The Dark Side Club in Graveyard Keeper 2 gives you several options for spending Keys in exchange for useful resources. These rewards can include Tech Books, valuable materials, Stories, and Seeds, but the amount you receive depends on how many Keys you use for the order.

Not every exchange is equally useful, especially when you are spending only one or two Keys. The larger four-Key orders generally provide much better value, so knowing what each option can give you is important before spending your hard-earned Keys.

This Graveyard Keeper 2 guide covers the possible Looters rewards from the Dark Side Club, including the different amounts you can get from one, two, and four Keys.

Tech Books Rewards

Graveyard Keeper 2 Looters Rewards – All Possible Key Exchanges

The Tech Books option allows you to choose between red, green, or blue books. The exact color you choose depends on which technology path you are currently working on, but the reward structure changes based on the number of Keys used.

The smaller orders give relatively few books, while the four-Key exchange provides a much larger reward. The books can also have a higher value later in the game, so this option becomes more useful as you approach the end game.

Possible rewards include:

  • 1 Key: 1 Tech Book
  • 2 Keys: 3 Tech Books
  • 4 Keys: 6 Tech Books

The four-Key reward is especially good because the Tech Books received can be worth +100 rather than the lower +25 value. If you are seeing a different type of Tech Book earlier in your playthrough, this can change as you get closer to the end game.

For that reason, spending four Keys on Tech Books is generally much better than using one or two Keys at a time.

Valuables Rewards

The Valuables exchange is focused on gold materials, giving you Golden Nuggets and Golden Ingots. These resources can become useful for crafting and other expensive requirements throughout the game.

The reward becomes significantly larger when you spend four Keys, making it a much more attractive option than the smaller exchanges.

Possible rewards include:

  • 1 Key: Not specified in the tested rewards
  • 2 Keys: 4 Golden Nuggets
  • 4 Keys: 3 Golden Ingots and 30 Golden Nuggets

The two-Key order gives a fairly small amount of gold compared with the four-Key option. Spending four Keys can provide several Ingots alongside a large pile of Nuggets, making it one of the more practical exchanges if you need gold for crafting.

Stories Rewards

The Stories option provides Stories with different quality levels. The smaller orders mostly give Copper-quality Stories, while the four-Key exchange can provide a mixture of Copper, Silver, and Gold Stories.

The tested rewards were:

  • 1 Key: 1 Copper Story
  • 2 Keys: 2 Copper Stories
  • 4 Keys: 6 Copper Stories, 2 Silver Stories, and 1 Gold Story

The one- and two-Key exchanges are not particularly impressive compared with what you can get from the larger order. The four-Key option is much more worthwhile if you actually need Stories because it gives you several quality levels in one exchange.

However, Stories may not be the first reward you should spend Keys on, especially if you already have enough ways to obtain them through normal gameplay.

Seeds Rewards

Seeds are arguably one of the most interesting rewards from the Dark Side Club because the larger orders can give you a huge amount of them.

The one-Key exchange provides several different types of Seeds at Silver quality. The two-Key exchange improves the quality, while the four-Key exchange can provide a massive quantity.

Possible rewards observed include:

  • 1 Key: 4 different Seed types, all Silver quality
  • 2 Keys: 4 different Seed types, all Gold quality
  • 4 Keys: Multiple Seed types in very large quantities

The four-Key Seed reward can become surprisingly large. Instead of getting only a small increase over the two-Key option, the quantity can jump dramatically, with some rewards reaching around 90 Seeds of a particular type.

The exact amount can vary, but the important point is that the four-Key exchange can give you far more Seeds than the smaller orders.

Which Looters Reward Should You Choose?

Not every Dark Side Club exchange offers the same value. Based on the tested rewards, the four-Key options are generally much more attractive than the one- and two-Key exchanges.

If you want to get the most practical value from your Keys, consider the following order:

  1. Seeds – A single four-Key exchange can give you a huge stockpile that may last for most or even all of your playthrough.
  2. Valuables – Golden Nuggets and Golden Ingots are useful for crafting and can be worth taking more than once.
  3. Tech Books – The four-Key option gives a solid amount of valuable Tech Books, especially later in the game.
  4. Stories – Worth considering if you are short on Stories, but less attractive if you already have a reliable way to obtain them.

Are One-Key and Two-Key Orders Worth It?

The smaller orders generally do not provide enough rewards to make them attractive. This is especially noticeable with Tech Books and Stories, where the jump from two Keys to four Keys gives you considerably more value.

For example, two Keys only provide three Tech Books, while four Keys give six. The Story exchange has a similar issue, with two Keys giving only two Copper Stories compared with the much better combination of Copper, Silver, and Gold Stories from four Keys.

Seeds and Valuables can also make the larger investment feel more worthwhile. If you have enough Keys saved, waiting for the four-Key option is usually the better approach.

Best Way to Spend Your Keys

If you are trying to plan your Dark Side Club exchanges efficiently, Seeds are a strong first choice. One large Seed exchange can potentially give you enough supplies that you will not need to worry about Seeds again for a very long time.

After that, Valuables are another good option. Getting Golden Ingots and a large number of Golden Nuggets can cover a significant portion of your future crafting needs, so you may only need to make the exchange once or twice.

Tech Books are also worth considering, particularly when you are closer to the end game and the higher-value books become available. Stories are more situational and are better saved for when you actually need them.

The Dark Side Club’s Looters rewards can be useful, but the value depends heavily on how many Keys you spend. One- and two-Key exchanges often feel underwhelming, while the four-Key options provide much larger rewards across almost every category.

Seeds stand out as one of the best choices because a single four-Key exchange can leave you with an enormous supply. Valuables are another strong option for players who need Golden Nuggets and Ingots for crafting.

Tech Books are worth considering later in the game, especially when the higher-value books become available. Stories are the most situational reward, so there is less reason to spend Keys on them unless you are running low.
