MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, stands out as one of the most prolific and renowned content creators globally. He gained fame through simple challenges like counting to 100,000, donating money randomly to streamers and the homeless, and giving away cars.

In the past month alone, his videos have amassed over 310 million views, all monetized through YouTube (and recently, X/Twitter). Soon, it seems he is set to make his streaming debut.

Prime Video is said to have greenlit a new TV show with MrBeast, with the creator’s deal estimated at $100 million. This information comes from Puck News. “I’ve learned that Amazon Studios has now closed a deal for a MrBeast television series,” writes Matthew Belloni in his newsletter.

According to Belloni, this will be a competition show, but details on the format of the episodes or the amount of money at stake are yet to be revealed. What we do know is that the first episode will premiere on YouTube before airing on Prime Video in hopes of attracting viewers to the platform.

This would be a significant acquisition for Amazon – but what about Netflix? It’s the most dominant streamer in the current landscape, so why wouldn’t MrBeast make a deal there? Let’s not forget the success of Squid Game: The Challenge, a reality TV adaptation of Netflix’s biggest show ever – following in the footsteps of MrBeast’s real-life version.
