Genshin Impact Tease Sumeru Region

HoYoverse teased their new game region in the next update after officially announcing update 2.8 for Genshin Impact. This was teased on the official Genshin Impact Japan Twitter account, and it gives an idea of how the Sumeru region will become a playable area in the game in the update following version 2.8.

Sumeru is one of Teyvat’s seven regions, the world of Genshin Impact. Sumeru, like the Mondstadt, LiYue, and Inazuma regions, worshipped a god named Kusanali, Archon with the element of Dendro. Kusanali, also known as the Flower Archon, God of Wisdom, and The Lesser Lord Kusanali, is a female Archon. This 500-year-old archon is the youngest of Genshin Impact’s gods, with Morax (Zhongli) being the oldest at 6000 years.

Sumeru is an area that is also related to one of Teyvat’s seven elements, namely Dendro, because all of the new areas of Genshin Impact are massive forests full of greenery. The Sumeru Academia, an institute that covers a wide range of mysterious arts and historical records, is also well-known in the new Sumeru area. Sumeru Academia is the academy where Lisa studied and received her diploma.

Unfortunately, it is unknown when Sumeru will appear at Genshin Impact. Many have speculated that HoYoverse will include it when the game’s 3.0 update follows the previous various updates in which LiYue appears in 1.0 and Inazuma appears in 2.0.
