Divine Throne: Idle RPG Tier List, Best Unit to Use
Building the right team is one of the most important parts of Divine Throne: Idle RPG. With four different factions and more than 30 characters covering DPS, Tank, and Support roles, choosing the right units can make a big difference in both PvE and PvP content.
Some characters are useful in almost any team, while others only become effective when paired with specific units or upgraded to higher star levels. This Divine Throne tier list ranks the available characters from S to C based on their damage, skills, faction synergy, team flexibility, and performance in different game modes.
S Tier Units in Divine Throne
S Tier characters are the units that can have a major impact on a team. They either provide extremely high damage, powerful support, or mechanics that remain useful across different types of content.
Zeus — Olympus Divine
Zeus is one of the strongest choices for players looking for a powerful damage carry. Her Martial Saint ultimate can deal huge single-target burst damage, and killing the target allows Zeus to immediately perform another basic attack.
Her Martial Saint passive can also stack up to 10 times, giving her a total 30% damage increase when fully stacked. Zeus also has direct synergy with Poseidon, providing a 15% attack bonus when the two are used together.
Her ability to chain kills into additional attacks makes her especially dangerous when facing enemies with multiple HP bars.
Best for:
- PvE carry
- Boss DPS
- PvP
- Late-game content
- Multi-enemy clearing
Lucifer — Blasphemous Pact
Lucifer has a very different playstyle because he does not rely on a normal active ultimate. Instead, he builds Rage and uses it to increase the damage of his basic attacks.
With enough Rage and proper support, Lucifer can gain up to 200% bonus damage on basic attacks. This allows him to deliver extremely strong single-target hits without needing to spend his Rage immediately.
He is also frequently included in recommended team formations, making him one of the more flexible high-end damage dealers.
Best for:
- Boss battles
- Single-target damage
- Burst damage
- PvP
Freyja — Ragnarok Legion
Freyja is a powerful AoE magic DPS character who specializes in clearing groups of enemies. Her River Goddess ultimate hits every enemy at the same time and provides extremely high magic damage.
As a Core DPS unit, Freyja benefits from stronger damage scaling than a standard AoE character. This makes her particularly useful when you need to clear campaign stages and other PvE waves quickly.
Best for:
- AoE damage
- Campaign clearing
- PvE
- Late-game content
Heracles — Olympus Divine
Heracles is a strong sustained DPS unit who attacks enemies across a vertical row. Her Dragon’s Gall passive builds Crit Rate stacks whenever she performs a basic attack.
As those stacks accumulate, her attacks become increasingly dangerous. Her ultimate can also provide an extra turn after every other cast, allowing her to build up additional damage over time.
Heracles also works well with Prometheus because the pair can activate a 15% attack synergy bonus.
Best for:
- Sustained DPS
- Extra-turn teams
- PvP
- Long battles
Venus — Olympus Divine
Venus is one of the strongest Support characters available. Her Stargaze ultimate heals the entire team while also giving all allies a 10% attack increase for one turn.
Her basic attack provides another useful effect because it heals the ally with the lowest HP instead of simply dealing damage. This gives Venus value even when her ultimate is unavailable.
She works well in both aggressive teams that need additional damage and defensive formations that depend on consistent healing.
Best for:
- General team support
- Healing
- Offensive teams
- Defensive teams
- PvE
Mammon — Blasphemous Pact
Mammon focuses on keeping the team alive during extended fights. Her Azure Pouch ultimate heals every ally and gives Motivation to the ally with the highest attack.
This makes her especially useful when supporting a main DPS character that needs to survive long enough to finish difficult enemies. Her basic attacks also provide additional healing, allowing her to contribute consistently between ultimate activations.
Best for:
- Sustain teams
- Long battles
- Late-game content
- Main DPS support
A Tier Units in Divine Throne
A Tier characters are strong and reliable but generally have more specific roles than the S Tier units. Some are excellent Core choices, while others provide specialized abilities that can become extremely valuable in the right team.
Lilith — Blasphemous Pact
Lilith’s Sow Discord ultimate attacks the two enemies with the lowest HP and has a 30% chance to apply Charm.
Charm is one of the most useful forms of crowd control because it can effectively prevent a target from contributing normally to the fight. Lilith is therefore useful for teams that focus on controlling enemies and finishing weakened targets.
Best for:
- Crowd control teams
- Finishing weakened enemies
- Mid-to-late game
King Arthur — Arcane Camelot
King Arthur’s Sharp Edge ultimate attacks all enemies and has a 50% chance to apply Burn for two turns.
Another major advantage is True Damage, which bypasses enemy defenses. This makes King Arthur particularly useful against late-game enemies with high damage reduction. Burn also adds extra damage after the initial attack.
Best for:
- AoE damage
- Burn teams
- Late-game content
- PvP
Robin Hood — Arcane Camelot
Robin Hood specializes in attacking enemies in the back row. Her Owl Princess ultimate deals heavy single-target damage directly to a backline target, allowing her to reach characters protected by frontline units.
Her basic attacks also focus on back-row enemies, meaning she can maintain pressure without having to wait for her ultimate.
Best for:
- Back-row assassination
- Burst DPS
- Targeting protected enemies
Merlin — Arcane Camelot
Merlin’s Fragrance ultimate attacks back-row enemies with AoE damage and has a 50% chance to steal one Rage from each target hit.
Rage theft is useful because it reduces the enemy’s ability to activate powerful skills while helping your own team charge abilities more quickly. Merlin also provides Damage Reduction support, giving the character both offensive and defensive value.
Best for:
- Rage reduction
- Crowd control support
- Mid-to-late game teams
Nyarlathotep — Blasphemous Pact
Nyarlathotep brings AoE damage and buff removal to the team. Her Transmog ultimate attacks all enemies and has a 40% chance to remove one buff from each target hit.
Buff removal becomes increasingly useful against enemies that rely heavily on stacked buffs. Since each enemy can be checked separately, one ultimate can potentially remove buffs from several targets.
Best for:
- Buff removal
- PvP
- Anti-buff teams
- AoE damage
Odin — Ragnarok Legion
Odin is a strong defensive option with his Rally Hearts ultimate. The skill deals team-wide damage while increasing damage reduction by 30%.
His counter mechanics also allow him to deal damage when enemies attack him, giving Odin offensive value while he protects the team. The defensive boost from his ultimate makes him a useful frontline pivot.
Best for:
- Main Tank
- Damage reduction
- Mid-to-late game teams
- Defensive formations
Hela — Ragnarok Legion
Hela focuses on sustained magic damage through poison. Her Wolf Glance Ghost ultimate applies a damage-over-time effect that continues hurting enemies after the initial attack.
This makes her especially effective in longer battles where poison has enough time to continue dealing damage. Her Core magic DPS scaling also increases the value of her sustained output.
Best for:
- Poison teams
- Sustained DPS
- Mid-to-late game battles
Athena — Olympus Divine
Athena combines AoE magic damage with crowd control. Her Prodigious Talent ultimate attacks all enemies and has a 30% chance to apply Silence for one turn.
Silence prevents affected enemies from using their active skills, making Athena useful against teams and bosses that depend heavily on their abilities.
Best for:
- Silence teams
- AoE magic damage
- Crowd control
Brigid — Arcane Camelot
Brigid has an unusual healing mechanic through her Peerless Beauty ultimate. Instead of simply restoring HP, the skill adjusts the HP percentage of the lowest-HP ally toward the percentage of the highest-HP ally.
This can quickly rescue an ally who is close to being defeated. Her healing is capped at 500% of Brigid’s ATK, but the equalizer effect can be extremely useful when saving an important character.
Best for:
- Emergency healing
- Mid-to-late game teams
- Protecting key units
Freyr — Ragnarok Legion
Freyr works as an offensive Support rather than a traditional healer. His Final Stratagem ultimate combines magic damage with debuffs, allowing him to contribute to both damage and enemy control.
This hybrid role makes Freyr useful for teams that want additional offensive pressure without sacrificing their ability to apply debuffs.
Best for:
- Offensive support
- Debuff teams
- Mid-to-late game
B Tier Units in Divine Throne
B Tier units can still make a real difference, especially during the early and middle stages of progression. However, their limitations become easier to notice as you reach harder content and gain access to more specialized characters.
Poseidon — Olympus Divine
Poseidon’s Iron Cavalry ultimate attacks all enemies and uses available Rage to increase its damage. Rage above two points provides an additional 5% damage per point, up to a 30% bonus.
The major weakness is the two-turn stun Poseidon receives after using the ultimate. This effect cannot be dispelled.
Even with that drawback, Poseidon remains useful because of her 15% attack synergy with Zeus and her solid AoE damage.
Best for:
- AoE burst
- Zeus synergy
- Mid-game teams
Prometheus — Olympus Divine
Prometheus provides several defensive effects at once. Her Benevolence ultimate heals the entire team, gives every ally a shield based on her attack, and provides 10% damage immunity for one turn.
She can fit into many formations, although she generally works as a defensive safety net rather than the main focus of a team. Her synergy with Heracles also provides a 15% attack bonus.
Best for:
- Defensive teams
- Team protection
- Mid-game progression
- Heracles synergy
Brunhilde — Ragnarok Legion
Brunhilde’s Surprise Attack ultimate deals AoE damage, increases her own skill damage by 20%, and reduces a target’s effective power.
Her passive also provides additional value when her Rage is full. The main limitation is her scaling, but the self-buff makes her a useful DPS choice during mid-game progression.
Best for:
- AoE DPS
- Mid-game content
Lancelot — Arcane Camelot
Lancelot is a Tank who can also deal strong single-target damage. Her Exaltation ultimate provides a surprisingly high amount of damage for a frontline character.
Although her scaling is limited compared with stronger units, she remains one of the more useful non-Core Tanks, especially for Arcane Camelot teams.
Best for:
- Arcane Camelot teams
- Frontline Tank
- Single-target damage
Heimdall — Ragnarok Legion
Heimdall’s Fortify ultimate combines damage with team protection. The skill gives allies shields based on Heimdall’s maximum HP, meaning additional HP investment can improve the protection she provides.
Her scaling keeps her below the higher tiers, but the team-wide shielding still gives her a useful defensive role.
Best for:
- Defensive teams
- Team shielding
- Mid-game content
C Tier Units in Divine Throne
C Tier characters are not necessarily unusable. Many can help during early progression, but they tend to have major limitations that become more noticeable later. Some also need star upgrades or very specific team setups before their main abilities become effective.
Loki — Blasphemous Pact
Loki’s Wild Melee ultimate attacks three random enemies and randomly applies one of several effects. These can include Silence, increased damage taken, or preventing basic attacks.
The problem is the lack of control over both the targets and the effect. This makes Loki difficult to rely on when you need a specific enemy disabled.
Best for:
- Early-game crowd control
Pandora — Blasphemous Pact
Pandora’s Bewitchment ultimate attacks every enemy and has a 35% chance to apply Phantom Pain.
Phantom Pain deals damage over time based on Pandora’s ATK while ignoring defense. The effect is useful when it activates, but the relatively low application chance makes Pandora less dependable in important fights.
Best for:
- Early-game AoE
Ares — Blasphemous Pact
Ares attacks all enemies with Volley and can apply up to three stacks of Suppression.
Each stack increases basic attack damage taken by 5%, allowing three stacks to reach a 15% increase. The debuff cannot be dispelled, which gives it lasting value, although the overall bonus remains fairly limited.
Best for:
- Early-game teams
- Basic attack-focused teams
Artemis — Olympus Divine
Artemis deals single-target damage to a back-row enemy and can buff two allies with 15% Life Steal and 20% Crit Damage for two turns.
The buffs are useful, but their short duration and Artemis’ limited ultimate damage keep her from competing with stronger characters. Her role also feels more supportive despite being classified as a non-Core Tank.
Best for:
- Early-game support
- Back-row targeting
Idun — Ragnarok Legion
Idun’s Song of the Long Journey provides healing to front-row allies and removes one layer of debuffs.
The main issue is the limited healing range. Back-row characters cannot benefit from the healing, while one layer of cleanse can be insufficient against enemies that apply several debuffs.
Best for:
- Early-game healing
- Frontline support
Gullveig — Ragnarok Legion
Gullveig’s Unyielding Ferocity deals vertical-row AoE damage and gives her an Armor Shield that can reflect damage for two hits.
The reflection mechanic is situational because enemies need to attack Gullveig while the effect is active. This limits how consistently the mechanic can provide value.
Best for:
- Early-game Tank
- Reflect-based teams
Hephaestus — Olympus Divine
Hephaestus deals decent damage with Road and gains 30% Life Steal after activating the skill.
The Life Steal can provide some sustain, but its limited duration and placement on a Tank make it less effective than the layered defensive abilities offered by stronger characters.
Best for:
- Early-game Tank
- Life Steal builds
Anzu — Blasphemous Pact
Anzu’s Debauched Feast attacks all enemies while giving Anzu and the ally with the lowest HP a shield equal to 110% of Anzu’s attack for two turns.
The shield itself is useful, but the limited targeting and self-damage from the ultimate make the ability more conditional than other defensive options.
Best for:
- Early-game support
- Emergency shielding
Danu — Arcane Camelot
Danu’s Balance ultimate deals vertical-row AoE damage and can apply Burn.
However, the Burn effect only becomes available after star upgrades. Since an important part of her kit requires additional investment, Danu is mainly useful as an early-game filler unit.
Best for:
- Early-game filler
- Burn teams
Angus mac Og — Arcane Camelot
Angus mac Og uses Unyielding to attack enemies in the front row with AoE damage and can apply Burn.
His main limitations are the front-row targeting and reliance on Burn. Compared with other Arcane Camelot options, his overall utility is more limited.
Best for:
- Early-game Burn teams
- Filler DPS
Boann — Arcane Camelot
Boann’s Joint Operation deals vertical-row damage and can provide Immunity.
The problem is that the Immunity effect requires star upgrades before it becomes available. Without those upgrades, Boann mainly provides damage, making her a more conditional choice.
Best for:
- Early-game filler
- Arcane Camelot teams
The Divine Throne: Idle RPG meta can change as new characters, balance changes, and team combinations are introduced, so a unit’s value may not stay exactly the same forever. For now, S Tier characters offer strong options for players looking for reliable damage, healing, or team utility, while A Tier units can fill powerful specialized roles.
B and C Tier characters can still have a place in your roster, especially during early progression or when building around a specific faction. Before spending large amounts of upgrade materials, check a unit’s skills, mastery needs, faction synergy, and intended role to make sure it fits the team you are trying to build.
