How to Get the Blunderbuss Glove in Slap Battles Roblox Guide
Slap Battles has added a new weapon-themed glove called Blunderbuss, giving players another powerful option to use in chaotic slap fights. The glove has 52 Power and 15 Speed, while its Heavy Weaponry ability revolves around firing and recovering cannonballs for additional attacks.
Getting Blunderbuss is not as simple as spending Slaps on a glove. You first need to meet several requirements and complete a multi-wave challenge involving R15 Ammo. The challenge can become chaotic, especially in public servers, so bringing a friend can make the process much easier.
Blunderbuss Glove Requirements
Before you can unlock Blunderbuss, you need to obtain the It’s Hip to Be Square badge. This badge has its own requirements, meaning you cannot immediately head over and claim the new glove.
Here are the main requirements:
- Obtain the Shotgun Glove.
- Have at least 50,000 Slaps to unlock Shotgun.
- Obtain the It’s Hip to Be Square badge.
- Purchase R15 Ammo.
- Complete the special enemy wave challenge.
The biggest requirement for new players is the Shotgun Glove, since it requires 50,000 Slaps. Once you have Shotgun, you can move on to the badge challenge needed for Blunderbuss.
How to Get R15 Ammo

Once you have the required glove, head toward the tree area on the island. There you can find the Ammo Merchant, which sells the ammunition needed for the challenge.
Look for R15 Rounds and purchase them before starting the challenge. These rounds are specifically used to defeat the enemies that appear during the badge objective.
It is recommended to prepare everything before starting because the challenge contains multiple enemy waves. Running out of ammunition or getting overwhelmed can make the process much harder.
How to Complete the Blunderbuss Badge Challenge
After purchasing the R15 Ammo, make your way to the challenge area. Several bots will appear with health indicators above them, and you need to shoot them using the R15 ammunition.
Most of the normal bots require three shots to defeat. Fortunately, the ammunition can damage multiple enemies when they are grouped together, so try to target clusters instead of shooting enemies individually whenever possible.
The challenge becomes increasingly difficult as more enemies appear. For this reason, a private server is recommended because public servers can become extremely chaotic when other players are moving around the area.
Defeat Every Wave
The challenge contains multiple waves of enemies. The first waves mainly consist of regular bots, but the final wave introduces a much more dangerous enemy.
A large brute can appear during the final wave and should be your main priority. This enemy can deal enough damage to eliminate you with a single attack, so keeping your distance is extremely important.
Try to follow these tips:
- Shoot groups of enemies whenever possible.
- Keep moving instead of standing in one position.
- Save enough ammunition for later waves.
- Focus the brute as soon as it appears.
- Avoid getting surrounded.
- Use a private server to reduce outside interference.
- Bring a friend with Guardian Angel if possible.
Once all of the waves have been cleared, the It’s Hip to Be Square badge should be awarded. You can then return to the glove area and access Blunderbuss.
Blunderbuss Stats and Ability
Blunderbuss comes with 52 Power and 15 Speed, making it a relatively powerful glove that sacrifices some speed for its unique weapon mechanics.
Its main ability is called Heavy Weaponry. The ability allows you to fire a cannonball and interact with the projectile after it has been launched.
One of the most important mechanics is the ability to recover the cannonball using the glove’s suction effect. However, you need to click at the correct moment to collect a rebound shot. If you fail to click, the projectile will not be recovered.
How to Use the Blunderbuss Combo
The cannonball recovery mechanic gives Blunderbuss some interesting combo potential. After hitting another player, you can use the suction mechanic to recover the projectile and fire it again.
This means a successful first hit can potentially lead into another attack. Players who are accurate with their shots can create strong combinations and even find opportunities for multiple hits.
The glove can also produce situations where a player is hit more than once during a single sequence. However, Blunderbuss requires good positioning and timing, so simply activating the ability without a plan can leave you vulnerable.
Fighting Another Blunderbuss User
Blunderbuss also has an interesting interaction when two players are using the glove against each other. Their cannonball attacks can interact and cause the projectiles to rebound instead of behaving like a normal attack.
Because of this, fighting another Blunderbuss player requires a slightly different approach. You cannot always rely on the same projectile combo because the opponent can interfere with your attack.
Best Way to Unlock Blunderbuss
The easiest way to make the badge challenge more manageable is to use a private server with a friend. Public servers can make the challenge much more difficult because of the number of players and distractions around the area.
A friend using Guardian Angel can also provide additional protection during the challenge. This gives you more room to focus on shooting the bots instead of constantly worrying about being eliminated.
Once you understand the enemy waves and know when the brute appears, the challenge becomes much more manageable.
Static Glove Rework
The update also includes a major rework for Static. The glove now has new visual effects, with some of the effects being available when using graphics settings of 7 or higher.
A new bar has also been added to show the amount of corruption affecting a player. Static’s R ability has received mechanical changes as well, including an explosion that no longer directly applies corruption.
Targets affected by the explosion can instead receive orbs around them. These orbs prevent the affected player from using their E and R abilities. The orbs can be removed by slapping another player.
The R ability also adds a distortion ring effect when it hits a player, giving Static a more noticeable visual identity during combat.
Piñata Mastery Changes
Piñata Mastery has received several buffs in the same update. The amount of candy required for Sugar Rush has been reduced from 12 to 10, making the ability easier to activate.
The update also adds a visual bar showing how much time remains during Sugar Rush. Other improvements include:
- Sugar Rush requirement reduced from 12 candy to 10.
- A duration bar has been added.
- Timer increased to 10 seconds.
- Uptime increased to 25 seconds.
- Walk Speed increased to 30.
- Power increased to 55.
These changes give Piñata Mastery considerably more utility than before.
Be The Glove Recovery Buff
Be The Glove has also received a recovery improvement. Players using this glove can now recover 150% faster in all situations.
This is particularly useful after being knocked away or hit by another player. The faster recovery allows users to return to the fight much sooner instead of spending a long time recovering.
Necromancer Zombie Changes
Necromancer now handles zombies differently. Previously, players who died under certain circumstances could automatically become zombies.
The new system gives the dead player a short three-second prompt asking whether they want to become a zombie. Choosing Yes turns the player into a zombie as expected.
If the player chooses No or allows the timer to expire, an AI-controlled zombie is created instead. This means Necromancer still receives a zombie, while the defeated player is no longer forced to participate.
The new AI zombies can be slapped and have some basic movement behavior. They will avoid simply walking off the edge of the map, although they are not always capable of crossing bridges correctly.
Blink Changes and Speed Variants
Blink has also received a change involving its clone mechanic. Previously, players had a one-second delay before they could slap again after becoming visible.
The new system is intended to allow the player to immediately slap if someone attacks their clone. However, the change may still require additional fixes if it does not work correctly in-game.
Several speed variants have also been removed from the game:
- Eggar Plus Speed
- 64
- Elf
- Pogo
- Stalker
Other Bug Fixes
Several existing problems have been fixed as part of the update. These changes affect multiple gloves and abilities across Slap Battles.
The update includes fixes for:
- Materialize freezing the player after activation.
- Kinetic’s badge being unobtainable.
- Lasso physics.
- Pool Noodle counting some Slaps twice.
- Paint’s ability not functioning correctly.
- Rogike and its Mastery causing serious server issues.
- Static visual effects appearing incorrectly on some players.
- Static’s screen effect remaining active until the player died.
These fixes should make several older gloves more reliable during normal gameplay.
Blunderbuss is one of the more involved gloves to unlock because players need to own Shotgun, reach the 50,000 Slap requirement, obtain the It’s Hip to Be Square badge, and then complete the R15 Ammo challenge.
The best approach is to complete the challenge in a private server with a friend, especially if someone can use Guardian Angel to provide additional protection. Once you have the glove, its Heavy Weaponry ability gives you access to cannonball attacks and a unique recovery mechanic that can lead to powerful combos.
The update also adds a Static rework, Piñata Mastery buffs, Necromancer changes, Blink adjustments, several bug fixes, and the first major Halloween decorations. This makes the update more than just a new glove release, with plenty of changes for both new and veteran Slap Battles players.
