Riot Games, the developer of Moba League of Legends: Wildrift, officially sued Moonton, the developer of Mobile Legends.. This lawsuit was filed by Riot against Mobile Legends on May 9, 2022 in the high court in California.

Riot Games sued Moonton regarding the issue of copyright infringement committed by Moonton to Riot games as the developer of the Moba League of Legends: Wildrift game. Moonton is considered to have violated copyright by plagiarizing the design of the game League of Legends: Wildrift to be applied to his MOBA game, namely Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

In its report, Riot Games provided some evidence that was allegedly the result of plagiarizing from League of Legends: Wild Rift. In addition, Riot has even attached a lot of evidence that is suspected to be the result of plagiarism by Moonton to be applied to the Mobile Legends game.

One of the most recent ones is the skin Collector Guinevere, who is suspected of plagiarizing the skin from Ahri KDA which was released earlier than Mobile Legends. Then, the Epic Limited skin from Irithel which according to Riot Games is too similar to be considered plagiarizing Leona from League of Legends.
