1. Design

This Nexus 5X was made by LG, it’s longer, thinner and a little bit less angular than before. The Nexus 5X was available at Black, Blue and White colors. It’s also has a fingerprint reader, something the Moto X Pure lacks. About the Moto X Pure is a lovely looking thing because by default it’s clad in soft silicone. You can also go to the Moto Maker store and sheath it in genuine leather or bamboo options for your own style. Thus, at this point, the Moto X may be the winner because it has an official leather case from the Moto Maker store.

2. Display

The Nexus 5X and Moto X Pure both use LCD technology. The Nexus 5X has a 5.2-inch LCD that delivered 1920 x 1080p at a resolution of 424-ppi. While the Moto X Pure is bigger and denser at the screen is 5.7 inches which delivered 2560 x 1440p at 515-ppi. That is not an AMOLED, but this is are IPS LCD technology. The Moto X Pure screen is brighter, crisper and offers more vibrant colors.The fact that it’s significantly larger than the Nexus 5X. The Moto X Pure has twin front-facing speakers while the Nexus 5X makes do with only one front-facing speaker.

3. Processor and Storage

The Nexus 5X has equipped with six-core Snapdragon 808 that clocked at the speed of 1.8 GHz and also has 2GB of RAM. The are two storage capacities at 16 GB or 32 GB, and there is no removable storage support.
The Moto X Pure has the same processor but has bigger RAM at 3GB. The storage options are 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB. The Moto X Pure also has a microSD slot, thus, you can add more storage if you need it. (When you love to more photos, video, carry your music collection, install lots of apps, you will appreciate this feature).

The Moto X Pure has another two tricks up its sleeve. First, co-processors for natural language and contextual computing. The both co-processors on the Moto X Pure will drive the phone voice capture systems and reduce the power usage when it is in a pocket. Well, even the Moto X Pure has no Doze mode, but it will help to reduce the power usage on this phone.

4. Camera

The Nexus has equipped with 12.3 MP camera and dual-LED flash on the back. It’s also has a 5-MP front-facing camera for selfies. The 5X has a new sensor with larger pixels than the normal feature. That mean, you will get better low light performance, the bigger pixel, the lighter captures. While the Moto X Pure has a 21 MP rear camera with a dual-LED, and a 5 MP front-facing camera that also has an LED flash. The main Moto X Pure camera is the Motorola’s best. Thus, at this point let say that the Nexus 5X has a better camera with its own new camera sensors.

5. Software

The 5X comes with the latest and greatest Android version, The Marshmallow (6.0). While the Moto still running on Android Lollipop at the official, but a Marshmallow upgrade is coming for the Moto X Pure. However, at this point, the Nexus 5X is better, because you have already run on the latest Android version. It’s also has Doze mode that will make possible the Nexus 5X get longer battery life.

6. Battery

The Nexus 5X has come with 2700 mAh battery capacity while the Moto X Pure has 3000 mAh battery capacity. But, the Moto X Pure is driving a bigger, denser screen so the difference in battery life is likely to be minor. The Moto X Pure ships with 5.1.1 Lollipop. However, it won’t have Android Marshmallow (6.0) improvements until you have got an upgrade. Thus, in the real world, the Nexus 5X may have the edge here (for now). The Moto X Pure comes with a turbocharger which has the ability to charged the battery in one hour and 23 minutes and got it 16 percent charge after just 15 minutes.

7. The Price and Conclusion

The Nexus 5X sell at $379 while the Moto X Pure is $399. That means we are competing on specs and style, the Moto X Pure Edition narrowly wins on both smartphone comparison. The Moto X Pure has a bigger battery, more storage options and a microSD slot, a superb camera and also the stereo speakers. It will look better and you can really make it as your own style using the Moto Maker. They are both great smartphone, but the Moto is that little bit greater than the Nexus 5X.
