosses while using the Light Fruit. You do not necessarily need to deal all the damage with Light. Instead, you can weaken the boss with your weapons or other abilities and then finish the enemy using the Light Fruit. Repeat this until you have defeated 50 qualifying bosses. After completing the task, you will unlock the ability to collect Key Shards.
How to Get Key Shards
Key Shards are obtained from chests found around the islands in Lineage Piece. The chest locations are generally near the starting areas of the islands, although some islands can have multiple chests. Keep checking the island areas carefully if you do not find one immediately. There are two important types of chests:
- Normal Chest — Can give 1 Key Shard.
- Mimic Chest — Can give 2 Key Shards.
Because the rewards are chance-based, you may need to open several chests before collecting enough Key Shards for the next step. Once you have gathered the required amount, you can use them to prepare the Goku boss summon.
Summon the Goku Boss
After collecting enough Key Shards and the other required materials, head to the Boss Spawner. Use the materials to summon the Goku boss and prepare for the fight. Defeating the boss is important because it can drop the materials needed to obtain Goku.
The boss also has additional rewards, including a new accessory and title. Keep farming the boss until you have collected everything required for the Goku obtainment. Once you have all the necessary drops, you can finally claim Goku as your new Power.
Goku Power Moves
Goku comes with four base moves, including a flight ability. The moves are built around the character’s familiar abilities and give the Power a mix of combat and mobility options. The animations also give Goku a distinct style compared with standard Fruits and Powers. Since Goku is classified as a Power, remember that obtaining him will replace your current Fruit.
How to Get Goku Mastery
After obtaining Goku, you can work toward unlocking his Mastery. To begin, find the Super Saiyan Goku NPC and interact with them. This starts another questline specifically related to Goku’s Mastery. One of the major requirements involves defeating Goku on Hard or Extreme difficulty.
The Goku boss can drop Namek Keys, which are needed to access the Namek Dungeon. For the Mastery quest, you need to clear the Namek Dungeon on Hard or Extreme difficulty. The dungeon consists of two main waves:
- The first wave contains regular mobs.
- The second wave features Super Saiyan Goku.
Clear both waves to complete this part of the Mastery requirement.
Collect the Mastery Materials
After completing the Namek Dungeon requirement, return to the Super Saiyan Goku NPC. You will then need to provide another set of materials to finish the Mastery quest. Some of these materials are exclusive to the Namek Dungeon, so you may need to run the dungeon several times.
Collect everything requested by the NPC and return once you have the full set. After turning in the materials, you can complete the Goku Mastery progression.
Goku Transformation and Damage
One of the standout parts of Goku is his transformation. The Power includes a classic transformation mode that provides a damage boost. Goku also has a Spirit Bomb-style ability. The concept fits the character well, although the visual effect may feel simpler compared with some of the other high-level abilities in the game.
The Power also introduces a new modifier for Powers, adding another way to build around its abilities. Keep in mind that Powers cannot currently be enchanted, so your build choices will mainly come from your equipment, modifiers, accessories, titles, and other available bonuses.
Goku Build and Damage Testing
Goku works particularly well with a Power-focused setup. For testing its damage, you can combine the Power with Mythical Artifacts along with Goku’s accessory and title bonuses. This setup allows you to see the full potential of the Power rather than testing it without additional buffs. The final damage will depend on your build, equipment, modifiers, and other character bonuses, so your numbers may be different from other players.
Goku is one of the more involved Powers to obtain in Lineage Piece because you first need to unlock Key Shard farming, collect the required materials, summon the Goku boss, and then farm its drops. Once everything is complete, you will have access to Goku and can start building around his transformation, damage boost, flight, and other abilities.
