Recently, HoYoverse, the developer of the popular game Genshin Impact, took a firm stance against leakers who often leaked confidential information about their game. Genshin Impact HoYoverse even decided to summon Twitter to court to reveal the identities of the owners of three leaker accounts on Twitter, namely Merlin Impact, Genshin World, and XWides.

As reported by another media, HoYoverse requested information such as names, phone numbers, IP addresses, and other information held by Twitter for the three accounts.

This was done because each account had leaked images and videos about information that had not been officially released. HoYoverse also took this step because they had asked Twitter to remove all tweets containing leaked information, but the request was not granted by Twitter.

HoYoverse took this action because they felt that these leakers had violated the company’s copyright. In addition, the leakers also became a problem that had to be dealt with by their development team.

In the game industry, information about updates and new characters is crucial and usually released officially at a designated time. However, when this information leaks prematurely, it can ruin the playing experience and reduce the surprise for players. Seems like, HoYoverse is not joking when it comes to dealing with leakers, and they take firm steps to ensure that information about their game does not leak prematurely.

3 of these Twitter Leaker is going on a court in Genshin Impact.
