Legacy Piece Wild Hunt Guide: How to Unlock & Get All Materials!
The Wild Hunt has arrived in Legacy Piece as part of a smaller update before the upcoming Devil May Cry content. While the update adds some useful interface changes, the main attraction is the new Wild Hunt weapon and its long questline.
Getting Wild Hunt is not a quick process. You will need to collect memories, farm souls, complete boss challenges, gather fishing materials, clear a difficult mini-game, and eventually enter a dangerous portal. This Legacy Piece Wild Hunt guide covers the full process in order so you can avoid unnecessary backtracking.
Find the Wild Hunt NPC

Your Wild Hunt journey starts at the Graveyard Island, where you can find the Wild Hunt NPC. This character gives you the quests required to unlock the weapon and explains the next objective as you progress.
Before starting, it is worth checking your inventory and making sure your character is strong enough for the later stages. The early quests are manageable, but the final parts become much harder and may require help from other players.
The update also introduces changes to the user interface, including a refreshed health display and a new skill interface. These changes make the new content easier to follow while you work through the Wild Hunt questline.
Collect Four Memories
The first major objective is to find four memories hidden across different islands. These locations can be checked through the quest tab, so make sure you look there if you are unsure where to go next.
The four islands involved in this part of the quest are:
- Legacy Island
- Jujutsu Island
- Hollow Island
- Seventh Company Island
You will need to visit each island and collect its required memory. Make sure you finish all four before moving forward, as these items will be needed again later in the questline.
Farm 1,000 Souls
After collecting the memories, the next quest focuses on gathering souls. This sounds like a massive grind at first, but several different activities can contribute toward the requirement.
The soul rewards include:
- Global Boss: 200 Souls
- Level 25,000 Boss: 20 Souls
- Legendary Contract: 25 Souls
- Mythic Contract: 30 Souls
You need a total of 1,000 souls for this part. You also have several additional objectives to complete, including defeating level 25,000 bosses 25 times, clearing Index or Time Save five times, defeating a Global or World Boss, and completing contracts.
The level 25,000 boss requirement is especially useful because 25 defeats can give you close to 500 souls by themselves. Because of that, you can make solid progress toward the 1,000-soul requirement while completing the other objectives instead of focusing entirely on soul farming.
Complete the Coffin Escort Challenge
Once the soul quest is finished, return to the Wild Hunt NPC at Graveyard Island. You will find a coffin nearby that you can interact with and carry.
This starts another challenge where you need to transport the coffin through a marked route. The important part is avoiding damage while following the path. Red circles will appear in the early maps, and stepping into them can cause problems.
The challenge eventually becomes more difficult. On the third and fourth islands, you also need to watch out for Dullahan, which is indicated by a red line.
There is some good news here: your progress is saved. If you fail on a particular map, you do not have to repeat every previous section. You can continue from the stage where you failed, which makes this long challenge much less frustrating.
Get the Pearl
The next requirement is obtaining a Pearl, and there are two main ways to approach it.
The first option is AFK fishing. The Pearl is guaranteed after reaching 1,000 catches, making this a slower but reliable method if you are already planning to fish for other materials.
The second option is defeating Dullahan 25 times. Dullahan can be found near the Wild Hunt NPC on Graveyard Island, so you can repeatedly fight the boss to work toward the Pearl requirement.
Choose whichever method fits your build and available time. If your character can defeat Dullahan quickly, boss farming may be considerably faster than waiting through a large number of fishing catches.
Gather Tidal Silk and Sea Glass

Once you have the Pearl, travel to Seventh Company Island and look for the Wandering NPC. This NPC will ask for several items before you can continue.
You need:
- Pearl
- Four Memories
- Tidal Silk
- Sea Glass
Tidal Silk and Sea Glass can be obtained through fishing. Because fishing is involved in this part of the quest, you may want to collect these materials while working toward the Pearl rather than treating every requirement as a completely separate grind.
After gathering everything, you can begin crafting the required item.
Complete the Crafting Mini-Game
The crafting process includes a rhythm-style mini-game that can be surprisingly difficult. You have three lives, and failing all three means you will need to attempt the mini-game again.
Using a mouse can make the challenge harder because you need fairly precise timing. Keyboard controls can be easier to manage, especially when using the Z and C keys at the correct moments.
If you fail, there is still some good news. Your Pearl and Memories are not lost. However, another attempt requires additional Tidal Silk and Sea Glass, so repeated failures can quickly become expensive.
Take your time during this section rather than trying to rush through it. Getting familiar with the timing is much better than repeatedly wasting your fishing materials.
Complete Every MK Boss
The next objective is much more straightforward: every MK must die.
You will be given a large list of bosses that need to be defeated. The bosses can be fought on any difficulty, so use the difficulty that you can clear most comfortably.
After defeating each boss, a reflection will appear that also needs to be defeated. Because the sequence may matter, it is safer to follow the order shown by the quest instead of randomly jumping between bosses.
Go through the list one by one and make sure every required boss and its reflection have been defeated before returning to the Wild Hunt NPC.
Enter the Wild Hunt Portal
After completing the MK boss objective, return to the Wild Hunt NPC once again. This time, you will gain access to the portal for the next stage.
The portal allows you to bring up to three additional players with you. This can be extremely useful because the enemies inside are much more dangerous than the earlier quest objectives.
If your build is not strong enough to handle the content alone, find experienced players who can help carry the run. Going into the portal with an underpowered build can result in a very difficult fight.
For solo players, make sure your damage, survivability, and overall build are ready before attempting this stage.
Complete the Final Wild Hunt Requirements
The final portal challenge is not the end of the grind. You still need to obtain a specific title drop and collect additional materials before the Wild Hunt weapon can finally be completed.
The exact requirements can be checked directly through the Wild Hunt NPC. Since these requirements can depend on your current quest progress, always use the NPC as your checklist before spending resources.
Once everything has been collected, you can finally complete the required process and obtain access to the Wild Hunt weapon.
Wild Hunt Weapon Build and Dullahan Mode
The Wild Hunt weapon becomes more interesting as you build up its passive points. Progressing through the passive system eventually unlocks Dullahan Mode, which significantly changes the way the weapon looks and performs.
The weapon already has strong damage in its base state, while Dullahan Mode gives it another level of power and visual flair. This makes the extremely long questline feel more worthwhile once you finally reach the end.
You can also use the newer instant enchanting feature to quickly enchant your weapon and accessories. This is particularly useful when testing different builds because you do not have to spend as much time dealing with the older enchanting process.
Tips for Getting Wild Hunt Faster
The Wild Hunt quest is long, but you can reduce some of the unnecessary grinding by planning your objectives together.
- Check the quest tab frequently so you know the correct island for each memory.
- Farm level 25,000 bosses while working toward the 1,000-soul requirement.
- Use World Bosses when the quest asks for a Global or World Boss.
- Complete Legendary and Mythic Contracts for additional souls.
- Fish for Tidal Silk and Sea Glass while working toward the Pearl.
- Consider Dullahan farming if your build can defeat the boss quickly.
- Use keyboard controls during the crafting mini-game if mouse controls feel difficult.
- Follow the MK boss list in order instead of taking unnecessary risks.
- Bring strong players into the final portal if your build cannot handle it alone.
- Check the Wild Hunt NPC regularly for your remaining requirements.
Is Wild Hunt Worth the Grind?
Wild Hunt is definitely one of those Legacy Piece weapons that asks for a lot of time before giving you the final reward. The quest includes multiple farming stages, boss fights, fishing, an escort challenge, a crafting mini-game, and a difficult final encounter.
However, the weapon itself looks promising once you start building its passive points. Dullahan Mode is also one of the biggest reasons to go through the entire process, especially if you enjoy collecting powerful weapons with unique transformations.
If you are already prepared for the grind, Wild Hunt can be a worthwhile project before the next major Devil May Cry update. Just be ready to spend a considerable amount of time completing its long list of requirements.
