YouTube would frequently add a new feature to a page that was designated for testing new features. A pinch-to-zoom gesture is now available for certain premium users, allowing them to view a video section in greater detail.

The motion that enables all users, paying or not, to fill the screen with a single pinch is separate from the function of the zoom feature. The only way to get to it is to go into the profile settings of the YouTube app for Android and select the option that says “Your Premium Benefits.”

The demonstration of Pinch-to-Zoom will be available till September 1st. After that, we anticipate that the video platform will either formally offer the option or announce a later release date in the event that there are questions over the functionality of the feature.

There is currently no information regarding whether or not the feature will be made available to users who do not pay for the service.
