NetEase Collaborates with University Teaching Minecraft as Optional Course
Minecraft is one of the popular games developed by Mojang Studios. In the game, players can build and use the blocks obtained to make their own creations. This game has 2 modes, namely survival and creative, and Minecraft itself is quite popular for all age. It was so popular that NetEase recently announced a collaboration with Xiamen University of China to provide a developer with knowledge about Minecraft through an optional course.
Chinese University Teaches Minecraft Courses!
Xiamen University itself is an educational institute in China which recently released an optional program related to Minecraft with NetEase which is one of the largest game developers in the country. This program is sponsored by the government there and is focused on education for Minecraft development. Minecraft itself is quite popular among students because of its creative potential and fun. Moreover, Minecraft has been consistent in developing its developer ecosystem.
This program is intended to use and utilize the ecosystem to encourage students to develop content through the Minecraft development Workbench in the UGC program with the help and support of the university.
Students will be taught how to develop and create content in Minecraft!
Students will learn how to execute various ideas utilizing case studies from Minecraft in this optional course. This curriculum will also be taught directly by NetEase game designers, who will educate students on how to use editing tools in games.

According to NetEase itself, Xiamen University will not be the only university collaborating with Minecraft, and they would like to present the course in the future to several other Universities.
