Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series has been making headlines lately, but the South Korean tech giant has also been busy working on the next generation of foldable smartphones. According to a report by SamMobile, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 will have similar storage options to the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra.

The Galaxy Z Fold5 is expected to come in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants, while the Galaxy Z Flip5 will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB options. However, the 128GB model of the Z Flip5 will use a UFS 3.1 chip instead of the UFS 4.0 chip found in the higher storage models. These storage options are not surprising since the previous year’s Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 had the same storage options.

Although the official unveiling of the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 is still months away, we have already heard a few things about both foldable smartphones. The Galaxy Z Fold5 is rumored to come with a new hinge design to hide the display crease, but it won’t have an S Pen slot. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip5 is said to feature a cover display larger than the Oppo Find N2 Flip’s 3.26″ external screen.

As always, Samsung is keeping details about their upcoming foldable smartphones under wraps, but more information is expected to surface in the coming weeks. We can’t wait to see what innovative features Samsung will bring to their 2023 foldable.
