Clover Time has several skills that can make moving around the world much easier. One of them is Double Jump, which lets you jump twice and can be very useful when exploring, fighting bosses, or playing against other players.
Getting Double Jump is not difficult, but you need to complete a short training quest from an NPC named Neru. You also need to reach Level 5 before you can start the quest. Here is how to find Neru and complete his training.
Double Jump Requirements
Before you start looking for Neru, make sure your character has reached Level 5.
The requirements are:
- Level 5 or higher
- Find the Neru NPC
- Complete all three training tasks
You do not need any special item to start the training.
Where to Find Neru in Clover Time
Neru can be found near the Demon Skull. The easiest way to reach him is by using any Finral NPC and selecting the teleport option for Demon Skull. After you arrive, look around the spawn area and move to the right. Go underneath the Demon Skull and look for an NPC sitting on a rock. This is Neru. Talk to him once you reach Level 5 to start his training quest.
How to Complete Neru’s Training
Neru will give you three different training tasks. You need to finish all of them to unlock Double Jump.
The tasks are:
- 8 Sit-ups
- 6 Push-ups
- 10 Jumping Jacks
Each task uses the same type of mini-game.
After starting the training, a moving yellow marker will appear on your screen. Your goal is to stop the marker while it is inside the green area.
You need to do this correctly for each exercise.
How the Training Mini-Game Works
The training mini-game is simple, but you still need to pay attention to the moving marker. Watch the yellow marker as it moves across the bar. Press the required button when the marker reaches the green section.
Do this for all three exercises. You have two lives for the full training. If you fail one of the tasks and run out of lives, you will need to start the training again from the beginning. Because of this, it is better to focus on each movement instead of trying to complete it too quickly.
Double Jump Rewards
After completing all three training tasks, return to the quest progression and you will unlock Double Jump. You will also receive several permanent Max Stat increases. The rewards are:
- Double Jump
- +75 Max Health
- +35 Max Stamina
- +50 Max Mana
These stat bonuses make the quest worth completing even if you are mainly interested in Double Jump.
Why You Should Get Double Jump
Double Jump is useful for both movement and combat. When exploring, it can help you reach areas that are difficult to access with a normal jump. It can also make it easier to move around the map and avoid obstacles.
The skill is even more useful during boss fights. Double Jump gives you another option for avoiding attacks and moving away from dangerous areas. It can also help during PvP fights because you have more control over your movement. Since the quest is available from Level 5 and the training is fairly short, there is little reason to skip it.
Getting Double Jump in Clover Time is a quick quest that is worth doing early in the game. Once you reach Level 5, find Neru under the Demon Skull and complete his three training exercises. The mini-game only requires good timing, and finishing it gives you Double Jump along with useful Health, Stamina, and Mana bonuses. The skill can help with exploration, boss fights, and PvP, so completing Neru’s training early can make your character easier to control throughout the game.
